    my personal favorite tech is playing 6c sakazuki. i know the discard one sounds bad at first, but if you play around with removal combos, removing even cost cards can sometimes use the same amount of cards. example: hina hound blaze, or tsuru borsalino, both cost 2 cards to remove a 6c. sakazuki+leader eff is also 2 cards except you’re converting your 4zan/lucci that you can’t play/can retrieve into a -1c event basically, it’s removal; you also get the added bonus of holding precious events/2ks. my favorite combo is becca -> hina -> saka which removes a 10c and establishes 2 bodies and a blocker - great vs yellow. otherwise, borsalino ice age or borsalino + 2 tsurus/great eruption, is your only other answer, but you’re really vulnerable afterwards and it requires cards you can’t grab from trash so you have to hold or sac the option. as long as you don’t willy nilly play the sakazuki, can get kaido off, or properly use mansherry, you can get more hand size to make up for his price.

    I have been playing for about a month, and I went to my fourth tournament... and won!
    The final match (of four) was against an Enel player. I had only ever played Enel once before (and I lost). After that loss, I watched this video, and while I couldn't remember everything you said about Enel, I just knew that I had to keep him at 2 because I didn't want to get Yamato'd. Anyway, I just kept clearing his board and ended up winning on time.
    I actually made a pretty big misplay at on my very last turn. I had 3 life and he had 2. I could have played a 4 Borsalino blocker, but instead, I don'd Sakazuki 4 times and swung for 9. I hit, but it triggered his Satori, so he got a body on the board (where before that wasn't one). I still ended up winning, but I think it would have been better to have just been up in life (3 to 2) and had an extra blocker than to go for life, not play a blocker, and risk a crazy trigger (for those that don't know, when time is up, players both essentially get two more turns and whoever has more life wins).
    My knowledge of Enel is so shallow I didn't know what he could have had to mess me up. Anyway, I learned a lot, but I owe my win (and my firs Winner tournament pack) to you.

    1. you should play kuzan depend on the situation, that help u remove something big easily
    2. also depends if u want to keep enel at 2 life. of course they might not play yamato cuz they have 2 life but with one more life, yamato's tagert is up by 1, they might just play it to KO something bigger on ur board while establish a body.

    31:02 so I think you got this part backwards. This deck plays way more reduction than removal. If you can cycle the lucci to bottom rather than hina you are better off. Most lists play more than 15 valid targets for reduction (tashigi, tsuru, hina, great eruption, ice age and leader ability) while for removal there’s lucci, hound blaze, Borsalino, and maybe a Koby if you tech it in.

    Yep, tried this list, it makes sense, but its a lot more difficult to play recently. Plus, I think people are starting to get very aggressive at sakazuki recently, you almost never have chance to play Kaido, so it ends up being a dead card in hand. Got jebaited at locals and went badly. Thanks for the tips, tho, they are very helpful!

    I got shit on with P Luffy against a Saka who literally had everything. Lost the dice roll so had to go first, could play ulti + page one, ulti got removed with a rebecca into koby. I ko koby in two hits, play magellan. He kills ulti and combo bottom decks my magellan. I play a second magellan to prevent him from doing an easy 7 borsa, but the second magellan also gets combo bottom decked. I literally couldn't do anything.

    • @heartpiratestcg

  • @brandonaustin6305
    @brandonaustin6305 8 місяців тому +1

    Pretty sure enel won the last regional off the back of bege in his last life as the pluffy was going for game😅 calling yellow "braindead" and "skilless" i think is an understatement. Yellow players in the comments saying "just get good" makes no sense because no amount of skill on my part can prevent that from happening while also requiring no skill from you at all to draw the exact card you need out of life. It is 100% luck based.

    • @heartpiratestcg
      @heartpiratestcg  8 місяців тому +4

      I couldn’t agree more. I think zoro and WB are unfair decks. But I think Kat and enel are just the lamest decks around

    • @DGzCarbon
      @DGzCarbon 8 місяців тому

      That's a bit disingenuous and just makes you seem like a hater. Most top decks can do unfair decks. Yellow is built to abuse triggers. It's not "100% luck based" when it's doing what it's built to do consistently. Triggers are a big part of its gamelan and most of the time they will hit some. Other decks have more powerful cards individually but less triggers. It's doing what its supposed to do

    • @heartpiratestcg
      @heartpiratestcg  8 місяців тому +1

      Its just my opinion. I do not like losing to a deck that revolves around luck. Its not fun outplaying your opponent and you getting unlucky and losing to something they didnt control.@@DGzCarbon

  • @michaeltran237
    @michaeltran237 8 місяців тому

    So not quite understanding the never play Kuzan, i like the idea of kuzan due to 2 things. 1. its replaces himself, so you get a draw. Lets say they pop him, its net even you didnt neg. then 2. it creates a target for them to focus on. If they cant get him away quick then him staying creates a big threat to them. I like the mental aspect of the opp having to get rid of him. I think playing Borsalino instead doesnt gain you anything.

    • @castleford2591
      @castleford2591 8 місяців тому +2

      You're giving up too much tempo playing the Kuzan if you know it's going to get popped. By playing the Borsalino first you make the opponent have a suboptimal play.

    • @illeston3
      @illeston3 8 місяців тому +1

      thing is, yes you get the card to replace him, but they gain tempo. playing a safer card like bors, stops that.

    • @illeston3
      @illeston3 8 місяців тому

      @@yaboyvickk5635 Yeah but you have Borsalino on board, they didn't ramp, they spent the whole turn to +1k their leader and you can just remove the kid. and if you're able to develop while removing the kid, you're in a really good spot.

    • @castleford2591
      @castleford2591 8 місяців тому

      @@yaboyvickk5635 A competent Luffy will just play Paulie anyway (if they have it) pop nothing and ramp to 8 don and swing 6. Paulie got them the ramp. 7c Kid sets them back and gets cleared by Ice Age into whatever removal option.
      A T4 Kaido or Double Magellan is a much trickier situation for the Sakazuki to get out of than outing 1 7c Body on board.
