    Hello. We are planning to move to the Fort Pierce/Vero Beach area from Raleigh NC sometime in the coming year. So I really appreciate your videos on the treasure coast. Your camera quality and work is quite nice. I do have one suggestion tho…. for you and many other location Vloggers…
    It’s Simple… just turned the camera around so that it faces out and the listener can be enjoying the scenery and views while you’re talking. You don’t even have to be specifically describing the view. Just let the people watching have more visual experience of the actual locations while you’re sharing the general information. I find this happens most of the time with bloggers… 90% of the video is watching a talking head talk about a location rather than seeing the actual location.
    Please don’t take offense. You have a fine looking talking head, but most interested parties would like to see other things.
    I find the majority of locations voggers make this mistake. So… just
    Point the camera out towards the view, whether you’re driving along or walking a beach or touring the town areas
    You can cover all the information and offer a more satisfying visual experience.
    Think about it … perhaps you can be the example of a better way Thanks!

      @@christasantoni7121 thanks for your insight! I’ll definitely try to show more with the camera the other way! Eventually I would love to try flying a drone around and showing the area that way too. I’ll let you in on a trade secret though. I can’t speak for the other vloggers, but for me as a realtor showing my face a lot is strategy that I learned in my UA-cam courses. It helps the viewers feel more comfortable with me and less hesitant to reach out to me to buy or sell here in the area. I do understand where you’re coming from though and I will try to flip the camera around more!

    What’s the safety rating? I hear Fort Pierce has a 7/10 crime rate. That’s pretty high. That area looks beautiful though.

    Lived here for 54 years its all old news now not like it used to be nowhere near it this area where this video is being filmed during late evening is known for mosquitoes and a little critter we call noSeeums you very rarely see them but you feel their bite and they love to bite people from up north for some reason fort Pierce is my home I've explored every inch some favorite spots now are laid over by pavement or parking lots we are close to the space Coast where we can observe every rocket being launched from the cape and we're smack Dad in the middle of the treasure Coast our place is not meant for everyone but it's special to us sometimes we struggle with hurricanes and tornadoes which has gotten progressively worse but it's our chosen way of life

    How about across the bridge by the beach area. Lots of places to eat. Tiki bars and other restaurants. How is living on the east side of the bridge. Thumb Point community for example?

    • @TreasureCoastLife
      @TreasureCoastLife  Рік тому

      You’re correct! In this video I was focusing on the mainland part of Fort Pierce as opposed to the Hutchinson Island part as they are fairly different. There are great places to eat there on the Island, and I love the beachy, laid back, friendly feel of Thumb Point! I actually have a video going over the pros and cons of living in that area

    If you're thinking about Fort Pierce, stay east of Route 1.

    • @TreasureCoastLife
      @TreasureCoastLife  Рік тому +3

      East of the US-1 is really nice, especially along the Indian River Drive and on Hutchinson Island!
      There are some absolutely beautiful old homes throughout West of the US-1 also. Some of them are diamonds in the rough just waiting on the right homeowner to come along and restore them to their former glory!

      @@erical5544I like Fort Pierce South, and I’m gonna say that the middle and North are an acquired taste. Mostly older smaller homes with little pockets of larger homes. Some might say it looks rough but they have kind of a fun Caribbean feel to the neighborhoods. If you go a little further north you have Lakewood Park which is one of my favorite places!

    What about on the st Lucie River just west of white city? Looking at properties on the river. How is it around there? I’m moving from Fort Lauderdale where I lived my entire life looking for somewhere not as crowded. Also looks like flood zone in the area around st Lucie River near white city. Is that an issue?

    • @TreasureCoastLife
      @TreasureCoastLife  Рік тому +1

      It’s beautiful there! Most of the neighborhoods have the large oak trees with Spanish moss hanging from them. It’s very picturesque southern feeling. As an added bonus the White City Park there is probably our favorite park in the area. Beautiful park, good fishing, and a free boat ramp.
      Living on a river or close to it will put you at risk of a storm surge, usually for a category 3 hurricane or larger. Unfortunately that’s the risk of living on an ocean access river.
      Midway road, which runs through White City, is also starting to see some development now which is good for the area too.
      I hope this helps! Feel free to call me to learn more 8066789067

      S Indian River Dr homes are 20-35ft above sea level.. No flood zone.. Only spot on east coast that is on water and doesn't have to worry about floods

      What type of nurse are you? Lawnwood is the regional trauma center and the only hospital in Fort Pierce. My wife is an ICU nurse at Cleveland Clinic Tradition in Port St Lucie and she loves it there! There is also St Lucie Hospital nearby in Port St Lucie

      It definitely depends on which county and city you’re in, but on average Florida has slightly lower property taxes than California. At least that’s what every source I looked up said
