  • "Stumblin' In" is a song written by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn, performed by Chris Norman and Suzi Quatro. Originally released as a standalone single, it was later added to some editions of the Quatro album If You Knew Suzi..
The single peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979. The song was Quatro's only US Top 40 hit and Norman's lone US charting effort apart from the band Smokie. In the UK Singles Chart, where the song was also Norman's only chart hit as a solo artist, the disc hit the listing on 11 November 1978 and peaked at number 41 with eight weeks in the chart. It reached #11 on the Canada RPM Chart, but went to #1 on the Canada Adult Contemporary Chart. It was Norman's first single as a solo artist.

Chris Norman was the lead singer in Smokie who had a string of hits themselves.

As noted earlier, Suzi was on "Happy Days". She played Pinky Tuscadero's younger sister Leather. Chris Norman & his group Smokie did a great song I highly recommend called "Living Next Door To Alice" (The background vocals & harmonizing are awesome!!!). "Stumblin' In" is one of my top favorites & I keep it on my iPod for vacations.

This to me has a strong Dr. Hook/Bellamy Bros feel to it

Ex Kiss drummer Peter Criss also had that similar voice. Try reacting to Kiss Hard Luck Woman. Peter Criss is singing and sounds very similar to Rod Stewart.
