I think why so many people are drawn to him is not just because he is outwardly attractive, but also maybe because he has this kind of brooding "darkness" to him as well, very subtle and buried, but it's there.

Check out the movie "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", he played a mentally impaired child in that movie and did it so incredibly well that you would assume that he actually WAS mentally impaired - seriously, check out some scene from that movie and try telling me that isn't convincing there.
Even people who have WORKED with mentally impaired people have thought that his performance in that movie was extremely accurate.
Also check out his role in the movie "Titanic", he doesn't "scream" particularly often there at all, and the entire movie is much more inspired by Romeo & Juliet.

Honestly, it's his confidence. Even at a young age, he came across as smart and witty, in some instances a lot more so than the older people around him. He didn't care how he looked or presented because he didn't have to. That was the M.O. that was so drawing. He was a rebel but also a decent guy at the same time who liked to push people's buttons. He was and is this 'whole package'.

Yesterday I was taking a math exam and out of nowhere I remembered Jack's death scene in Titanic and teared up and had a really hard time concentrating on the exam for a good 10 minutes. The funny thing is that even though I've known who Leo is basically my whole life and watched Titanic about 8 years ago (when I was 8 years old, I'm 16 now), I never really thought much of him until I watched The Wolf of Wall Street 3 weeks ago and fell in love with him as an actor, and later as a person as I watched a bunch of his interviews. I've watched 8 other movies of his since then and I'm on a mission to watch every single movie he's ever done. Not only is he a gorgeous human being and a very talented actor, he's also very well spoken and intelligent, and chooses unique movies he truly believes in. He respects and loves his job so much! He puts a lot of effort into understanding the characters he's portraying, and intentionally doesn't reveal a lot about himself so he can be believable playing any role, which to me is pretty mindblowing. He really makes acting seem like an art. An to top it all off he's a dedicated environmentalist. Yes, he has his flaws but nobody's perfect. I have developed so much love and respect for this guy in just a few weeks. Love him.
