It’s less hassle to just turn handbrake off, remove motor from calliper with two Allen keys, manually wind the calliper out, change pads, refit motor and turn handbrake on and off twice - jobs a good en! Plenty of people making a big deal out of electric handbrakes and trying to charge a fortune for labour.
I wish I had seen this video before I done mine, the handbrake is in a new position but it’s exactly the same, instead I took the motor off the calliper, loosened the ‘torque’ screw and was allowed to push the piston back, but I couldn’t get the motor back on, so I tried releasing the handbrake by the button, and created a small problem lol expensive mistake My question is this, next time if I just release the button, then take the calliper off to change pads, push piston back and put it back on, When I press the handbrake button back on, will I break it or will it reset itself to the new position?

Hi
I am not sure if what you suggest will work without doing any damage, the only way to be sure that it wont do any damage is with a diagnostic tool
What problem did you create. I make what you did and now I have a EPB error on the dash
A 308 T9 does Look different.
Sure you are talking about the right Car?
This video may have been done on a Citroen model with they same system,
