So I did buy and install this camera for my 2023 Honda Ridgeline. The instructions that came with it were, as you mentioned, poor. Your video was helpful. Frankly, the hardest problem was getting the extra length of the wiring harness that is needed to make the connection fit back in such a way that the lighting module would properly click back in. I ended up having to remove the whole surrounding assembly (the frame that contains the sunglasses holder) and just fuss with the whole thing for about 30 minutes until it would all go back in. I wish the wiring harness they include for the camera were longer so it would allow it to be easier to push it into the headliner and out of the way of the lighting module.
@ I literally just had to fiddle with the wire for almost an hour until I could get it all to fit back together. Just simple trial and error. It helped that it was hot in the car which made the plastic a little more flexible.
Helpful video, thanks for taking the time to put this together - watched the footage within your Kia Telluride video. Reading license plates is huge priority for me, and it appears this is up to the task.
this thankfully popped up in my feed; I have a 2023 RTL-E. I am looking for 3 channel system employing the STARVIS 2 sensor. I really like this product’s integral mounting design for the RL, and the dual channel capability. I guess I’ll just continue to wait to see if they offer an updated version. the VANTRUE model that does have those features gets mixed Amazon reviews, so I would rather not go that direction.
This is an ideal Dashcam for the Honda's , however the big downside is not recording while parked.. To me it seems this is a must considering theft and hit /runs..
Yes, love it so far. I didn't feel like messing with the wires to run the rear camera, plus it seems like most instances of where a dashcam would come in handy happen in front of the car. If you decide to install the rear camera model then please let me know your experience.
Check out my review of the Kia Telluride version where I show some footage. I think the UA-cam video is only 1080p, so the quality is actually a little better than what you see.
Carpe, one question - you said 2017 was compatible start of video but I noticed on website they only show 20-23 Ridgeline -- I have a 2017 RTL. Are you pretty confident it's also compatible prior years? I have a message to company, but have not heard back yet.

Running into the same problem...what was the solution?

RTL 2020 owner, there's 4 screws FYI, for those reading. I used an old credit card to push the lights off.
Thanks. Though I mentioned there were more screws than the instructions state, but perhaps I forgot.

They do offer a fuse box wiring harness for parking mode on their website under "accessories".
Do you still love it? And why didn’t you buy the rear camera option. Thanks

Has anyone tried the rear camera on the ridgeline?
How is the image quality. Saw it's 4k 30fps. Was hoping 60fps. Are you able to zoom in and read license plates?

Will this work on a 2024 Ridgeline I only see up to 2023?
It should. You may want to check with manufacturer just to be sure.

I was thinking about adding this to my new 2023 ridgeline. Do you know if it will support SD cards greater than 64 gb?
Should not be a problem
On their web site it says it can handle up to 128gnb SD cards.
So, I really like your video
How is it going with your dash cam all good?
