Post campaign one shot: it’s years after the final encounter and everything is peaceful. But then the M9 are confronted by a young man, barely out of boyhood. All he says before he attacks is “You killed my father.”
The Mighty Nein exchange looks before frowning at the boy. With an exasperated sigh, Caleb asks: "Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down."
Jester: No, I AM your father. *Casts disguise self* And since then Jester has lived a double life as a random kid's dad, in an attempt to pull off the best "prank" in the history of Exandria. The traveller... is proud.
The fact they're dragging the bloody body TOWARD the window and glass door *while invisible* means there could be someone inside who's having a horror movie of a night, frozen in terror as a man falls over in an explosion of blood, and then starts sliding closer and closer, despite being very much dead.
I love all of Travis's reactions to his wife's actions in this scenario. Laura as Jester saying they could "Weekend at Bernie's" the guard and Travis immediately just going "NOOOOO" get me every time at this point.

You gain temporary hit points equal to the damage taken this way." Suffice to say my HP was very high.
Typical M9 plan: The final plan after 20 minutes of debate is not quite half baked, more like 3/4 baked. A solid enough plan to improvise around other complications, but with some serious holes in it. So the M9 put it into action. Somewhere between 30 seconds and 3 minutes in, somebody does something stupid/rediculous and the whole plan goes to pot and they have to improvise on the run as chaos erupts. Perfection.
I love that one of their most stellar victory was when they stole the Beacon to Zadash's guards right under their nose with clever uses of Disguise Self, Minor Image and Beau's acrobatics prowess... and it was 100% improvised on the spot, like, they were just getting out of the Tri Spires after a catastrophic break-in went awry despite it being meticulously planned and they managed to stole a precious artifact to a bunch of trained guards without them ever noticing through pure improvisation.
Oh man this is so good. You're jester is so cute as she gets covered in more and more blood. Also the little PowerPoint presenter Matt is just brilliant, hilarious and adorable!
I haven’t watched this part for a while. I knew that it was one of my favourite parts because it was so funny, but hearing it again has set me off crying with laughter.
you know it always bothered me storywise that they went to rob this guy's house because a woman with a demon familiar told them to and they killed this innocent guard and this resulted in no alignment change for nott.
Hello! Im a college student making a project about this. Id love to know why and how you got into the fandom, and also why do you think CR is successful right now! Any opinion is valid, thanks!
It's awesome that you're making a project on this! I got into the fandom while I was in college first being introduced to Pathfinder, and as you get into D&D related content online, you're bound to find Critical Role at some point. It's probably gotten so successful due to the performances and stories the players bring to their game and world. They're all professional actors so their performances are all amazing. Just look at all the animatics people have made with them. I hope this was helpful. Good luck on your project!
I didn't find CR until I'd been playing D&D for a few years, and I stuck with it because the stories felt so personal. It was cool to have a medium of storytelling in common that wasn't your bog standard writing in a book. We know the rules of the game, but we also know that individuals can produce possibilities beyond our imagination within the context of the world of Exandria. I can wait for when the quarantine is lifted enough for them to start regular sessions again. It'll be so good.
I got into this fandom about a year ago through a chain of different D&D live streams that eventually led me to Critical Role. As someone else said previously, you can't be a part of D&D content online without finding Critical Role. I got into the fandom because I really wanted to play D&D but had no one to play with so I settled for watching people play. I think it's gotten successful due to the wonderful storytelling and characters. In addition, they are all professional actors and can role play incredibly. Hope this helps!
