Not even close. He still missed the key aspect that it’s not a Z2, it’s a Z2 Go which is objectively worse than the Z1 Extreme. Older hardware and less cores. You’re better off getting the Legion Go 1 with the extreme at that rate and installing Steam OS yourself. Bigger/better screen, higher frame rate, better APU, and with Steam OS beta releasing this month, you can have it months earlier
@ I just wanna know how much better the legion go 2 will be. And I wonder if Lenovo would allow us to just buy the tablet of the legion go 2 since the controller are interchangeable..
Is the legion go 2 any more comfortable that was my only issue with first one it legit hurt my palms after like 30 min even when I bought 3rd party grips still super uncomfortable all I hope is this is more comfortable
Basically the same S performance or slightly better than the Steam Deck without an OLED and no VRR. The only advantage I see is native windows drivers if you wanted to dual boot.
the 55w battery alone is a deal breaker for me i am afraid :/ the ally x has really spoiled me to the point where i cant really feel excited for any less
I have been waiting for years to buy a handheld gaming unit. The Legion Go 2 is what I want. Thankfully the prototype keeps at least one of the trackpads, while the S models have none. That's a drawback for me. I am willing to pay a little more than $1000 CDN for the Go 2 when it comes out, I hope later this year. Then my wait will finally be over.
Looks like a decent budget handheld, but it can't compare to the high-end Strix Point and Lunar Lake models, like the new Onexfly F1 Pro and MSI Claw 8 AI+, or the upcoming Asus ROG Ally 2 and Lenovo Legion Go 2. This Legion Go S will have lower performance than the old Legion Go, ROG Ally, etc. And the battery capacity is limited too. Also, SteamOS is pretty limited so I would go with the Windows version of the Legion Go S.
The LeGo S comes with the option of the Z1 extreme but with 32gb ram. Also a bigger battery than the original LeGo. So it is going to be as fast or faster then the current versions (other than claw 8ai+ maybe)
@@TheFlash8889 49.2 vs 55.5 Whr battery is a very minor change, and it's missing stuff like OLED, removable controllers, etc. And it's still a budget or lower-spec handheld by today's handheld PC standards (Z2 Extreme and Lunar Lake). I just bought a used 1TB Legion GO. Its my first handheld. Is it worth it to return it and just wait for the Legion GO S? Is Steam OS that much of a deal breaker? Can I still play my EpicGames and GOG games with a Steam OS system?
@@cthugha76You can also havr the Z1 extreme in the go s. but with 32gb ram instead of 6 so its actually faster than the old because you can allocate mor ram to the graphics unit
Was having a discussion about that with a friend of mine recently. While I am curious to what Nintendo could Officially (none of that rumor nonsense. ACTUAL info) bring to the table with the Switch 2, they have to realize its not 2017 anymore like when the Switch first hit the market. We got mini retro handhelds that can not only fit in our pockets, but cost less then 150 bucks to play nearly ALL the retro titles including more then just Nintendo ones, and handheld PCs with more power and features that can easily go beyond from JUST being a Nintendo ONLY gaming console while still being manageable in terms of the price to value that you DO get from those features. So, other then the Nintendo name and the blind fanboys buying it; what would it (Switch 2) actually do to stand apart from the rest nowadays?
@ just to name 4 very big games. CoD, Fortnite, GTA5 and Destiny 2 . And then too just have Steam for how many games and unsupported. For example Spacemarines 2 become inoperative in SteamOS sometimes after launch
You’re probably going to wait a few generations for that because that will take a toll on gaming performance and companies want these to be mini gaming before anything else
I'm holding out for the Ally 2, but these handhelds have been really exciting the last few years.
I'm assuming it'll be released later this year?
I'm so excited for all these different handhelds coming to the market
They should called it
Legion Go S
and
Legion Go W
big miss opportunity
Definitely waiting for the Go 2.
I will wait for the GO 2
Beter wait for the end of the world bro
@@NIKONOS7hahaha
GO 3 is more powerful.
1kg lol
Ill wait for GO 4
no trigger locks for the go 2 is a weird decision. I hope they bring that over in the final design.
This will be a big year for handhelds. I was looking at a Ally ROG X or MSI Claw 8 AI+. I might end up getting a Legion Go S (Windows).
Thank you for being the only person so far to confirm that the display is OLED on the LEGO2. I’m buying one now, no doubt.
Do they have an all black option? I like all my devices black to make me feel like batman
That is black lol

Go 2 is the ultimate handheld.

Weights more i think
Same
@ not concerned with weight more concerned with sharp edges digging into my palms hopefully they curved it off more made it more comfortable to hold.
No gyro or capacitive controllers?
Man I just got the Steam Deck OLED. Not a fan of its battery life and power. Will this be significantly better? If so, I'll grab one.
How much will the lenovo go 2 be?
This isn’t set in stone but seeing that the Go S will be around $750 for the windows version.. Go 2 has to be at least $850-$950.
@@UnrealNeal yeah I was estimating around that much also because of the OLED display, well time to start saving!
Like $1000 thanks to Tonald’s tariffs 😒
VRR screen?
did they really put the Z1 inside the SteamOS version but the Windows version gets Z2?
if im not wrong the z1 extreme is actually more powerful than the z2 go , and both windows and steam version come with the choice of either processor
@@gcforreal Z1 Extreme is more powerful yes. Regarding the Steam version of this handheld isnt it only the Z2 Go or am i smoking something?

And a bigger screen
I heard the legion go 2 has a 2.5k screen still? if true thats actually off putting albeit oled
Huh? How big of a resolution do you want a handheld screen to be? 4k? 😂😂
well 20 fps on games
It's going to be 1920x1200 which is basically 1080p with a 16:10 ratio
There's a reason why steam will not use the z2 extreme.. im waiting for deck 2
the 55w battery alone is a deal breaker for me i am afraid :/

We should wait and see how the Z2 Go chip runs. It’s apparently more energy efficient. So maybe the 55w battery won’t be so bad!!
@@UnrealNeal yeah i did watch some videos and if its more efficient then true
i guess the vrr screen itself is a good deal to have too
so this has windows AND steamOS?
There are two models, one with Windows (white) and one with SteamOS (black).

it's not an oled
