- How Harley Davidson Possibly Made A Marketing Mistake!
Harley Davidson loves making motorcycles and bringing out new models for us all to salivate over. But sometimes, the timing of these new bikes may need to be corrected. Please let's jump on my Road Glide and chat about this marking blunder.

The 120 road glide ultra anniversary edition is more expensive than the new CVO. I believe the MSRP on that one is over $50K.
Just can’t pull the trigger on a CVO. Great video Jack
I’d rather have the CVO. But! ☝️ If the infotainment center ever went out on it you would be looking at around $3,500 to replace it. So get the extended warranty 😎👍
I think Harley screwed the pooch for the 120th anniversary models. The new CVOs look to be with newer tech and all the 120th has is limited production & cool paint. I would rather have the CVO Road Glide or Street Glide over the 120th models all day long!
There will always be CVO's but there will only be 1 120th Anniversary Edition.
The CVOs hold a premium value over time...the anniversary editions really don't (eg 100th, 105th etc)
I put my cup holder on the left side because I didn't want to have to go on cruise control every time I take a drink.
If I was in the market for a new glide I am waiting for 2024 to see what upgrades from the CVO make it to the non CVO models. Like inverted forks and improved rear suspension. Also that dash. To me the 120th bikes should have been a more limited run. 1500 of each model isn’t that rare in the scope of things.
I'm doing exactly the same thing man!
The 120th bikes are beautiful. I wish that color was available on the CVO.
The Anniversary edition is one sweet ride, but you bring up a good point on pricing. New bike in your future???
If it was me that bought a 120A Edition ... I'd be pissed.
Been debating whether to trade my TriGlide in on a RoadGlide 3 in spring of 2024 so I can see if there is any changes, and if not I’ll look for a leftover 2023 😎👍
Still too much for me I'll just keep my old junk .at least all of mine is paid for LOL
Same here brother!
@@waltertodd4281 me too
I think most folks that bought the 120th are fine with the CVO coming out right after, because anniversary editions are going to be a bit more rare than the CVOs….. Just my thoughts
And since time has shown that the 100 anniversary hasn't really carried any premium over time, it doesn't matter anyway.
Since they made 1500 of each model not much of a exclusive bike.
@@Petesmotoadventure should have had a limited run on special editions…??
If I were in the market for a new bike...if the 120th anniversary and the new CVO's are near to the same price point....personally I'm going for the CVO!!...great video...stay safe out there!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦
I love 120th paint but my prospect gold stole my hart peace ✌️
Harley is heading down the same path that GM did with the Corvette. The 100,000 dollar sports car.
For rich and famous only. The loaded CVO bagger at
52,000 plus tax title tag delivery and dealer prep charges bring it close to almost 60,000.
Do they really think the average working class rider can afford that.
In my humble opinion as an HD customer since 1987 they are going to alienate their most dedicated customers.
The best thing that I think that they have done recently is the Pan America and the Low Rider ST.
Shit canning the Road King is a bad idea also. Yes its still here but looks like they are getting ready to kill it.
No quick release windshield as equipped either. WTF.
Calling the new Rev Max Sportster a Sportster not a good decision either. Rather call them names of defunct models from their past.
The Sportster is dead. This is the opinion of every Harley rider I know and asked that question of.
Im ok with the Rev Max bikes but agree that they should have called them Roadsters or something else.
I own an 07 Sporty and a 2022 PAS and low them both.
My next big twin will be a Twin Cam or EVO powered bike.
What I decide on will depend on mileage and condition but thats the direction Im going for a big twin.
The prices are not even close. Anniversary edition 30899 and the cvo is 42999 12k is a lot of coin especially since dealers will up charging 5k plus for the cvo
Well, gosh. I'm not into buying a novelty like a limited edition, I'm more into buying what I want. If I want custom paint, I'll pay to have a one of a kind. Just me. ... Bob
I was a guinea pig once for hd. Never again. Ill wait a few yrs till they get all bugs worked out.
I agree with painsrides.
The new cvo's look to much like indian imo
Wait.. unsold HD motorcycles really do go back to the factory?
I am not sure. Maybe? Ride Safe
The CVOs are great now but in +3 years there will be even better ones. But the 120th edition will be the only 120th edition and should hold more value longer. The 120th is classic style and the CVO is future style. It's all personal preference. The people I think that are more annoyed by the new CVOs is the ones that bought last year's model CVO. Might be a few traded in and a few deals on used ones.
It is crazy to me to see people trade a bike after only one year, but it happens. Ride Safe
Literally did a post on my other Social regarding this topic, yea I don't understand the strategy.
I don’t either.
Divorce for a bike not good 😂
Unless your girlfriend likes your new bike better than your old one... 😉
I love the new editions RG however, I think the price is a bit too high. I want to buy one however it will cost me too much to import to my country
That is a shame. I hope you find what you are looking for. Ride Safe
