- As If the crime and poverty wasn’t enough to degrade life in Fort Pierce, Florida.. allegedly over 260,000 peacocks now rein terror over the residents of the city. The officlas claim they got a great deal tho, and it was a great investment. The residents claim they are aggressively territorial and poop on their 73 donks. One resident claims he has to wash his 96 impala which he has nicknamed “the kitty cage” daily to remove droppings. Others claim their concerns included salmonella and lice.
Despite needing massive improvements, some Florida cities cant keep themselves from making rediculous implosive purchases.
This is not a troll, they actually did this 🤣

They only showed the bad parts, not the A1A beaches and neighborhoods by South Jetty Park or Seaway Drive, or the City marina, the historic district. I could go on.

The beaches are great in Fort Pierce. I am from West Palm Beach, but like Fort Pierce beaches more.
My first trip to Florida was in 1979 when I was 15, and some family friends took me to Fort Pierce. We stayed at the South Seas motel near the ocean (probably long since torn down) and went to Disney World one day.
My first trip was in July 1999. I stayed for 2 weeks and I actually liked the people who make up the community. Halfway through the vacation I went to WD World and returned to Fort Pierce with a respiratory infection. LOL ✌️
Fort Pierce is Crazy Town USA.

Ahhh, my hometown. You either love it or hate it but if you're from here you learn to love and hate it and no matter how many times i've left I always end up here. Though, spent 8 years in California and met my hubby of 14 years out there, who is a Cali native (Merced, Ca) and it's funny but like after dating a bunch of scummy "fuck boys" from The Fort i learned to avoid them like the plague and it wasn't until I went to Cali I met a real man who is not afraid of HARD WORK or COMMITMENT. Of course now we're living in Fort Pierce but he has a great job installing gutters here. We actually live near to where you were in this video, that Circle K is about 4 blocks from me or so. I'm near 13th and Delaware, but on the South Side of Delaware ave, while ya'll stayed over on the north side of Delware/Okeechobee Rd. Ave D is pretty much a world famous "hood" spot in Fort Pierce. And in 2008 Fort Pierce had THEE Highest crime rate in the US out of ANY other city it's same size (around 55,000 people or so at the time)...ah yes, good ol' Port Fierce, The Fort. xD Everyone leave but they always end up back here. (Oh and we all love those Peacocks been apart of this town for decades. There's probably only a few hundred, not in the thousands!
It really is a small portion of the city (the areas in your videos) that has issues with gangs and sh*t. The main thing with fort Pierce is it's just really old and the county doesn't put much money into renovations and stuff outside of Hutchinson island and some areas of downtown. There actually is a lot of history and a vast majority of the people from fort pierce are really just older country folks in somewhat rural neighborhoods. Only parts of fort Pierce that are rough is around Lincoln Park areas. North of orange Ave. Which back during segregation, was the part of Fort Pierce where black folks had to live. Ave D back in the day was the street where families did shopping, started businesses (some still operating decades later, such as Bo' crab spot which has some of the best sea food around Aside from that, it's just an old city with not too much money. Most the county budget goes to Port St Lucie. And most our county income comes from justice system so people tend to get locked up for anything out here including poss of under 20grams of cannibus. Rock road is like 80 percent nom violent cases. Cool fact, Aretha Franklin, godmother of soul music had a house in Fort Pierce I believe. Registered Historical Site. In the middle of the hood but still an Important part of history. Especially African American history
Thank you! I grew up skipping school every Tuesday to go to the beach never had a minute of trouble. There’s a lot of history there, and a lot of people who are fighting to preserve it.
I love Ft Pierce, one of my favorite restaurants is there, Cobbs Landing.
I was born and raised in Fort Pierce. I never knew or heard about Aretha Franklin God mother had a house. My great grand mother was a Missionary in Fort Pierce and my grand mother sister was a well known contractor.

OMG! I have quite a SSB ( SOB) story! Bought it from family member who bought it cash ($17,000 new back in the day). They warned me &, of course, it was so beautiful they had it for years in a garage ( which ruined the car). Nobody had ever sat in the front seat. So EURO! Unfortunately, I found out the hard way ( that year they were lemons) and it spent more time in the shop eating my paycheck. Sad when you consider that SAAB was posh & started with airplane engines. Heavy car though. Had a blowout on Miami's Palmetto and that car was a tank. Saved my life ( how ironic is that! ;) Love your banter .LMAO!

I came here to live with a friend for a couple years when my rent got raised and I had no where to go. I love Florida but this place was just awful. I won't return unless I have to which is because everything I own is still there.

I lived in Ft. Pierce until 2019 - it was a good area. You're showing areas that are poor - like any place in America, you have poor areas.
I lived in Indian River Estates and it was quiet and a lot of fun. I could jump on my motorcycle and ride around - especially to the west where there was a lot of open roads to enjoy a hot days' ride
You could have headed south on U.S 1 and shown the stores and restaurants that line the area. Further south in Jensen is the mall. There are things to do. You showed the bad areas, not the good of Ft. Pierce

@@0906blue I was born and raised in that area. The water by the bridge going to the beach is beautiful. Way nicer than Vero Beach. I was amazed because so much of ft. Pierce was not nice or attractive at all. I have been to many places

We moved down from Milwaukee Wisconsin which was a terrible, crime ridden city and couldn't believe how much worse Ft Pierce is

@@0906blue You say for 2 years. I was born and raised . And a lot of family and family history. Plus yes it's cheaper for outsiders coming in. But for some of the people it's expensive. Good jobs hard to come by. Unless you know someone to get in sometime. I moved for better opportunities. But came back for my mom. The grandparents passed then my 2 uncles. Then last year my mom passed two days before Mother's Day. Everything you have to go outside to shop. So it's not like back in the day. So I don't care any more. The people that really cared has passed away.
i was looking into lehigh since its close to ft myers beach and more affordable but this (ft pierce) is nice once you get out the hood. beach and shopping nearby unlike lehigh. was avoiding this area based on others but thanks for the tour guys.
P.S i found out coconuts and mango can grow in ftp. definitely going to consider this city now

This is a stupid video. He picked the worst crime infested area of Fort Pierce. I realize it was from 2022 (2 years ago). Avenue D is known for drugs and violent crime. This area has been neglected and passed over by developers and has been treated as the step child........
