Are you still mining Render token? How is it going so far since this video?
I'd really like an artist's guide to this. I have a massive 6000+ frame job to render and I've been having a hell of a time wrapping my head around this. All I need to know is how fast it can render my job and how much it's going to cost me. While other renderfarms have quick&easy calculators for figuring out these basic things, RNDR leaves me with a bunch of obscure information strewn across multiple different websites and forum posts. If it takes more than 5 minutes to figure out, then from a deadline-ridden artists perspective, you're doing something wrong.
I think the issue is that RNDR is more of a proof of concept still. I don't think many people are using it yet.
@@rollerboogieThey need to streamline the process for people to use it then, in case they haven't by now
Great content, man. I would've liked to hear a bit more about the payment scale, how much you were promised for your time, or how much render you should be making per hour, or day.
when I discovered c4d, I also discovered octane, and began wrapping my head around the power of gpus and then came upon cryptocurrency all in one sort of swoop. i also made these discoveries after reading kurzweils the singularity is near, and the more I stare at path tracing rendering the samples in the live viewer and the realism with the material node, and the tug of war with sub surface scattering the more I think about the possibility of creating a real livable simulation. its so interesting the hardware used for cryptocurrency transactions also solve how to accurately represent reality visually. of note, the first thing I saw that really made me grasp how cg and object materials are represented accurately in octane was an all black paper coffee cup, on a black pedestal that you made; the uncanny representation, perfection, etc in the Image struck me and that began the whole rabbit hole for me. anyway! love all your videos and posts per usual.
Things are changing. Always changing.
Please do an updated video on your progress
what is your opinion on the profitability of this now that you've had a few months to see it in action? has anything changed?
Hey Rhett! Do you think a RNDR/ETH address on a CEX such as KuCoin would suffice?
bro we need a new updated video about this content
I am very into this idea, the thing is when you don't have any type of work to do, the computer sits idle, mines other tokens or what?
Hey this is so sick! How many RNDR did you get in the end? How much are you getting per week if your rendering through the night etc?
Hi do you have an update on how its going now if you are still rendering?
Hi Rhett.. great video thank you! May I ask how long it takes to get confirmation from RNDR team for mining? I submitted my form but havent heard back yet. How long did it take you?
Took me a couple of months. They are/were in beta though. Not fully public system.
Would love an update video
Hey! Can you do a video update on this matter?
I'm interested too
Hey man, do you have an update on your RNDR mining? Would be keen to know how it went for you :)
Could you do a breakdown of cost of mining rndr please?
@RhettMankind So this video is 3 years old now, how did this work out??
Can I rent Rendering Power from them as well? since people probably would like to check it both ways, lending power, and renting power.
any update on this? How is it going?
So Rhett, how long did it take before you started seeing the RNDR tokens being deposited?
Too long. Maybe a month.
@@RhettMankind Hi Rhett, just curious roughly the pay/project or how much RNDR you accumulated in week or month. Thanks again for this information
Hey Rhett, awesome vid. Can you let me know if this miner is GPU/CPU heavy. I'm looking for something similar to you. I don't use my laptop much and would like to earn a little coin while I'm not on it.
It uses the CPU to load files in and the GPU to render them. You would need a decent GPU to make it viable and I wouldn't put much expectations on returns, still experimental
Where can I get mining software? Can't get an invite to mine tokens?
So, did you get it eventually?
the mining page says i'm not authorized to access it. are there geographical restrictions?
Are you still mining Render token? How is it going so far since this video? how many tokens you get for a moth ?
any update today on this mining RNDR using gpu?
so how much does it pay ?
What would be a good GPU to get use as a dedicated mining unit?
The latest which you can afford, and the next upgrade would be buy better that that of what you can afford.. good thing about gpu is that it can be sold out again... I did some video about this on my UA-cam channel.. 3090 to be precise
Can we get an update on profitability? I see you didnt answere this question in earlier comments. There is not a telegram or discord for rndr??
I didn't keep records of profitability. Only ran it for a couple of weeks.
Hello, are you still mining? I was wondering how it works right now and if it's possible with apple computers
Are you still mining this coin? Thanks
Is there any plans for this project after eth2.0
Any update on this? Are you still doing it?
How much do you have to invest?
Did you get something or is a scam?
I did get something eventually, but it took a while. Not a get rich quick scheme, but definitely not a scam
Hi
Bro, I wanted to be in the mining side but is impossible to reach to the submist request to be in the waiting list. Maybe do you know something? Maybe is not adding more gpus right now and later will add more? Could u know something about this?
This video is quite old and they have likely updated their processes
How is the process now?
I wish I saw this video before! when you published this video RNDR token was 0.05 and later it peaks to 8$.. did you actually invest in it? Great one tbh 👍
I mined like I showed in the video. (and yes, sold the top)
Roughly how much can be earned? is it better than mining? im a mid level 3d artist, and also a crypto investor, even mining 247 now, saw a spike in rndr token this week, also a drop, was thinking of investing some money in the token, so was also searching if there was a possibility to mine it.. landed up to your video. thanks
I've been into crypto for a while and I literally just found out about this and watched the video. I don't anything as far as earnings go for this but I do know that mining for the Helium Network (which is another amazing project) is where it's at right now!!!
Went to rndr website the day I commented.. to apply as a node operator... didn't get the reply.. nir was able to pass out the info to my followers.. wish invested back then... too late now.. the only point I see good to invest is the $2 zone!
How do I send my work as a creator to get my stuffed rendered?
i try to entenring on the site now and just say "You're not authorized to access this page"
When I click on the second link for the mining, I get a "You're not authorized to access this page" message. Any ideas? Thanks.
This guide is many years old and outdated. Check their website for updates

This guys laughing now :p
How long did it take to hear back after you applied?
Think it was about a month. I believe they are accepting slowly to help iron out any bugs etc
@@RhettMankind Ahh thanks, good to know, applied a couple weeks ago and wasn't sure how long to wait.
@@detore i am waiting 3 months now :(
Seems to me more of a marketing thing to get into crypto space..
@@CGescape I got accepted and have been mining for ages. Definitely not
How much money u got from that job?
This question is too vague.
@@RhettMankindIs it actually worth it from a financial perspective ?
@@Gromic2k Not right now, though it's still in a bit of a testing phase
@@Gromic2k Never. Unless you have a cluster of GPU's to keep up and live in a municipality/state with low electric bills. You need to invest at minimum 10's of thousands of dollars for the GPU's and we're not even counting the high electric bills. You might break even in less than a year but barely.
Three years later, still no OpenCL support.
Why? Nvidia and CUDA is king.
RNDR 1000X ✅👍🚀🔥🔥🔥
I am not a creator but intrested in the project, what were the steps you took to mine tokens?
This is literally the content of the video
@@RhettMankind 😂 some people are so lazy lol
Where to download that rendr client?
oops
You're not authorized to access this page
Sooooooooooo how the fuck do u mine the render token then. All I've heard in this video is a bunch of waffling about render and nothing explaing or to join your gpus to the network
Did you try?
mate mining RNDR in this case means you provide your GPU power to the network to render other people's work and get paid in RNDR token, chill...
