It's fun watching you play 40k, there is more uncertainty because AOS is your bread and butter and you are learning 40k as you go. 40k in 40minutes played a game of AOS about six weeks ago and it was also alot of fun. I do like a crossover. 😊
Looking forward to this series :) Just some advice, usually ruins are counted as line of sight blocking, even when they have windows:) It makes it a but harder to just shoot your opponent off the board (doesn't seem to be happening here though)
Thanks! We've adopted those rules in our larger 40k games since - well at least 1'st floor windows being considered closed, but yeah we hadn't learned or being doing that when we played this game. thanks for the feedback!
Great content as always. Your production, (such as camera angles, narration), and playstyles, (competitive, but with a friendly attitude), always make for enjoyable games to watch.
Beautifully painted armies! Always keen to see more 40k it's so similar to AOS that it was super easy to pickup for me with no double turn! I feel like as well in 40k you won't critically lose a game from a couple of bad rolls. Such a fun game can't wait to see more!
Definitely have the same issue as you with the Space Marine combat patrol. I'm finding it impossible to beat my brother's Tyranids, they just have way too much objective control, far more movement as well as the termagants battleline it makes it nearly impossible to control objectives. The psychophage is also nearly impossible to kill with the combat patrol units!
I believe that they can Deepstrike in Round 2. There were a few issues I saw in this video that slanted the victory to the Nids. First, the Marines were down a unit from the get go. You are supposed to have Captain Octavius AND Librarian Tantus. Also noticed on one of the rounds where Tyranids got a command point reroll when the Captain held their home objective. Also they didn't award the 2 VP per kill from the Captain. The score I believe should of been A LOT closer even without the Librarian. Like 37 SM to 45 Tyranids.
Love these models.. would love to know how you painted them! Ps. Played my first game recently. 1-shot the winged prime with the librarians force axe haha!
A well crafted battle report - but I have to say that the SM player's strategy was sorely lacking. He even touched on the fact that the marine units were paired off against the wrong foes - but did not move the units against the targets he knew they should have been facing. Wasting the teleported Captain on miscellaneous backfield units instead of placing him down against the winged tyrant or the psychophage was also a tactical error! This matchup IS one that the marines can win, but you have to use the units a bit more shrewdly.

Sure his strategy wasn't great, but he was down a unit and they weren't keeping score with the Captain's kills either. Not sure if they are just extremely unfamiliar with the units or what?
@@geekthulhu2337 lol, watch the video again. The librarian was attached to the terminators and he selected the other secondary objective, shock tactics, not wrath of the emperor.
Very good compact battle report with intereseting explanation between the rounds! Keep up with 40k!
Great battlerep and loved how you talked through the tactical options and decisions in the end. Looking foward to the bigger battles in the future

I love the way you guys do Bat-reps. Great to see you branch into 40k even more!

Great battle report, loved that Stormcast turn 3!
Loved the video! Also hyped for combat patrol games now!
Glad you enjoyed it Luca!
This was great please do more combat patrol battle reports
For the Norn Queen. 👾
I would like to see more. I am really intrigued by combat patrols and i plan to buy one or two more of them.
I just printed the Daemon Combat Patrol, would love to see it played
Good to see you branch into 40k as well! Great quality as always. Looking forward to more AOS and 40k!
Love this. I prefer the format to the AOS battle reports and will definitely tune in more for 40k!
Thanks for the kind words! Out of curiosity why do you prefer them over the AoS 'reps? it's a very similar format from my perspective :)
@@SeasonofWar More cinematic shots rather than just top down and side view, for me it makes it a lot more engaging like you are in the action.
i love "stormcasts turn 3 " :D
This was a great watch, really enjoyed it!

I tnought he couldn't command re-roll his battle shock as you controled his home objective?
Can the captain arrive from Deep Strike in the deployment zone at round 2? I believe the ruling is you can only do that from round 3 and on?

Wow great sound effect + narrator voice!
Quick comment:
- 3:37: I don't believe the Barbs have Line of Sight on the Infernus.
Through the windows they did.
Stormcast turn 3 😄 old habits die hard
