I admire people from Western countries who are able to enjoy a country like Saudi Arabia. As for myself, as a Western woman who has always lived in Western countries, I must say I would feel very uncomfortable and miserable to see all those women there who are totally covered and wear almost only black clothing and hide their bodies and faces. When I see them in Europe dressed like that, I actually feel anger and sadness. My worst nightmare would be to go to Saudi Arabia and to have to dress like that. Even when I watch the video at 2:22 I can't help thinking that it is a nightmare to live that way and it actually breaks my heart that women have to endure such a life, but I do respect those people.

I spent my life's most important days there! From 2004 to 2018. Heart touching memories.. never forgettable happiness, emotional moments.. ups and sometimes down too.. Left the city under some unavoidable circumstances in April 2018. I am watching Riyadh with tears in my eyes after 2 and half years through this video. Many things are changed and more developed and most places are still the same! Thank u Fardeen. I miss you my darling Riyadh... Hope I can be there once again in life (In Shaa Allah) 😭😭😭
i lived in saudi arabia from 2000-2019 (2000-2015 in jeddah, 2015-2019 in riyadh). i'm quite amazed on the development of riyadh to become a much better version of itself as the years go by. how i wish i could bring back time to when i was still living in the ksa. now, my former life in the ksa is simply a memory of my childhood :") brings a tear to my eye whenever i see videos and pictures of riyadh and jeddah.

I spent 7 months in Riyadh 30 years ago. I did a lot of driving and saw a lot of the city. There were maybe three times in this whole video where I caught a glimpse of something vaguely familiar. Riyadh has completely transformed, and in a good way.

I spent 7 months in Riyadh 30 years ago. I did a lot of driving and saw a lot of the city. There were maybe three times in this whole video where I caught a glimpse of something vaguely familiar. Riyadh has completely transformed, and in a good way.
