That was great. I’m seeing this seven months after it was posted but thoroughly enjoyed it. She’s so warm and personal in this one.
I'm just seeing it in 2023
I love you Ina (and Jeffery too.) I make my own Vanilla Extract too except l use Bourbon either Maker’s Mark or Booker’s. I hope you and Jeffery have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the rest of the upcoming Holidays.
Interesting 🤔
I will start a bourbon batch. I have a vodka one now.
Same here. I made a batch last year with bourbon and Tahitian vanilla beans; now I added some Madagascar to the batch to add more flavor. I almost wonder if her vanilla develops a ‘mother’ type of quality after that long...
Yes, Ina!!!! Thank you for keeping your infectious spirit and joie de vivre going at this time! Love you!
Normal food? Commoner food?! I saw Goya and Skippy on her shelf!
There was Maruchan Instant Ramen in there too!
Goya is the best
Pantry is full of normal food items - planters peanuts, smuckers jelly Stubbs bbq
Ina is anti-pretentious. She has money but knows the value of a buck. And she knows that just because something is expensive doesn’t mean it’s better (altho some good things are expensive).
And smuckers jelly!
Ohhhh Ina! You're THE BEST. You keep everything straightforward and simple. Thank you!!!
hello how are you?
I've loved Ina from the beginning.
It warms my heart seeing in the comments everyone saying “when I was a kid I came home to her” because that was me. She was always on at 5-5:30 and I always looked forward to her everyday after elementary going into highschool 🥰
My old housemate and I refer to Ina affectionately as "stick of butter lady" because every time we watched her cook, the recipe was "we'll start with a stick of butter" 😍
All good cooking starts with a "stick of butter."
"how easy is that" 😂 I love Ina, and yes everything is great with butter
paula deen could never
I love you Ina, you remind me of one of my very best friends. Your simple elegance and style are comforting!! Much love to you and the hubby for the holiday!!
"i have regular normal things in my kitchen"
"i keep 3 types of salt out" lol i love ina!!!!
I do too... I would think most amateur cooks do
I have like 5 types right now. I use the same Fleur de sel she does. I love it!
i was in elementary school when I first started watching Ina. I'm 25 now! And watching her now brings me back to such a safe, nostalgic place
I was relieved that when I googled Ina Garten's age to discover that it is not too late for me to make vanilla extract that I can use when it is 35.
I just adore this LADY!!! If I could have dinner with anyone in the world it would be this magical woman. Thank yo Ina Garten for giving us such joy.
I am so happy that I have some of the same things in my home that Ina does. Maldon sea salt flakes and ramen noodles!
I’ve always been a huge fan, but I have a friend who only started watching her since the pandemic started. She finds her soothing and relaxing to watch. Ina’s books always come out in October every other year and it’s a tradition that I receive it from my husband for Christmas. I just received Modern Comfort Food. (Unfortunately this one isn’t autographed, but my previous one is!)
I love Ina and with each of her videos I learn something, including this one!
Right? Me too~
Homemade vanilla extract
@@judiesuh6858 Exactly!!
Oh Ina that was so wonderful that you shared your favorite things in the kitchen. I love to cook. And I love how you make things and you are just so GOOD at it. Millions love you am one of them .. thanks again.
I’m with Ina on the tasting spoons. I have a set of my grandmother’s silver plate ice tea spoons in a mug by the stove and I use 4-6 daily when I cook.
Yes. I use my little espresso spoons for tasting, then I have no spoons for coffee etc. I should get some "tasting spoons". Silver plated mix and match spoons on Etsy are inexpensive
Do you ignore little girls dying of Cancer like Ina Does ?
So much love for this lady! Thanks for all the much needed joy, warmth and yumminess, Ina🖤
I was totally influenced to buy the stretch tite dispenser.
hello how are you?
Love you Ina!!! Just got your Modern Comfort Food cookbook today. Looks great, as all your other ones do, which I have!! Every single one! I appreciated all you do and for everything I learned from you over the years. Your recipes are a staple in our home. Have a wonderful holiday and stay well.
"Not the neatest pantry in the world..."? Girl, I'd kill to have an immaculate walk in pantry like yours.
I love Ina, I'm from the UK and love her easy style, wonderful recipes, her and Geoffrey seem like lovely people too know😊can't get hold of a few American ingredients here but I just improvise! When I cook anything now I always say ' how good is that' Thankyou Ina, you give us all inspiration. Stay safe 🌹xxxxx
That's a barn? Better than most people's homes.
Ina: "I don't have a lot of fancy equipment."
Me: Stares at the $20,000 double oven Viking range behind her.
@@OceanLover1188 Say that instead, not "that's my barn".
I believe she said she has another kitchen which she uses to film. That's her office kitchen, which must be in her barn. I agree with that set up...studio kitchen that's not part of her living quarters. Smart and industrious
I lover her. Growing up me and my mother used to watch her all the time. Seeing that she's aged kind of makes me sad because its like we are all getting older. Miss those days. She's honestly made me one of the best cooks in my household. Love her
In a standing in fron of a viking range ... I have what everyone else has 😭😭😭😭... this woman, god love her
My sister has a Viking range and double oven. She burns everything and I think they are a hassle. Don’t worry a good regular brand will serve most people better anyway.
Ina....so elegant and eloquent....I feel inspired whenever I see you cook....and you are one of the few chefs on tv....where I actually cook the food....I don't know what it is...I just feel like I can make it too....it seems easy and aprochable. Thank you
Happy new year 🎉
Ina: everything I have is super common!
Cut to silver spoons!
🤣👍👏🤩👌😝🤣
you can literally buy silver spoons at a thrift store, on Etsy or vintage shop... it's not that pricey at all
@@Sai-jo4gz I agree with you here in France you can find plain silver cutlery very cheaply in auction houses , because nobody wants to polish silver anymore . Bonjour de la Charente Maritime
But spoons from the thrift store , even silver spoons are cheap. Oh, how I miss the thrift store...
She says in the video that they're inexpensive.
Love everything Ina. Love the recipes, her happy spirit, the simplicity of her kitchen and tables.. So good.
Long time no see! Honestly, I didn’t expect you to show up here in NYT! Stay tuned with us :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Contessa Ina she is such a delight to watch and learn simply but very important tips from a lady with so much class.
Thank you for all the great recipes and her smile is just contagious. I am waiting for the latest cook book can not wait !!!
I need a pantry like that.
Don't we all...
Yep. Everyone needs a pantry like that. It’s better to have than to deal with those small cabinets and everything just going into pure chaos and you can’t find what you’re looking for. Its hard to find kitchens like that so it’s better to build your own and design it the way you want it.
I need a Contessa like that tbh...
My son absolutely adores you out of all the chefs on youtube you are amazing hope to see more of your vids on youtube
Did I just see instant ramen in Ina's pantry?!?! What a legend
Chicken flavor!
@@Marcel_Audubon So do you spend all your free time littering comment sections with hate out of jealousy or just for fun? Take your negativity elsewhere.
I think this means I can trust everything she has ever said
I love Ina! Love watching her, have all her cookbooks. She has what she has because she’s worked hard to get it. Choices, people!!
hello how are you?
I refuse to believe Ina puts something in the oven and forgets about it.
I really appreciate the recipe and idea on how to make vanilla extract. Mrs. Ina is so lovely and she reminds me of my Mom in Heaven, just a sweet and huggable lady! xx Happy Thanksgiving!
