- Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode our host, Ally Yost, reads the Word of God in the book of Proverbs. We started to read Proverbs in episode two of season four, "We Have The Key To Life" and we are continuing to read through it starting in Proverbs 25. As followers of Jesus, we are called to treat everyone with unconventional compassion and love and the Lord blesses us when we do so.
"If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink. You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the Lord will reward you." Proverbs 25:21-23

Wow! This episode was so timely and encouraging! As a Psychiatric Nurse who works with difficult people all the time between working with coworkers and taking care of patients, it’s not easy to continue to show kindness and compassion but the Lord has really grown me in this area of loving people the way He loves them & not repaying evil with evil. But instead, showing them the love of Christ through my words and deeds 🙏🏼💕 Like you said Ally, everyone needs Jesus & without Him, we are angry, depressed, broken, and lost. We were all once that person, so far away from Him, but praise God for never leaving us and instead pursuing us! 🥹🫶🏼 Let us share that love and compassion with others. It was His kindness that led us to repentance! ❤️
I just want to thank you for doing what you do because your job is so important and is often under valued. There are a few of people in my life who have been to a psychiatric hospital. I remember going to visit one of my friends in the hospital and one of the patients got violent and it was very disturbing to witness. The staff definitely seemed overworked and tired yet they did their best to make sure that they kept the patient calm by treating the patient as a human being instead of an animal. Something I noticed was how misunderstood the patients seemed to be. On the outside looking in, it can seem as if the patients in the psych ward are "wild" but what the Lord showed me when I was visiting my friend was how human and fragile people can be in dire times and that it could happen to anyone. Thank you for continuing to care for your patients, the world needs more people like you:)
@@DanielM-w1n Thank you brother ! I am so encouraged by your comment, thank you for sharing that with me :) That part when you said it could happen to anyone is SO true. Prior to becoming a Psych Nurse, I had no experience dealing with mental health. I actually remember during my nursing program, saying, "I could never be a psych nurse." But it's funny how God works and His plans always prevail! I have learned so much over the past 3 months as a nurse - I've had opportunities to SHARE the hope & Truth of the Gospel to these lost souls. I've had prayed WITH patients who have a RELATIONSHIP w/ the Lord. I've been able to give out Bibles & devotionals! It's been AMAZING to see God move in these places and literally feeling the tangible LOVE of God for every single person!!! God is SO good! Have a blessed day/weekend. I'm off to work now!

PROVERBS 27:22 !!!! It actually just means Biblical wisdom starts with a proper understanding of God. When a person is spiritually foolish, it might take harsh consequences to open their minds (proverbs 26:3). For others, no amount of disaster brings them around. Solomon’s comparison to crushed grain implies that folly is found in the tiniest parts of the fool. It’s so ingrained that it cannot be removed. Hope this helps !!!!
