Science on Film, Episode 7: How Light and Lighting Affects Our Daily Lives
Переглядів 124Місяць тому
Light plays a crucial role in our visual experience, but how does it truly influence our daily lives? This is the question being explored by PhD student Niloufar Tabandeh at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. Under the guidance of research group leader Manuel Spitschan, she is investigating the variability of natural scenes in their spectral, spatial, and temporal aspects. Joi...

Hi I am from India. I completed my integrated m.tech in biotechnology. I want to join your lab as a PhD student .May I know the procedure of application Thank you
You can check out the application procedure for the IMPRS program here: imprs-mmfd.tuebingen.mpg.de/
Lillian I am not sure about your current status as researcher but just imagine yourself as zebra fish being observed by someone without consent lol just to have objective experience to have full picture about zebra fish lol.
Quiet researcher lol
Why are they filming the audiance? Show the presentation and the speaker simultaniously and only that!!!
Lillian ، why are you not replying my questionwhy don't you make more videos , is there any particular reason.
Hi Dr Lilian could you please upload more videos about your research as a preacher of good behaviour promoter. ❤❤❤
Hi zeynep, are you Muslim and if yes then could you highlight the Muslim scientists contributions in brain, mind or behavioural sciences in human history until now. Please do reply. Does Lilian work with you.
Sir could you upload videos about effects of environment especially professional music on kids personality development. Regards
We should stay with science and ethics
Interesting lecture thank you for nice presentation, Sir!
How about the selection
Hi respected Lillian, please let me know what kind of microscope you are using in your research for this video to observe changes in neurones. How do you identify specific molecule in a particular neuron. Please if you find time then please upload more videos and your research papers references. Thanks. Regards
Hew to apply for master neuroscience this university, also tell me about scholarships offered by this university.
Hello can you please tell how to contact with PI in neuroscience department and how to apply
Thank you ❤
Is there any research needed for practical demonstration of cybernetics in action in a 50 years Roadmastery experience in search of a good person in human race. 😅
Lilian please upload more videos about your work if possible.
Do you not think that isn't this a very remarkable thing that things as simple as a bunch of molecules tend to know about what is better for them and what is not? I mean you look at it, then this is no different than the other molecules that are seemingly non-living?

Do light help boost energy??
It does it indirectly. Light triggers serotonin, which can boost your energy.
again for 'pinkifizierung' and gayporn spam on unremovable surgically implanted smartlenses like in 2012 before the bombing in tübingen?
Congratulations! MEDAM.
I study philosophy science i can pass neuroscience?
no lol
what is neuroscience
Neuroscience is basically the study of the brain and nervous system. It differs from other brain related areas of study such as cognitive science and psychology which studies more about the mind, information processing, and behavior.
what is the name of the cool microscope?
What should we study for it in undergraduate years ? Is it medical lab
It's an interdisciplinary field and covers many subjects behavioural sciences (cognitive, social, behavioural psychology etc) maths, biology. But if you don't have choice to opt any specific major, biology is the way better to get into neuroscience as bio itself covers not only brain structure and function but behavioral science also and it will provide you general spectrum to look into the field. In short you can go for psychology or biology to get into neuroscience.

animal torturers, heartless criminals
nothing against you but ... torturing animals, primates even, is an abomination!
doing the cruellest animal tests humans can come up with? gratulation, knowledge excuses everything. really?
We are human beings and we will commit mistakes and only solution to avoid such mistakes is again further research and education we can't deny the importance of responsible research in science and ethics, if we love our humanity and future. What is cruelty in its true meaning and can we avoid cruelty from life and is it not cruelty to preach religion, ethics and science to kids without their consent because they have no capacity to give their consent.

Dr. Buszaki is a top neuroscientist and philosopher. Love how he tells a story eloquently and elegantly. Thanks for uploading this!
Okay, I’m particularly keen on this topic of translational- clinical brain science towards therapeutics but why spoil a potentially awesome talk with a bizarre attempt at illustration with medieval religion😢
Wonderfull!!
How's working in an oppressive regime with active concentration camps in China going for you Nikos? This guy doesn't care about any primates, human or non-human.
You sleep to enable the brain's chemistry to regenerate. No need to talk about it. Poor lecture, people are sleeping.
Kyle McCormickron variant xD ahaha now I know where is coming from
very impressive
One would gather from this talk that blindsight doesn’t exist but this is a complete fallacy and his arguments are just glossed over claiming blindsight 2 proves there is consciousness in the hemianopic field, which is wrong. Blindsight 2 merely represents a feature of awareness or ‘feeling’ something was there but the patient still denies actually seeing anything. Semir simply avoids in depth discussion of this to force his point of view, which is disingenuous

What about the studies that claim the human brain shrinks during sleep expelling spinal/brain cell fluid that gets cleaned and reinfused so that waste matter is removed during sleep.
Glimphatic theory?

Hey! I know this guy! Hi dad :)
Not many people willing to claim to know someone who tortures monkeys and doesn't care about human rights either. Good luck to you getting out from under that dark shadow.
