Awesome video! We appreciate it. Since you don’t have a set screw what you can do is put some tape or a rag where you are looking for grip then tighten it down with channel locks or pliers to your tripod. Once tightened down like that it won’t come loose.
Just use a little blue lock tight to hold the pan head on. Blues not that strong so you can still get it off if you want. Red lock tight will be more Permanent.
Yeah it is a little close and the pan lever doesn’t really lock down all the way. At least on mine. I just leave the pan lever locked down and it seems like it still pans with the same tension as unlocked. Then I don’t need to mess with it and it stays out of the way from the plate when tilting. If that makes sense.

Have you had any issues with the tilt adjustment lever hitting the plate above it when trying to lock the pan at an angle?
