Yeah and a few more guys close to his size. Still doesn't take away the fact that Wilt and others dominated a much smaller, less athletic group of ABA/NBA players.
By that logic you could say Anthony Davis or KD shouldn’t get that respect because they’re both 7’ tall and nobody in the league can match up against them. Makes no sense

Physiiksloco Shaq was winning rings until the 06 season, so realistically, they could’ve continued to win with Shaq as the main option. As Shaq was declining, Kobe was coming into his prime and was in it until like 2010. That’s a very realistic window of at least 6+ rings they could’ve won. Edit: I’d say 8+ rings, if Shaq stayed in peak shape.
Kobe Bryant was drafted 24 years ago. Here are the 24 records he STILL HOLDS (*since merger 1976) 1. Most All-NBA selections (tied) 2. Most All-Defense selections among guards 3. I actually like Perk's top 5 even though I wouldn't agree with it. MJ, Magic, Bird, LeBron, and Kobe are probably the 5 most POPULAR players of all-time. Nobody roots for Goliath. The centers get overlooked by casual fans.
We're all going to calm down after a few weeks. It's still going to be sad thinking about Kobe's death but we all have to move on. We did for 9-11, didn't we?
@the supermanisalive yeah Kobe was a hard worker his ethic can't be matched in terms of learning and getting better and better as a player. but in terms of just natural ability I gotta put Allen over Kobe slightly it's not by much. Cus the amount of points Allen racked up in his prime seasons and being only 6ft tall was unbelievable. like Kobe once said about Allen 'all teams and players need to say thanks everyday that Allen Iverson didn't grow to be 6ft5'. But Allen's antics outside of basketball really let him down in the long run and why he dont have the accolades of Kobe so I get you but I'm just going of pure talent even tho the accolades are important
BOONIQUE yeah Ai didn't live the life and it let him down in the long Run cus he could of done so much more but just like to party to much. And get himself into stupid situations. But natural talent wise he's one of the best I've seen just from the fact of his size and the way he was still able to boss it. That time when he did the cross over on Jordan that was like watching somebody beat up your dad or something lool
A.I was one of those humans that have the most talent in basketball but didn't work his way out to chase more rings in Philly. Tho i think he could get a ring if Shaq ain't on the Lakers.
For me Kobe is easily the most technically skilled hooper. Not the one with the most athleticism or the most stacked teams but the one who could the most with the ball. He could pull off moves even MJ could not. 🐐
@1. He was smoother with his handle. 2. Better at splitting defenses with the ball drop. (Like D Wade) 3. Better at doing the MJ moves with his left and did it more often. 4. Had a move where he'd drive with his left, spin with his right and shoot a left sided pull up. He could do it on the right too. I've only seen Kyrie do something similar. 5. Had a pump fake where he plants a foot infront of the other, uses it to pivot and reverses his whole body on that pivot to get closer to the basket. Never seen any body do this but him. He did it alot 09 playoffs. Casuals say he played like MJ. The more accurate fact is he played like second three peat MJ. That MJ also shot similar %s to Kobe (45%, 46%)
His place is #2 he is the second best basketball player ever period. Some people will argue Labron over him but this is not true. He gets disrespect. Kobe is #2
Petersburg FC I say number 1 all time as far as skills. He had to wrk extra hard due to him not being as athletic as Jordan or Lebron or other top stars. Because of that, his footwork was unmatched. Also playing soccer in Italy helped as well
@@wesleygriffin7857 You could definitely say that I wouldn't necessarily disagree. I just think skill wise for me is Jordan but Kobe is right there at the photo finish

Who cares. He is gone. Lets just reflect on his greatness and what he did for the sport. My top 5 is different than anyone else. So everyone will have him in a different spot. Couldn't even let this be for a week huh?

what is up with that stat at 4:22? Kobe and Shaq are awesome but how can they be rated 1st in that graphic? Jordan and Pippen had 6 finals and 6 Championships.

Michael Jordan doesn't only want to be remembered as the greatest shoe salesman ever. It is he who is now following Kobe Bryant on how to be the best human being he can be.
Kobe was MJ to a younger generation. But imagine if that young player got a morally supportive text from the real MJ? That's all Kobe did. Teach others what MJ taught him.
Perks bro when MJ died people talk about him for weeks exp here in germany i have no idea how it was in ths us even my parents, little sibling knew about MJ death with kobe not so not to say that its not impactful but not to the extent of MJ tho
people who played Kobe and witnessed his greatness face to face have the most legitimate opinion, and 95% of all players have made the conclusion the Kobe>bron
Lisa Rose Larry bird has stated that he would rather playing with Kobe and bron due to Kobe’s winning aspect
I've seen Kobe,MJ and Lebron play and honestly they all are great in there own right but when it comes to being the greatest of them all. MICHAEL JORDAN holds the crown in that debate.. No matter what era, or however you wanna slice it. MJ was and still is the greatest. And I've seen them all play.. So I am not delusional like some who haven't. Jordan was just UNSTOPPABLE in his prime.
6time NBA champion 6 time NBA championship mvp 1 time olympic champion
Jordan might be the greatest with Kareem, but in terms of who was the best in their prime Kobe was in another level.
04:50 The best thing I've ever heard from Rachel!
GÖ-TV true
I've never seen MJ and LeBron bond. Kobe was always their bridge between them. We need MJ to reach out to all the players. Finish what you started, Mike.
Too soon to go back to these discussions
J. ROD
Omg hush up nerd.
Why? It's just sports, it's not that serious, just basketball talk.
Lew Alcindor exactly we still talk about wilt and he’s been dead for 20 yrs about if he’s top 10 or not.
@@prezian1312 Thats why I said still too soon. Debating about his legacy when he isn't even buried yet takes away from paying respect to his demise.
J. ROD yeah I agree I’m pretty sure he can’t get buried though which makes it more sad everyone on there probably burnt with not all their body parts.
if were going solely based on skill and whos the best basketball player kobe is number one.
All I know is ESPN completely disrespected Kobe Bryant about 4 years ago. They placed Kobe #12! 🤣 I rooted against Kobe for years and I always included him in my top 10. 🤦🏻♂️
LA Clippers top 10 still not good lol
m Khan where is curry in this lineup
Stop comparing and appreciate
Agreed.
💯
By the way, Wilt played against guys like Russell and Kareem !
John Burris Nate Thurmond too (who got traded for Papa Bryant)
By the way Wilt is the most overrated player of all time
Yeah and a few more guys close to his size.
And skip bayless
2nd behind Jordan
1st in my eyes.
Bruh lebron the second best player ever no debate 🤦♂️
The two above me dont understand whats an opinion.
Keith Nicolas there’s no such things as opinions when ever stat is recorded 🤦♂️ kobe is nowhere near first
@@isthatrox4946 well Kobe is #1 in his eyes. That's his opinion. Now if you want to go numbers alone that's a whole different story
😏 People used to faint when they seen Michael Jackson.
Yeah nobody's gonna mention how he brung him up in the vid comepairing deaths aint cool at all
Michael Jackson's death definitely had a bigger impact but Kobe's situation was sadder tho seeing that multiple family were victims.
Vanessa: Give us time and privacy to grieve
ESPN: wHerE dOeS kObE rAnK aLl tImE?
Shows how they always used him for views. Disrespectful af
What does that have to do with giving the family privacy as in not talking to them?
@@lethornirving, ikr
Kendrick Perkins please don't speak for the world!! Attempting to compare how one person's death has impacted the world more than another person's death is tacky and foolish... that's your opinion not a fact. If you must speak, please speak for yourself. You are in no way, shape, form or fashion qualified to make such claims and you never will be. The bottom line is that people were impacted by each person that transitioned. May they all have eternal peace, love, and serenity, and this includes the people who have to carry on without them.
GOAT 1 - MJ
GOAT 2 - Kobe
End of list
That's the buck naked truth right there J!
@James for Safe Streets look at the opponent's now vs opponent's then. You got guards today blocking 7 footers.
@James for Safe Streets nah.. Espn is just media entity.. We all knew mj and kobe are top 2 GOATs
@Forgive me what are you talking about? That's such a dumb a way to analyse players
@James for Safe Streets forget him, both these people have really stupid ways of analysing players
NBA needs to always be a FAMILY. Not an ego-driven game on who vs who. Michael Jordan can leave this world in a better place once he's gone too. Open your heart. Love them all.
Wilt was playing against guys like skip bayless and max Kellerman😂😂😂😂😂
Savage😂😂😂😂
Jordan, Kobe, bron are the big 3 of basketball. I don’t care how you rank em. But those are the 3 goats. Not arguing about it either
Teezy Facts. Especially when you consider that the all time great bigs depend on the wings to get them the ball.
The only other non big that could be added to those 3 is Magic
Word
George Michael
Michael Jackson
Whitney Huston
Kobe Bryant
Robin Williams
And Titanic passengers
are the deaths that will forever and always make me cry
Lmao at " Top 10 " Anyone remember KB as a rookie vs MJ? KB was dope! As a ROOKIE!!!
I think Kobe is so loved and revered because we saw him grow up from a brash young kid, to a misguided young adult, to a dedicated man with pinpoint focus, and lastly to a loving father who sought to give back to humanity.
My top 10:
1. Michael Jordan
2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
3. Kobe
Bryant
4. Tim Duncan
5. Shaquille O'Neal
6. LeBron James
7. Earvin "Magic"Johnson
8. Larry Bird
9. Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon
10. Wilt Chamberlain
m Khan everyone’s opinion is different. In my opinion, Kobe top 10 NO DOUBT.
He said Bron over Kobe I'm done
Jared Simmons He's right though
He said no particular order
@@LeJoyBoy23 you're delusional. Kobe is way better LeBron especially mentally where it counts.
@J w Yeah and if Kobe played with AD, Kyre, Love, Wade, and Bosh he would have more rings.
Jay no he is not
Kobe Bryant better than lebron by far
Imagine Kobe team up with spurs or warriors after his 5th championship that would've been easy 3 or 4 more chips
Top 3 for me and if him and Shaq stayed together he could’ve had 8 rings
@ look at the hate ........kareem wasnt a better laker than Kobe lol it diwn to magic an Kobe.....thats why most former players got Kobe in they top5 ....educate yourself
M. Hucks I believe they would of won 5 rings since Shaq was also getting older
Edit:
I’d say 8+ rings, if Shaq stayed in peak shape.
Mikey C23 yo and you top 1 UA-cam warrior🖕🏽
John Barnett yeah stayed in shape but he was older getting old I say 5 or 6 rings.
Kobe Bryant was drafted 24 years ago. Here are the 24 records he STILL HOLDS (*since merger 1976)
1. Most All-NBA selections (tied)
2. Most All-Defense selections among guards
3. Highest scoring NBA game*
4. Highest scoring half*
5. Most points scored in 3 quarters*
6. Most game-winners in a season
7. All-time leader in game winners made
8. Highest scoring final career game
9. Oldest player to score 60 points
10. Most consecutive 40+ point games (tied)
11. Most consecutive 50+ point games*
12. Most Christmas Day points scored
13. Most 60+ point games in the NBA*
14. Most points scored in a single arena
15. Most pts scored as an opponent in a game at MSG

20. Youngest Slam Dunk Contest winner
21. NBA All-Star steals all-time leader
22. Most offensive rebounds in an All-Star Game
23. Most NBA All-Star Game starts (tied)
24. All-time leader in FTM among guards
PG 13PACERNATION why do all those stats exist. Lol
I actually like Perk's top 5 even though I wouldn't agree with it. MJ, Magic, Bird, LeBron, and Kobe are probably the 5 most POPULAR players of all-time. Nobody roots for Goliath. The centers get overlooked by casual fans.
He said wilt chamberlain was playin against max kellerman I’d pay to see dat
We're all going to calm down after a few weeks. It's still going to be sad thinking about Kobe's death but we all have to move on. We did for 9-11, didn't we?
Top 5 id say:
Micheal Jordan
Allen iverson
Kobe Bryant
Magic Johnston
Lebron James
I'll agree if Iverson had the work ethic of kobe... but since he didn't really finish what he started I can't put ai over kobe.
Allen Iverson didn't practice.
(Like D Wade)
Kobe is #2
no
Respect Due to Paul for actually keeping it real.
Unlike the rest of these people.
#2 SG all time top 5 all around. possibly top 3 skill wise
Paul Pierce - "How much better can Shaq get?"
Kobe - You're welcome.
May the God justice to kobe and Gianna ......amen
Top 10 All-time. 2nd Best Shooting Guard All-time. Where he ranks in the Top10 (I don't know)
@m Khan That's my list. It's ask subjective at the end of the day
@m Khan
Total accolades (MVPs, FMVPs, Chips, All star MVPs, All star selections, Stat leaders, DPOY, ROY, All NBA, All Defense)
1.MJ-69
2.Kareem-67
3.Kobe-59
4.Duncan-57
5.Wilt-53
6.Lebron-51
7.Russell-45
8.Magic-41
9.Shaq-39
10.Bird-35
Really
m Khan You do know Percentage lowers as attempts increase. He is better than Shaq, because shaq was only prime for 3-5 years. Kobe had 10 years of prime. He also won more chips. Kobe would also be ahead of Duncan Shaq
MJ then Kobe you can put whomever you like behind them.
The funeral didnt even happen yet.. this conversation could wait. He's my GOAT tho
Before Kobe Bryant retired from the NBA but later died this year from the helicopter tragedy, he said that he wouldn't wanna become the next Michael Jordan but himself.
Who cares. He is gone. Lets just reflect on his greatness and what he did for the sport. My top 5 is different than anyone else. So everyone will have him in a different spot. Couldn't even let this be for a week huh?
Agreed, rather than mourning his death why not celebrate his life.
@TheRealist 811 by saying who better Kobe or MJ, Kobe or Bron...I was saying simply stop the comparisons and love what we got while we have it cause at any moment it can be snatched away.
@TheRealist 811 yeah..but Kobe gone. The debate was MJ vs Bron...now that Kobe is gone its "Kobe Vs (insert name".
Shaq could've got better by hitting more free throws lol
In no particular order. Top 5 NBA Players🏀
Kobe, Jordan, Kareem, Magic, LeBron
Kareem, Russell,Jordan,magic,and Lebron
Your top 5 is accurate.
Mj , bird , kobe, and d rose are my top 5 greatest of all time with curry with da edge imo
D rose is that man
@2:39 First I’ve ever seen Perk laugh or smile 😂. Lowkey Perk hilarious. Paul still a little salty too 😂
Kobe Top 2 All Time
In all time lists, Shaq gets the short end of the stick. NO ONE dominated like Diesel in his prime, NOBODY.
Wilt!
what is up with that stat at 4:22? Kobe and Shaq are awesome but how can they be rated 1st in that graphic? Jordan and Pippen had 6 finals and 6 Championships.
Oh man I miss that dude he’s my favorite player
Top 5. Number 2 for me.
Sorry not even close hes number 10 or 11
In this lifetime, we all have to think about that next generation. Not criticizing them. But embracing. Teaching them. That's what Kobe said. That's how we can all live forever.
Jerry West = GOAT NBA contributer
LAL: 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
GS: 🏆🏆🏆
Don't change the logo. Got it right the first time.
I think Steph and Durant were more dominant
If Kobe dies, it's almost like they added 4 more MVPs and Finals MVPs. He's still where he is to me before Sunday. About top 8 or 9.
LA Clippers Facts
Its kinda creepy to see all the celebrities make a mockery of Kobe Bryant SO sad!!!! Kendrick Perkins clearly sending a message got his phone on Kobe's jersey numbers
People put Lebron too high on the greatest of all time list. He's had to many playoff failures in his career. If you want to base it off of statistics why isn't Karl Malone mentioned in the conversation.
Because Bron also have some rings along with those playoff appearances whereas karl........
@@lullabysanton2241
I get your point but Lebron has less championships than Jabbar, Duncan, Jordan, and even Rodman. He needs to win a couple more championships before we start talking about GOAT.
Top 5 I'd say
1. Micheal Jordon
2. Magic Johnson
3. Kareem Abdul Jabbar
4. Kobe Bryant
5. LeBron James
Surprised he put bird in his top 5 but I absolutely agree people forget how good bird was
What about the other people who died in the crash hes not the only one
2:20 lmfaooo 🤣🤣🤣💀💀
So true Kobe's death is mo ipactful than Micheal Jackson. The world is just soo hurt
Kobe's death had more impact than Michael Jackson? Another stupid comment from Kendrick Perkins.
Outsider & Arianator i think it is a totally justifiable comment. For most people I know, it certainly did
Outsider & Arianator it definitely affected me more
I'm just saying. Greater than Michael Jackson's impact on the world. Maybe too far of a reach. on the world!!!!
1. Jordan
2. Kareem
3. Lebron
4. Kobe
5. Magic
6. Russell
7. Duncan
8. Shaq
9. Wilt
10. Bird
Russell not 6 Hakeem 10x better
Vincent A 11>2
Kalyan Kamal nah b
Bird 5 magic 6 duncan 10
Kalyan Kamal Better scorer but Lebron is a better all around player
please do not compare kobe and michael jackson....they had their own places ok? you can relate in life, but never compare when it comes down to the core of the person.
