My Grandafather was the Staff Sergent in No4 COmmando on DDay and Lovats chief of signals, ended the war as the Sgt Major. The uniform is pretty spot on for the most part, but its missing some things. They basially never wore the helmet unless Artillery was incoming. Also that haircut would NEVER be allowed. They had to have their head shaved up to the rim of the beret, so basically a high and tight undercut. The SGt would have been issued an SMG, most likely a Thompson M1928, later on a STEN. Though my grandfather always swapped his for a Privates when he could, so SMGs would have been nice options. Gaiters are way too small.
