I love how calming her voice is, when she sings it feels so authentic and that everything she says is comforting but also honest. That she's been through rough times just like any person and that's really nice.
It was 1984, I was 14, his name was Donny, I met him visiting my grandfather that summer, and this song played all summer while we fell, hearing this song takes me right back.
At first I really didn't like this version or her singing, but after listening several times I completely changed my mind. Her voice has this special intriguing quality that you can't shake off.
Only the good Lord knows in what and how these melodies affect the human pshychy over the years but they continue to do so and I'm perfectly fine with that ....

I don't normally leave comments sorry but just had a question... My channel once had a lot of covers and when I did this particular cover... Just me and an acoustic guitar it was deleted by Don henleys musuc company directly... So it was Warner or universal or whoever owns his music... I had a look and there's a million guys doing what I did... Anyway why does this happen? I suppose your gonna tell me it was extra bad ha
Hmm not sure, you should be able to keep it up as covers are considered fair use. If you've still got the recording I would repost it, just state clearly that it's a cover. They probably took it down automatically when a computer picked it up, sounded too close to the original maybe 😉
@@thomasfoster5200 no that's fair enough - i just wanted to provide some context. it's a very fair observation and i've heard many people say that based on her songs too
I think it was a bad decision to have the guitar player randomly start singing backup vocals during certain lines. That breaks immersion in the song and it doesn't fit the narrative tone at all of the narrator being a single individual person lamenting the past.
Maisie is one of those few artist who started doing covers who transitioned into a string of really impressive originals. An amazing talent.
What? She was doing originals at the beginning?
Maisie stood out as an early youtber because she didn't do covers her songs were all her own originals.
@@martinedwardfleet That's odd. I was sure I first saw her because of a cover. Good for her then, that's very rare.
@@MarkDAllen She was a busker so covers aren't new to her.
She released a cover of I'll Be There For You 2018 for Spotify

Just such a beautiful song and she sounds adorable

There's the original version and there is this version. That is all a fan needs.

I wasn't sure about her voice at first either, and it kind of grew on me. I really enjoyed it.
I believed she will get me back! Very nice!
i think about this cover all the time

The guitar is hitting me in the soul rn. 😌
This song is so good slowed down.
Instrumental: 8/10
Vocals: 7/10
Omg this is outstanding
Kinda in love with Maisie peters ngl
It's like the opposite of when I try to sing a song by a British artist.
You are the best💚
amazing song 💙💛💚
💜
Great version😃…do you know what Dead Head is?😃

@@sazbear3913 thanks... Yea maybe it was a "glitch in the system" type thing algorithm stuff all that... Thanks again!
Beautiful unique version. I hear Nanci Griffith in her voice and it makes me sad.
poor kid. never had any real experiences with love. no wonder there's no feeling in this.
Spotify please
Hollaaa maisiee🥰
Lumayan cantik
Dead head sticker on a Cadillac ….😃
Sounds like Taylor swift
Taylor Swift is someone she constantly brings up as a musical inspiration so it makes sense she would
@@tiasnails3552 well it's the 1st time I've ever seen or heard this person so I wouldn't know that. Just my observation

I mean fucking no notes. Everything works.
No shade or hate she was adorable but there are some songs that just shouldn’t be sung by other people 🥴
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think this cover is horrible....
Wow this is terrible
what's this new trend of singing like a 5yo? meh
THIS SONG BANGS, I love it and I’m so happy YOUZ OF ALL PEOPLE doing a cover :)
