@@GoofyAhh620 no goku is alive in super but at the beginning of this clip goku was dead pan and everyone was seeing goku spirt fighting his last fight to save the world for the last time only vegeta and bulma kinda knew goku wasn’t their with them anymore while everyone else was screaming at him to come home soon. This is GT I would say the first alternate timeline before super was every became a thing

The end of GT shows Goku achieving Taoism. A state of ascension that only those whose heart is pure and righteous can ever hope to achieve. Those who achieve this form has technically ascended into godhood and will therefore reside in heaven for eternity. They are also allowed to descend to the mortal world whenever they wish. They can interact with the mortals as well like how Goku talked to his great grandson and how he showed up at the tournament.
Very interesting concept.
@@SK-bi7ds it would explain Goku suddenly leaving with Shenron “to train” and the dragon balls being absorbed into his body. He technically died during his battle with Omega Shenron but he achieved Taoism in the process and was therefore able to destroy Omega Shenron with his God powered super spirit bomb. It would explain why Vegeta looked so distraught and Goku stating “They’re in his hands now” meaning Vegeta will officially be the Earth’s most powerful warrior.

this is the saddest moment in all of dragon ball because we know how much pan missed goku and how proud goku junior was to wear goku's old clothes, i wouldn't be surprised if vegeta cried when he got home.

No matter how much we want to see the heroes continue their adventures, there must be an ending so that they can finally achieve their long deserved rest. Mainly that's what we want for those characters, to have their happy ending.
Yeah, its a deserved rest, thats why it hits so hard. Goku and Vegeta have already made sure the Planet is in good hands, and wont be immediately destroyed when they go. The next generation is already taking the torch. You want to really cry though... Watch the end for Master Roshi.

There is something so haunting, so depressing, tragic and sad about how unbelievably vague and mysterious Gokus fate was. Goku had died so many times, I never thought him dying would affect me, but it was the way this was written, and executed that made me wanna cry non stop, it hurt in a way, Goku was gone, and we have no clue where
That’s exactly why they wrote it that way. They knew if he just died you’d know the dragon balls could bring him back but if they took the dragon balls away and left it kind of vague then they could get the feeling that it was really over
Though I don't get how this works, the ending probably means goku is dead out of old age, even if he's a saiyan. If Shenron brought everybody who got killed in the Shenron Saga back, Goku would be revived as well.

@@arcaninetheboss7262 Absolutely. The ending with all the differents sagas of DB and DBZ and Goku at the end when the narrator says "Here is the Goku that we all love, Goodbye dear friend, Goodbye, Son Goku !" I cried intensely and find someone who will not.
Also, GT is a masterpiece in japanese and this is why so many hate it, because they see it in english, or french, or spanish or anything. In Japanese, GT is absolutely incredible and it makes me feel so weird to know that it's not even canon and it's some kind of a fan fiction.

I saw Dragon Ball from the very start, every adventure from Goku's journey, it was a long way, when this final episode aired I cried with my heart in my hand, I knew it was the end of an era, the end of my childhood.

I think the saddest part of this, is knowing he knew he owed his life to Goku in every way spiritually and figuratively.
And he knew that he’d never, ever see him again. He knew he hadn’t just died but he had been summoned to something greater / worse than life or death, heaven or hell. And like all partnerships when you realise that person is gone, you’ll never ever be the same again.
I remember when my dad died and I accidentally yelled dad went up to a stranger and realized it wasn't him I was nine so I said sorry and left.
