So for those that fish a fluke on a jig, you want a jig head 1/2 Oz- 1oz (or more depending on the flow but 1oz are what I use the most) and you want to let it sink till you hit the bottom. You'll see your line go limp, or you'll feel it, but it takes practice. Bump it off the floor for more hits, especially when the temp rises and the fish stick to deeper water. For jerk baits, try to fish up stream in the eddies where the violent current ends and meets calmer water. These are just some tips that have helped me. Good luck out there!
Thanks for your tips bro!
Where the aquaduct in California?
@@questionmark4422 skip to 8:20 on the video he shows you how to find it on google maps
So true yet less current lighter lures smaller models you’ll get knocked on by them bass on real flow bruh you’ll be on hella fish go light go small more bites Aye !!
This's the most comprehensive video about lures I've watched for CA Aqueduct fishing, ton of thanks! Could you please cover what rod(s) you are using for 130 jerkbaits, jighead, and spoons? (btw what is the weight of those, they look like 1oz or more, especially that big one).
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Thanks for this very helpful video, been fishing for a few months Never caught a striper after watching this vid. on Thursday I was excited to get out the aqueduct and try some of the things you mentioned in the video, caught my first Striper yesterday on my first cast of the morning with a jerkbait! even tho it wasn't a keeper I was stoked! thanks for the tips brother! I really appreciate it 🙏

Great video bro! Very much needed information. Tight lines!
Ty sir really needed to learn about gates and check numbers !
Sheeeeeeeesh thanks for the info bro!!! 🤙🏻
Wonderfull video my friend very good information
Awesome vid man! Thank you very much. Gotta get out there and get some bass! Once you find a retrieve technique that works, it's like striking gold. Then you can work the same technique with different lures, different bodies of water, different sizes etc.! Tight lines!
Those are nice stripers!
Thanks again
Good lookin on how to find the gates 👍
Great job, let's go Volt Inu.
Love your videos bro .. SUBBED FISH BUDDY FOR LIFE 🥓💪😎
Awesome video.
Are you in Victorville?.
My older brother and I we tried try to find striper bass, so we go home with no fish😞
What rod length and power would you recommend?
I have tried to reach those fishing spots but I have not found a way to access them.
Damn you are super far south!!! Im up at the start of the aquaduct!!
Excelente bro muy buen equipo de pesca 🎣🎣👍👌👍👌💯
We're a California Academy so we catch the fish. At Tracy California or San Luis reservoir.
Why do you cast with your right hand and reel with your right hand?
What. City are you fishing at
What location is that golf course ?
Nice video bro
Very intrigued by this aqueduct fishing...I literally drive over the portion that runs under 580 in tracy...are there any areas there fishable?
Yea there’s a whole lot of spots, pretty much just drive around the canal if its open and if there’s other guys out there its safe to fish generally. CDFW should have designated spots mapped out on their website too.
@isaac.rod. thanks..will check the site
what size is the Duo box? looking to get one on tackle warehouse but don’t know what size is good for the 120sp and 130sp jerkbaits
Size 160 will fit the 130sp perfect !
@@hookinemwithgio 🙏
Where is this located?
google map no show check gate 21,, how u find it on google map???
What is lb test on your line?
Good question, also braid vs mono etc.
Is it safe for a 77 yr old to fish the Aqueduct without protection?
Been getting skunked out here in Palmdale.
I used to live in palmdale 40 years ago and was a master at catching them there. Got a 40 lber in 1985. Try 110st w and all the way west by 138 and I-5 by gorman
These stripers are living in a cement canal aqueduct, what
natural food are they eating?
They feed on thread fin shad , sculpin, silverside minnows, carp and bass.
Shad minnows river
Would the lucky craft 110 flash minnow be a good option for the aqueduct? That's what they use for surf fishing but I've had no luck in the aqueduct yet.
Also how about a video on why different lures are best at certain times.
I have never tried the LC 110 the color waves are good just that I don’t think they dive deep enough I would get a suspending jerkbait. I will definitely make a part two to this video on different subjects !
How do I get here?!!!
Can you get in trouble what you doing driving that far on Levi
White try a mal- lure by mepps
Please give good location
He said below the gates
"Not pricey" $15 for a lure. LOL 😄
hey you How To Go Fishing For Striper With Lures and LLLLLL
Urmabr
10 - 12 ft. Pretty sure. That's not fast. That's average speed. The way you retrieve is what works....there's no right or wrong way.
Did I skip thru the parts where he catches fish? 🤣👎
Neverrrrrrrr put your tackle on the rail please
I don't like the idea of teaching bc people are not responsible fishers.
How to fish the aqueduct…go fishing and have a bait in the water!!! Nothing of particular importance in the video, no catches. Thumbs down
