Why this has no likes
I’m actually pretty good at doing higher notes but when it comes to low notes I earthier start whispering, my voice cracks, or my voice gets extremely bumpy.
Same, my voice always changes, sometimes it can hit the high note but not with the low, and sometimes it can get the low note but not with the high
Same but turn it around lol
True for example when you sing at my worst song at this part "oooh dont, dont you worry" urghh
Same, my voice is just naturally higher/quieter,
@@fyhbillyeonnie This is the most relatable comment I’ve seen in my life😭
I sing male rock songs a lot so this definitely helps 😂
i genuinely can’t go low at all and its really hard
Same lol
@Alexa Marquez definitely not haha, by rock i mean metalcore
illegal rose quartz it is easier for altos since our range goes downwards. That just means you are a soprano! That means you would slay high notes🤍
Sameeeee 80s 70s bands rule 🤘🏻
As a woman with a lower range I appreciate this so much! I’ve always admired singers with lower registers, like Toni Braxton and Layla Hathaway. As I’ve gotten older, my voice has gotten deeper. I currently sing tenor in my church choir and this will definitely help me with some songs that I thought were “too low” for me to sing!
Hey what kind of songs do u sing??
My glass breaking high pitched squeaky voice needed this
My comfort range is the lower register!
I can sing high, I'm a mezzo but my comfort is the lower range
Then why are you here
I’m comfortable with high
I am a mezzo but always sang soprano. I am now training my lower register
same!
Same here!
low notes are so underrated.
singers now a days focuses on hitting high notes but low notes is really amazing for women...
anyways MORISSETTE AMON’s Lower note is A2
Agreed. I love Alto notes...and I sing Bass in a 4 part harmony choir
Mariah carey can go low to F2 for a a rlly high soprano sm that is rlly impressive
xo Rock yup, that’s one of our Queen Mariah’s trademarks
Billie Eillish.
I have always loved low notes
exercises start @2:20
exercises continue @7:20
Omg thank you
As a female tenor this is super helpful to help expand my range further into the tenor area to make my director proud!
This was extremely helpful. I am an alto myself and when I was studying this was never really talked about. It was always about expanding the range upwards, not downwards. Luckily I have a great coach now that understands this, but since my lower range has been neglegted for so long I still struggle with it. I’ll definitely try this. I can get to Bb2 on a good day, but I know there’s more below that. I just need the key to unlock it. So thanks for this ladies! :)
After A2 I struggle a bit. I'm only 19 so I hope age will help solidify them lol. Some mornings I can get a small F2. One time I got an Eb2 and was able to record it.
@@XxQueenChristinaxX
Eb2 is insane.
@@CrUde1152 I wish I could sing Eb2-F#2 whenever I wanted. They only show up when my folds are very relaxed or after a good sleep.
An exceptional contralto can easily upstage a soprano!
Chris Sparks 史 瑞 德 she’s actually a mezzo, not an alto lol
I agree. Just because she can hit low notes doesn't mean that she is an alto. She doesn't have the vocal colouring of an alto. At all. She is a mezzo soprano.
Though the word we're looking for is a contralto. Alto is not a voice classification, it is a part in a choir.
Rosannasfriend I agree! Are you a voice teacher?
Rosannasfriend I know. But people mostly know it as alto. Contralto is the right word.
This video didn't help only women! As a man, my voice is very high, even speaking, and singing low notes is a real challenge. These tips will help for sure! Thanks :)
I can’t wait to try this, my lower range varies SO much from day to day, so hopefully I’ll get some more control
Hi, so I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and learning a lot about music and discovering things about my own voice. I personally (as a female) sing mostly alto/tenor, though I can still hit some soprano notes, and I found this video extremely helpful 😁 I always feel bad about my voice because I can’t belt high notes like more popular singers and I totally agree that low females are completely underrated. Thank you for this
Hi Tara! I wanted to say thank you for pointing out the strengths of an Alto voice. I am an Alto, but have *blush* always wanted to be like an opera soprano. I've always felt not good enough. But wow! Thank you for showing us how beautiful alto voices are!
Kat has a beautiful rich voice.
I can't remember my range but I used to sing tenor and baritone when the guys were lacking in numbers. Love low voices!
I do that in my church choir lol
I sing Alto
I'm a dude and this helped a lot! I always sang lower notes with the double chin, and losing it made the sound much clearer. Thanks!
My throat hurts trying to hit the low note also I get a voice crack
edit: thx for being kind and I am getting a bit better also I have Smule so you can hear I don’t do good on low tones username: Midnight12109
It's okay just keep practicing!
*•.Lonely Midnight.•* I always get a voice crack when I try to do a low note
That’s alright relax , don’t push it
Same it cracks and squeaks and feels and sounds strainy and the sound don’t come out properly
Deaglan Quesnay thx
can you please cover head voice (females) and how to develop a richer, more operatic tone rather than a thin airy one
Sophie Jones i agree
Same I’m super shy and I kinda have to do a chest voice to do low notes but it’s powder than my head voice so I just have to do parts of a song that doesn’t have it
Me too my low range is almost silent😭
I love this video omg ❤❤❤ can I request a video that breaks down that vocal growl or cry. Cos I've been having trouble attempting it.
As a bass I found this very helpful. I was able to push out a Bb1 when normally I struggle with Db
this is amazing! I am a mezzo soprano and I have an audition next week, but there are a few parts in the cut that are just at my "break" in my lower range and this literally solved it! Very impressive teaching!
I can reach a low note during singing but when a song starts with one (stone cold) I can't get it right🙄
Same
Have the same problem. What I do is making my mouth and throat ready for a low O Sound no matter what the vocal next is. Just don't Form your lips, Only your throat
Double M omggg what a coincidence I came to this video because of stone cold and you commented about it! I 100% relate to what you're saying 😂
These are all helping me a lot! Thank you! 😃📢
I improved instantly! Amazing! Thank you so much for this
I really struggle with low notes so this was super helpful, thank you x
thanking you for creating this video I am a mezzo-soprano and I needed this for my students as well
I'm such a fan of layers. Like choirs. Quaerets harmonies. Just in general. I love basses and Altos. Would an Alto it leads adds full time notes that have that heavier presence. In the church world. Older music has so much of this in southern gospel genres. I love Nancy Harmon just her vocal presence. Basses as lead or baritones. High notes play well but it's so over played this narrative that high airy sounds are the best. I have a high middle range for a guy. I like to go low as possible. It's just easier with my voice signature I guess. To hit high than go low. I can go low. It doesn't have the same presence. Tone and texture is more muted. As in comparison. To at mix voice to some what chest or whatever you call that transition. To highest part for a man between to where the falsetto gets played. I still have presence there not as sure more than when I go low. Interesting. I think I get few month out of the year I really don't have this problem my voice is liberated but the seasons and such brings strain. Inflammation and all that spoke to much ending here lol.
Hi Tara. You rock! Thank you for showing us how to rock a song. Everyone has a song in their heart but not everyone knows how to sing it. Thank you for showing me how. God bless you. ❤🔥
This video is gold. Thank you!
Thank you! This is fab! ❤️
This is really really good! Thank you!
Thank you for these great videos! Hope you can do more warm up videos that covers wide ranges! Thank you
Thank youuuu 💙🤗
Love it. Its what i was looking for
This definitely helps. Thank you so much.
I’ve sang for years and much to my annoyance have only ever squeaked out an A3, and this just took me to a rich F3 in the duration of this video. Thank you!
Fabulous technique, very well taught.
thank u so much this was sooooooo helpful!!😇
Hello Tara.
I am Brazilian, in the interior of the country.
Here, I have a vocal trio and a choir that I work with and you have no idea how much your videos and tips help me on how to make them understand the meaning and importance of the gestures, the mantras, the face, everything. That singing is not just opening your mouth, but a set of actions and thoughts.
I even subtitled their videos for them to watch and helping us a lot.
Thank you very much for sharing this knowledge with us.
Hugs from Brazil
You guys are so beautiful and talented!!
This was very helpful💕✨ Thank you so much😊
As a male singer, I am a High Tenor/Countertenor and I have always had problems with low notes. I can reach an A2 but my voice doesn't allow me to sing the low notes very strongly. I usually bottom out between F3 and D3 while singing. I also have a high and soft speaking voice for a male.
i love your videos!!! if i could afford lessons then i would definitely have cat as my coach bc she is a worship leader and i want to be a worship leader! this tutorial has already helped so much! i got to an d sharp! that is the lowest i’ve ever sung!!! ❤️❤️
4:02
I was stuck on a d3 and just my watching this video my range went down to a barely b2. This helped very much to make me feel confident in my lower singing range!
Yay! I’m so glad this helped!
This actually helped a ton
Thank UUU my darling Tara :D
I can't believe this worked right away 🥺😭💕
This has really helped me!
Wow the low notes sounded amazing. Xx 💖
I've always love warm low textured tones.
Awesome 😍💯
you helped me a lot, thank you so much for doing this!xox
Very good lesson on lie notes !! Thank you ! 🙏🎤💕
I took Notes and Love the Tips you Offered.....'Higher, Lighter, Brighter'....xoxo
Super helpful!!
C3 is actually still comfortable for me even though im a female. The challenge begins with G2
That's where I have to go down to subharmonics/growls. You've got a REALLY low range and I'm hella jealous
yeah G2
Same, but A2 can be hard for me 🥴
there is no G2 for me and I'm a male ..
Omg this was great! My lowest note was a G3 or an F3 but I went all the way down to D3!
Very helpful for me and now, I can help the female Altos/ tenors on the choir.
Hi, Nice trick with smiling. Thank you! Love and Health from Poland!!
That’s so cool!!! As she could do I it I could too thats awesome!! I have expanded my tone a bit because I sing a bunch of Disney songs and they are kinda low sometimes but I would love to expand it more :)
Please give a tutorial in changing registers !!!! Loved this video thank you for the help I’m a worship leader
C#3 - thanks 👍😎. That's my bottom.
I absolutely love your tutorials. Sometimes, just the tiniest adjustment can open another fun exploration.
Excellent tips. Withyour help I can now perform a few Patsy Cline songs. Thank you ladies!
I found this VERY useful!
Alto love ❤️🥰
I struggle to make my "talk singing" voice sound powerful and pretty. I just started taking singing more seriously and ive unlocked more power and my mix and a stronger head voice, but I struggle in my chest voice and not losing my voice/air.
Really helpful! :)
Hi! Could you make a video teaching how to change from the normal voice to the falsetto voice and the other way around. I always fail with this
So helpful
Hey Tara! I don't know if you've reacted to spanish singers before or at least plan to in the future but I highly recommend Natalia Jimenez, one of the best and most respected vocalists in the latin world and one of the few left that actually SANG and make heartfelt music. You can check "Recuérdame" which features Marc Anthony live at Premios Tu Mundo and is from the early days of her career when she was in a band called La Quinta Estación, Creo En Mi" live at Premios Tu Mundo, "Tú Y Yo" live at La Voz Kids, "Que Te Quería" (from when she was in La Quinta Estación too) or "Por Ser Tu Mujer" live at Premios Tu Mundo.
+tarasimonstudio *Thanks for explaining the problems encountered, lowering the floor.* As the jack-of-all-parts at OMS Japanese Christian Church (Walnut Creek, CA, USA), I occasionally have to substitute for a natural basso in Choir. With a change of personnel in Worship Music, having been reassigned from bass guitar to percussion, I've reconfigured the YAMAHA® RY2T4 for the intimate environment of Shinoda Hall (ø10" rack, ø12" and ø14" suspended floors), jacked up the stool to unload my diaphragm for backing vocals on selected Songs, and tilted the MSD14AF center drum for a clear field of movement for traditional grip - I normally sing 4th Vocal on hymns in addition to backing parts on selected Contemporary works.
I’m a male but pointing my finger and moving up helped me with sound. So thank you.
Your video was really helpful! I was able to go down from E2 to C2 and extended my subharmonic range to G1!
Yaay! That’s awesome!
I’m one of the first female tenors at my school! My current range is a C3 to an F5/G5 comfortably but I’m trying to grow it further to eventually sing all four voice parts one day :D
Really helpful! Trying to hit a low C3 for a solo (I probably won’t get it, but I do sing (higher staff) baritone in a choir, so this is helpful!
thank you, it is helpful :)
Thank you :)
Cool!
I enjoy watching your mini sessions! I was singing along but I am no alto
This was really helpful! I'd love to know how to form vowels down that low. How to transfer this down to some tricky words. I'm gonna try it out!
Subscribed !
That's a sick dress, Tara!
I cant get the first bit of “jar of hearts” quite right and I’ve got a competition coming up, thanks so much!
im learning so much!!
I'm so glad! That's why I make these videos!!
POV: you came to try to sing like felix stray kids gods menu
Stay 💜💜
cooking like a chef i’m a five star michelin
Weeee I love my low notes so this will be great for a better tone. :D
I have to sing a song at church that's kinda low in the verse and I was having trouble but this video def helped!
Yay! I’m so glad it helped!
I sing for church and was working on this today in practice. I think i can sing better without music just to the radio than looking at music. It must psych me out. This goes for high and low notes
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SO AMAZING! My vocal range immediately increased more than 5 semitone. HOW MAGICAL!
Wow! Incredible! I’m so glad it helped!
Thank youuuuuu:)
I'm a soprano and the first note of my audition is at the bottom of my range so I start to get gravelly so this really helps!!
A sophmore in chorus abt to do a very low register song for a lil talent show, and this is definitely helping
thank u, I'm not a woman but I was rly struggling and this made better instantly
i'm a female tenor so thank you for this!!
Thank you... I occasionally need the A2, but I do not always handle it...this will help, I know...
Thanks
Can you do one for male going low and high I have noticed it’s easier for me to get high but when going lower I noticed it does have as much volume before when I first started it wasn’t like that but then I focus so much on higher tones lol
My lowest is E3 I just can’t go any lower it ends up just sounding croaky.
Rosie same girl
Susannah S it’s a real struggle haha
Would you happen to know your speaking voice frequency is?and also what your Top chest note is?
My lowest is C4 and my highest is C5. 😢
@@nyx6042 what 👀
Thank you so much. This works a treat! I hit that C#, second time around and it sounded really pretty. I'm a devil for tracing the pitch with my chin (lifting for high notes, dropping for low ones) so I need to keep this in mind.
