Yeah - it's a tough tone to recreate. The original guitar tone is so well produced! Looking back... it was much harder to get a good tone than it was learning to play it. I did it in Amplitube using a couple of different Metal/High Gain amps - with an overdrive pedal. There's also a flanger on the intro. Heavy strings really help... otherwise it sounds floppy and out of tune. The presets (screenshots and Amplitube patches) are on the website - for Patreon supporters if it helps.

My first song i learned the intro too along with surfacing and diluted by slipknot, great cover man really digging it love to just lay back and get stoned outta my gourd and just vibe to this song. Quick question but how do you get that echoey sound for the intro? Does it involve other gizmos and gadgets to get going or can i do it with just an amp? Rn all i have are a wah pedal, boss distortion pedal and a peavey vip vypyr amp.

Do your fingers mute any of the strings?for the life of me I cant help but mute the D string (13th fret) and the B string, also the ones for the 17th 18th fret, I mute the B string (11th fret) and D for the main riff smh and the high E rings out weird for both riffs
Absolutely... For example - I only play the 2 strings (12th and 13th)... and then let the B and small E string ring out.
okay so when you transition to the 9th and 11th frets which strings do you mute? Im sitting here thinking how in the world do you not mute any strings lol @@SparkyGuitar

What pedal did you use dude?
It was in Amplitube... I used a combination of metal amps with a Metal Flanger for the intro and just a basic overdrive pedal for the main tone.

strumming pattern?
Is not that hard try to follow the sound pattern with you hand playing an invisible guitar while your eyes are closed, that always works for me. Also there is a lot o muted notes in between, also very easy to catch if you do it eyes close
