I bought a 550 2 years ago and all I've done is letters for Christmas stockings. Was told to get a hard drive to put my downloads on. Also told to get an extension like accord so not to plug thumb drive into machine all the time. Hoping i can use this machine and not get frustrated.

I want you to help me. How do I take drawings from Google to the embroidery machine? Does it have it by downloading a USB packet without the software? I want a response to my problem. I bought it on the basis of taking drawings of flowers from Google and embroidering them on the fabric

very new to my 550E Janome. Your video was very helpful as I was not able to get any help for learning how it works. Also thought I wouldn't be able to use my apple laptop as it was not compatible. after watching this I realize I can. Is it just the Embroidery editor program that is not useable with apple? You would just need to purchase a separate embroidery program?

What would you do if you are trying to create your own embroidery design? Let’s say I wanted to embroider a custom pre made logo on a sweatshirt that was designed elsewhere?

hello, I just got a Janome 500E Memory Craft ,and i'm having trouble converting my png files to JEF on my mac. I see that in your video you are making the conversion with a mac. but when I try, there is no option for JEF (Only jpeg, pdf etc...) this also happens if I use the Option format tool to get older formats.
I have the 500e le. Wish this info was in the operators manual.
I would like to find a small sized font that i could use for making a quilt label. Can you perhaps do a video on embrodering a quilt label. A plain and perhaps a fancy one. Thanks
I've been having a hard time with getting the 550e machine to recognize designs that are formatted for the largest hoop size which is the RE36b 7.9”x14.2. Do you know if this is a common problem?
Hi sweetie, Thank you so much for making this video….. I have a Janome mc 14000 first time that I’m trying to use a USB stick on my machine I also have a Mac I got as far as seeing on my machine the folder that said EMB …so far so good, but as soon as get to my Mac I see in one the EMB on the left and the EMBF on the right column….when I click on the right which is EMBF and click on it nothing happens… I don’t if I’m confusing but I need help.😢

Is it ok to have multiple USBs for multiple designs if the machine can’t handle them all? Do you have to delete some to make room?

Hallo, was ich gerade nicht verstehe ist wenn ich den USB-Stick in die Maschine rein stecke und wird das Ordner hergestellt heisst das ich so den USB-stick formatiert habe oder muss ich noch was zusätzlich machen um es zu formatieren. Ich hoffe du kannst mir weiter helfen. Danke in voraus 🤗🌷

question: can I do free motion embroidery on this machine, Please? I am on the point of deciding which one to buy (love quilting and embroidery as well) thank you in advance :)
You can not do free motion and embroidery on this machine because it doesnt have feed dogs. Call us we can help you out 813-661-9000
You need a zig zag sewing machine to do free motion embroidery, preferably an industrial one. Ignore this comment from JJ. You do not need feed dogs to do free motion. You would remove the feed dogs to do it. The reason computerized embroidery machines can't do free motion (or can but not that well) is that you have no direct control over the motor or the stitch width. With a zz you have foot/leg controls for speed and width which frees up both hands to control your work. You can get an old industrial machine for a fair price. I have a custom singer 20u which I fully restored. The thing is 40 odd years old and ridiculously good at free motion. If you don't fancy restoring a machine you can get them serviced by a specialist or buy a modern equivalent like a Juki.
Format to what file system?
This is a great tutorial but after successfully loading 2 separate designs and stitching them, I can't get anything more to load. I'm using a brand new USB stick and nothing is on it other than 2 designs. I have no idea what to do next.
