- Rich Vos is in studio. They talk about couples fights, kids, Christmas, Vos' car problems and a Continental Airlines crash. They talk about names on sports and entertainment venues and have Vos say celebrities' names. Nick DiPaolo arrives. They joke about Michael Jackson possibly having a fatal lung disease, a news story about the Tree Man, the blind NY Governor is in Iraq, a news guy getting emotional, bust on Vos for spending Christmas with his ex-wife and make fun of Bruce Willis' daughters. They make fun of Vos for wearing a rabbit fur jacket, Opie asks to try it on just so he can spike it in the trash can, they make fun of Opie's shirt and have Vos name more celebs. (12-22-08)
Notice how everyone in the room went quiet after Nick said something about being told to wait...everyone but Opie. This is an example of what Jimmy complained about, Opie making comics wait

It's all power moves.. I remember the episode with Bill and Nick, Nick calls Opie out for it and then Opie frames it like "what side of the bed did you wake up?"
Opie is your typical corporate, power move type of personality with a shit attitude. He had several power moves like that, like asking someone a question and the second they try to answer her speaks over them loudly to expand on his question. He was and always will be Spuds Buckley desperate for acceptance.

Opie didnt have the right to insult Vos, Opie was beneath him
while this is true. back then. a lot of people hated vos and found him annoying. opie was just picking up on the dynamic.
The dismissiveness with which Opie regards Vos is infuriating.
Vos killed Opie in the long run when he asked opie, "where's the talent" following Ant's dismissal from XM. But opie in his glorious self prevented him from coming in after that

Because Vos took it the best and wouldn’t go nuclear on him like any other comic would.
Vos could’ve ended Opie in any of his appearances and didn’t because he knew about greggshells and how sensitive opies estrogen made him. He had tremendous restraint and Opie was a talentless schmuck the entirety of his career.

No we don’t... it got zero point zero laughs. That line was from Steve from Bayshore and Ant was just laughing at the original line. Even Ope didn’t let out a forced chuckle like he usually does.
