Former Mcnasty worker here, Cash only was really the worst because during that time thats when the drunk n high ppl come n order a lot of stuff, so u gotta make sure u rounding up right n writing everything down on the back of a large bag 💀, then gotta take the whole fry station apart and ice cream machine to clean that n all the other dishes while in between that rushing back to taking orders when a car came, getting ready to switch over to breakfast by setting up the coffee mugs n switching over all the sauces n everything n prepping ice coffee.... I can go into a lot more because I worked there before covid n after covid, worked all shifts before, but Good shi u doing your thing Bri 👏🏾💯🤍

I currently work at a franchisee McDonald’s that closes at 11pm and we have to close the store at 12am i mostly do close it isn’t fun but it’s the same everyday unless it’s busy it hurts my back but i can’t be bothered doing rushes and seeing kitchen going to hell and burning myself or doing line with the manager yelling. That’s why i want to move to a 24 hour one and there is a corporate maccas near me that is 24 hours and i just want to prepare myself And is moving from franchisee to corporate easy??? Or nah? I rarely meet my gm as closers lol mostly shift managers and I don’t wanna offend them

@@lexconnolly_ some people said to me it was a little bit nicer than closing maybe tiring at times cause it may be busy but just plain closing is more tiring as you don’t really have the time to seat you only have 1 hour to reassamble everything, put everything back, do grill close, do bin room, flood everything, put everything in the freezer/fridge, count waste, (manager count stocks employee counts waste) Turn everything off, if front haven’t done it kitchen guys will do front vats etc etc atleast they say in 24 hours it’s much more spaced out and the orders aren’t crazy sometimes a handful but isn’t crazy and nobody really cares about the time (i heard). Most of this you’ll do solo (cause one person is in washroom) and front peeps have their own world

McDonald's is absolute hell, but I can't stop myself from enjoying working there, service is so much fun. Working next to the freeway makes the drive-thru awful especially when I'm put onto Lane 2, My Monday manager would even have me do Window and run both the fricken screens (Lobby/Drive Thru) Though we've been understaffed during the holidays (Christmas Eve, 3pm there were only 6 of us in the store, we usually have more which helps to make it go faster). After working there for the past 4 months, I can indeed say this is the best first job and is definitely a wake-up call. For those who are just starting, bite your tongue for the next 2 weeks and you'll eventually learn how to manage the stress of going to work and you'll even look forward to it. I thought I would loathe every afternoon after school because of work, but it's honestly "whatever". I'm finishing up my senior year and this semester I'm leaving school early (I have my credits finished, there's no way I'm losing my grades to the Maccas lol) to increase my hours to 8-hour shifts, I already work 5 days a week so I've had a lot of experience. I might leave after high school, but Mcdonald's has impacted my life so much already.

Also try working at Home Depot or a toy store stick to a store that sells specific items. When you work a food store and novelty stores like dollar tree customers tend to act the worst.
When I worked at a Burger King there would be water coming out the air vent too. It was water that pooled in a certain spot on the roof. I would go up to the roof sweep the water into drains, and the leak would stop.

I used to be the same way about those iced coffees, always added an extra pump or 2 of sweetener. I used to have a lady who would come in and request for me to make her iced coffees bc I made them the best lol.

You had to deep clean on 3rd shift? I worked 1st shift at BK and we'd have to deep clean , while 3rd shift would continue taking orders until 3:00 a.m. we had to reopen again at 5:00 a.m
I work McDonald’s and multitasking can be challenging for those that don’t have experience. You get the hang of it pretty fast. Money wise the machine tells you how much everything is so all you have to do is give back the right change. Hope that makes sense c:
