Imagine being Saizo getting trapped in that room. Poor guy probably spent those turns making his peace with a slow and painful death by dehydration alone in a cold dark cave.
They really should've given the characters at least some sensible weapon ranks for promotion and secondary classes. Odin should have, like, C rank swords, or at least D rank; Shura should have some shuriken ranks; etc.
You mentioned Inspiring Song can't increase Mozu's proc chance, but what of she started a turn as someone's backpack, got dropped by them, and then Azura sang to her? She wouldn't have taken an action that turn and the inspiring song luck bonus would improve her odds of grabbing a gold bar, no?
The plot on this map is fun. Kaze: How dare a ninja attack from the shadows!? Corrin: Did you imprison someone we have not met and will kill in a couple chapters? Kotoro: I needed to lie about the imprisonment thing, lucky for me Garron will not care if all his kids get wiped.

A Princess Bride fan too?! A man after my own heart! Another masterful clear! You truly display the beauty of the mechanics Fates has to offer! There's a question I've been wanting to ask, and this chapter happens to be the perfect opportunity for it: When do you think it's worthwhile to buy skill and/or luck tonics to improve the reliability of a clear? Obviously the answer is rather subjective, but I'm curious as to your perspective. Anyways, this was a wonderful video, and I'm always looking forward to the next one!
I feel bad for Shura, the main issue he faces in my opinion is that fighter really doesn't make him any favors. Yes, It has Sol but he isn't the bulkiest and doesn't have access to damage stack until Shuriken Faire and everyone has that. If Shura had something else like Archer, Mercenary or anything that could complement his first 2 classes he would be a lot better. But as It is, he really just exist in 0% growths and nowhere else and that makes me sad.
I could not get past this chapter on my Lunatic attempt and sadly, the 3DS that had Fates had its battery expand to the point of breaking the system. So, seeing you rip ninja hell into shreds is such an endorphin rush.
“Since Corrin is no longer female” Not only does my man Zoran shows an excellent clear full of game knowledge and explanations of strategies (short & long term), he also respects the transmasc swagger of M!Corrin. Here, King, for you 👑
Hello Zoran, thanks for the video, this one hour and a half passed like a capped SPD Kaze, every turn was fun to watch. But there is one question to you: are you happy with what they are showing for Engage? Because the game really looks like a "Fateslandia 2", along with the obvious aesthetics similarities, the gameplay will be very player phased. We manage and combine the current resources available to us(with the emblem rings and stat modifiers), the enemies look strong, weapons don't break, the staves look identical (Freeze is back baby!), debuffs exist, there isn't big monastery and Lilith is back! Of course, there is a chance that, in practice, the "correct way"to play the game will be 100% different. But I hope this is not true, the chances favoritize Fates too much to be a lie.
If I recall correctly, your previous video on this chapter was the first one from a file doing a challenge like this. Feels good to see it as part of a full LP now!
Camilla is so brutally powerful. Up there with the likes of Seth, Titania and Robin imo, just breaks the game in half out of the box and only gets better the more you use her
I think she’s a much happier medium of “busted but not invalidating” kind of way as opposed to Seth, though. CQ is balanced in a way where even heavy use of Camilla still leaves a lot of room for other units to shine in some way.
She and Xander are these kind of characters done right, they can carry you in the midgame and early game(Camilla) but if you rely only on them you will not be able to finish the game unlike these that you mentioned which maybe except for Titania can solo their own games
@@sohn7767 Xander does need at least two Seals and a few stat boosters in order to reach his full game-breaking potential, though. That’s arguably more investment than a lot of units rated lower than him on most tier lists. Not to mention he doesn’t join until halfway through the game so in my eyes he’s more similar to FE10 Titania than FE9 Titania.
@@cartooncritic7045 he only needs all that speed support for funny juggernaut orkoing, which to be fair is overrated and unnecessary if you are willing to simply wait one or 2 extra turns. Xander does well even without sealing, but sealing alone just make him invalidate maps. And in terms of effort, his innate wyvern takes non at all and if you like most players just use backpack hero is almost a non brainer too. His joining time is late indeed, but that he’s still available for more than half the game where most of the difficulty is. This is not about if Xander is good, it’s more about _how_ he is good. Get it? If he lets you not play the game by design then that’s bad in my eyes
While I like a lot of the upscaled images and the main characters generally look good, a lot of the villagers have had their eyes ruined by the upscale, and this is iirc the first case of this with a boss character. Kotaro's left eye in his default face looks like the iris is melding into a weird mesh of eyelashes below and his angry face makes it look like he has pink eye, or I guess brown eye in this case.
Something to note for others, though obviously not applicable to this run: If you keep Saizo alive, he has a pretty good chance to hand the Kotaro kill to you on a silver platter. Just remove the caltrops around him, shelter/dance out, then let Saizo initiate. He can survive two hits from Kotaro, doesn't get doubled, and will hit him with Poison Strike, Pyrotechnics, and (if he hits) debuffs that leave Kotaro one hit away from death. In fact, some of my runs of conquest I had utilized Nix like adventurer and her hits rates were afwul less than 50% even with triangule advantage. But for some reason she always hit in of all them in this specific map. I do not know if I was lucky with her but I will never doubt about her again,
You said that the reliability of the hitrates was a big challenge for you on this map. I know a UA-camr named Bad At Life who has some strats which make this chapter 100% reliable, maybe get in contact with him?
While it is geat that Kotaro pays for his crimes, I don't understand in any logical way why Corrin decides to murder his own ally to help his enemy just because that's "the good thing to do" I know it's fates but still...
Because corrin isn't truly tied to nohr. They're just with the kingdom as a means to stop the war, as the dialogue at the start of conquest suggests. Therefore, corrin mostly makes decisions with their own morals in mind (times when Garon/hans is watching notwithstanding)
Does checking the growths progress of characters factor in on the decision to promote early? It seems I have placed too much importance on maxing levels to 20 before promote and I now see more of the benefits gained by early promotion... Love the RPG element you employ amidst the master tactics🥰
Kind of but not really. This run is a lot less reactive to my growth luck than you might think. I’ve been working ahead using a file that has fixed growths, and for the most part what I’m doing when I prepare to record is making sure that my actual stats align with the average stats as closely as I can, allowing me to replicate largely the same tactics. Occasionally there’s a significant difference caused by small variations in stat gains (see part 23), but usually I have enough tools available to compensate
There is something I don't understand. When facing the 2 Samurai and the Swordmaster by the entrance of Kogha's hideout, my damage benchmarks are the same as yours, almost to a tie with some growths and other stuff I made it happen with, still, the first samurai goes for Keaton but instead of the second samurai going right after, the darn Swordmaster gets in the way lunging Selena right in front of Keaton so he can't get that kill. What did I do wrong? I hate the rng of this map. I've come to this point countless times and happens the same every time. I've tried weakening Laslow a bit with a Bronze Sword instead of a +1, but the result is the same. I don't get it.
hey zoran, buddy, friend, pal, amigo, my little homie. listen, i notice you have multiple mods installed to your game, you should do a tutorial on how to mod fire emblem: fates on citra, that would be to awesome and yes! the fans would love it!!!
I would love to help people install mods, but I really don't think a video is a great format for that, especially given that Paragon is under active development and the rewritten version currently doesn't have all the importation/merging features the old one had. Beyond Moonling's basic tutorial at gamebanana.com/tuts/13215, I think the main issues are working with multiple code patches or multiple mods that touch the same parts of the ROM (which is particularly common with GameData.bin.lz). For the former, you can merge different code.ips files from different mods using a tool such as this one: gbatemp.net/threads/release-ips-merger-tool.471090/. If your mods don't affect the same parts of the code, then they probably shouldn't cause problems for each other when merged. Be careful to use code patches for your specific version of Fates, though. For the latter, say you have Mod A and Mod B, and Mod B came with an exported JSON file from Paragon to help you merge it with other mods. You could create a project for Fates in Paragon and move the Mod A files into that project's folder; open that project in the old Paragon and import the JSON from Mod B; and then save the result. Your files in the project folder would then be updated with the edits from Mod B added on top of whatever changes Mod A had (overriding Mod A where applicable). If more than one of your mods lacks a JSON export file, and there are conflicts with files from other mods, you're basically out of luck. The only way to reconcile them would be to transfer all the changes manually in Paragon.
This video is more than half as long as Scepti's entire Maid Camilla run

You said that the reliability of the hitrates was a big challenge for you on this map. I know a UA-camr named Bad At Life who has some strats which make this chapter 100% reliable, maybe get in contact with him?
I think it's challenge for him in this run. In other runs where he doesn't need to train everyone, he'd probably have no problems.
Nice Princess Bride reference by the end
While it is geat that Kotaro pays for his crimes, I don't understand in any logical way why Corrin decides to murder his own ally to help his enemy just because that's "the good thing to do"
I know it's fates but still...
Because corrin isn't truly tied to nohr. They're just with the kingdom as a means to stop the war, as the dialogue at the start of conquest suggests. Therefore, corrin mostly makes decisions with their own morals in mind (times when Garon/hans is watching notwithstanding)
I can only dream of a Fates Remaster where i can truly side with Nohr and crush the Hoshidans. That is my dream.
@@gabrielbitencourt1879 wait no, make a real rebellion this time xD
does fighting together while pair up gives as much support points as fighting together dual strike? also how many support points it gives?
So proud of Corrin's transition! Trans pride slayy
hey zoran, buddy, friend, pal, amigo, my little homie. listen, i notice you have multiple mods installed to your game, you should do a tutorial on how to mod fire emblem: fates on citra, that would be to awesome and yes! the fans would love it!!!
Is that Shura vs Kotaro conversation vanilla or a GGG addition?
That’s vanilla
@@Zoran501 Wow, I didn't think they'd actually put that in. I think Revelation dumbed down my expectations
