    What about the studies that claim the human brain shrinks during sleep expelling spinal/brain cell fluid that gets cleaned and reinfused so that waste matter is removed during sleep.

    Giulio Tononi, the Golden hair Italian Psychiatrist looking for a fundamental question: Why do we sleep?
    You are saying:" Sleep is the price to pay for brain plasticity?"
    Absolutely.From a singularity point of view, each one of you is a harvesting light unit, with a relay , your eyes.Photons in your construct are a dynamic flow, in constant movement.They enter your body(your singularity bridge), circulate, then end in your deep mind, and travel, directed elsewhere in the universe, through your "holes"(yes! You are 99%void, you are porous).
    In the day light, you are in harvesting mode, you work for the singularity to bring light, but use a very little quantity for yourself.Imagine a farmer harvesting vegetables, he doesn't use the energy they provide while working.But, when he gets home, he cooks some, in rest mode and use it.
    When you sleep, your vital functions use very little energy, mostly used by your brain.When facing big challenges during the day, you produce a lot of electricity, you attract a lot of light, that runs through you, reaching your brain and escaping.The singularity pushes you to your limit to improve your light input.
    During the night, what is left in the complex wraps of your minds , still circulating, but in a complex space time interface trapping it( your brain), is used for your own benefit, reparing your whole body.Difficult memories are isolated, good memories are highlighted, optimism, euphoric thoughts, neuroplasticity that allows the unit to repare and be able to perform the day after.
    Well, it happens that you are used by a predatory singularity, very bad scam, that eats a lot, and destroys its own unit, in a careless predatory selfish way, refusing it, even its pay! This type of singularity pushes to sleep disturbences, doesn't want you to sleep: drugs, coffee, alcohol, night mode life...The people plagued with this type of sh#it end up suiciding, or under antidepressant medecines that doesn't really solve the lack of reparating light problem.

      Just an other thing:
      The russian deprivation sleep experiment, very harsh, shows that sleep is essential to keep you, as a specy, in mammal mode, and peaceful.The light reparation allows you to build, repare, and care for your unity.Sleep is a One benefit.
      When these poor men were deprived from sleep for a long period, they transformed to the singularity that is at the end of their mind, harboring predatory behavior , and pushed to suicide.
      Conclusian: SLEEP WELL!

    You sleep to enable the brain's chemistry to regenerate. No need to talk about it. Poor lecture, people are sleeping.
