    The trim color looks really good! I love it when you video at nurseries. It is fun to see the different plants you all have. I can’t wait to see your hubby’s creation with the bamboo. So neat!

      Thank you! The trim color is growing on me and it will be fine. We found more bamboo yesterday to build a hut with. Plus he is trying to propagate it too.

    Put a little light spray of soapy water on the plants with the bugs and see if that helps . I love living 33 stories up but I do I miss keeping my flowers.

      Hi Vanessa! Well for the last 4 yrs we got away from doing date nights aka going out to dinner etc and became home bodies so it’s been so nice to get out and about again with hubby. Plus Bob was so stressed from work he just didn’t want to do anything in the wknds but relax. Retirement is a new journey! Yes to that!

    Glad to chat with you on the premier! I had to run and have dinner…😃 Your plants are all so beautiful!! Hurricane season is fast approaching and we’ll be getting our monsoons soon enough! We had some strong winds on Thursday ahead of the storm and I thought we’d have to pull a potted palm on the pool deck closer to the house! Have a wonderful weekend! 💕🌸🌷

    My partner has had a lot of trial and error in our backyard. He planted bamboo along the back fence for extra privacy and our rear neighbours asked him to remove it because they were worried about it invading their back yard. Then, he planted large patches of lemon balm and peppermint and, as you mentioned, mint completely takes over because it spreads by their flowers seeding as well as by the root. My grandbunny doesn't even like it... he somewhat enjoys the lemon balm but would rather eat dandelion leaves over that any day!

    • @Myeverydaywifelife
      @Myeverydaywifelife  2 місяці тому +1

      Oh goodness! Almost everyone around has bamboo in their yard so hopefully it won’t be a problem. If I put the mint in another container it won’t spread everywhere. Actually having all my plants in containers up front makes it easier to take care of and less weeds.

    Queen palms are my favorite too. The vine climbing up the pole is a Monstera deliciosa aka Swiss cheese plant which produces a very expensive fruit. It will take over and needs shade. The three trunked palm is called Robellini Palm. I have one of those. Saw a Blue palm in a front yard and it tore the daylights out of the asphalt road running in front of the home. Use your thumbnail and scratch back the bark on the at Royal Poinciana (Flamboyant Tree) and there is green under the back then it is just hibernating. That hibiscus has aphids.

    Hi Michelle! I recommend reconsidering bamboo. I am against it. It will make underground roots and pop up in random places in your lawn. It is hard and sharp. You won’t be able to walk near it. Our local government has actually banned it because it encroaches in neighbors yards.

    • @Myeverydaywifelife
      @Myeverydaywifelife  2 місяці тому

      Where do you live? A lot if people around here have it in there yard. Hmmm

    • @Myeverydaywifelife

      Just told Bob about that he said no worries the kind we are planting is has clumping roots not running roots they are not invasive. There is a clump of bamboo in the park by back gate that has been there for 11 years and it has just grown tall not out. There are different types of bamboo.
      The bamboo that is invasive is called running bamboo.
