I do believe that those incidents of harassment really happens in the B/Immigration, because my son experienced the same fate in one of the Immigration
Officers in NAIA, Terminal 2 more than a year ago, who asked unnecessary documents. But when my son complied to all the documents being asked, he (Immig. Off.) did not even bother to look at it & just let him go. Can you imagine the trauma that it might bring to any passenger who were victims? That kind of employe should be subject for investigation & outright dismissal, if found guilty! Disgusting! 😡

Bringing a College Diploma or any School Achievement document is a red flag in Canadian border if you are a tourist. Because they will question why you are bringing this type of document if you are just a tourist. For them, it seems you have other plans than just being a tourist. I know because I've seen that in a Canadian security border show where a Filipina was denied entry because she has School and Work documents with her even if she will just be a tourist.

But the difficulty here is, it's the immigration officer's word against the passenger's. Passengers should be allowed to record/video the interview so that we have solid evidence in case the immigration officer is not following their procedure. Especially since the BI will not compensate the offloaded passenger unless their investigation reveals that there is indeed violation of their procedures by the immigration officer. Passengers should have a fighting chance to prove our cause, because this is serious, there is money involved and not all of us can afford to just rebook our tickets. BI should think about this. Are they not travelers themselves? Maybe they dont experience this kasi kapag sila nagtravel papalagpasin lang nila kasamahan nila. They seem to have no consideration, no empathy for the plight of passengers.

So many Filipinos being silent about how immigration in the Philippines treat the Filipino people, asking stupid questions is not part of traveling as long as you have valid documents and return ticket. Seperate process: The government should propose to eliminate a long check at the airport and bring a pre-check or pre-adjudicate to the traveler (only for traveler have plenty of necessary checking or high risk) before the travel date and in a different place. This will eliminate a long line and miss the travelers' flight. Once the traveler had the pre-check interview before the flight date, the immigration should enter the information at their system and a stamp at the traveler's passport that they had been check and no other necessary check except verifying the traveler's identity.

Why didn't ANC interview the immigration officer to know his side of the story, not the spokes person? Is the Phil. Immigration hiding the truth? Is the immigration protecting their interview officer? That officer should be charged for passenger harassment for asking inappropriate and irrelevant questions that led to missing the passengers flight. He should also pay the passenger for missing the flight. Philippine airport is notorious in crime. First was the inserting dollar bill inside the passport as bribe, then the "planting bullet in the baggage" of travellers/passenger. Now the tediously harassing questions.

    .
