  • Shamanism is an ancient wisdom system that has been practiced around the world in many different cultures and in many different times and places. Shamans are the doctors, mediators, educators, diviners, and ceremonialists of the communities they serve. In this video, Isa Gucciardi describes the causes and symptoms of power loss, an imbalance considered to be at the heart of many forms of mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual illness by many shamanic healers. You will learn how to recognize power loss in yourself and in others, and learn how a shamanic form of healing called power retrieval can help restore vitality. For more information on Applied Shamanism, see sacredstream.org.
Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D. is the Founding Director of the Foundation of the Sacred Stream, a school for consciousness studies in Berkeley, CA. Isa is the creator of the spiritual counseling model, Depth Hypnosis, and the author of Coming to Peace and Return to the Great Mother. In addition to her teaching schedule that includes teaching classes in Applied Buddhist Psychology, Applied Shamanism, Integrated Energy Medicine and Depth Hypnosis, she has active practices in Depth Hypnosis and Applied Shamanic Counseling in San Francisco, CA.
We hope you will find these programs helpful. If you do, please consider donating to the Foundation of the Sacred Stream. We are a non-profit school for consciousness studies. We work hard to make these kinds of teachings widely available, and we appreciate any support you can provide us so we can continue reaching more people who can benefit from them. This is fundamental for all types of healing. If a person doesn't take responsibility for his own healing and thinks the healer is going to fix it for him, it won't work or it only works on a superficial level (like lot of allopathic healing works).

I was able to sense your energy despite being many miles away. As a healer myself, I have decided to heal you, the other healer, in the old Celtic tradition. I did some healing to your upper body, I did some healing to your spine, lower back, and ankles. I did some healing to your emotional well being, and I did some healing to your mental body. I did some healing to your endocrine glands, as well as healing to past memories adversely affecting your present mindset. You may not feel anything at the time, but 90% of the people I have healed will feel something within 24 hours. Make sure to drink plenty of water overduh next 24 hours, as toxins from the healing will be flushed out. I hope you have a wonduhful response to my healing you.

My son took his life 5 years ago... he lost the will to live then...so was at that point unabled to be helped..?
Think he took me with him.. i am unable to move on or let go of guilt as a mother to have been unable to protect or save him. I ‘pretend’ to be ‘ok’ coz thats whats expected of me so im living a lie... is there anything you could speak to me . Thankyou..... all kind well meaning efforts to uplift and comfort me i accept politely..... but in truth i feel to be ‘ok’ with the pain n suffering he must of felt is an insult to him... and i can’t do it..!! Thankyou🙏🏻

Ana, I lost my wife 4 mos. ago and have been crying nearly every day in deep lonliness and sadness, but something is occurring that's truly wonderful: i.e. I'm aware of her loving heart which she gave me throughout our 50 years of marriage. It's like God wants me to feel sadness in order to feel love- - - something like that.....and the louder my sobbing, the stronger is the love of her heart. Truly these are mystical moments of life/death and I actually look forward
      to the next one.

Ana, is feeling guilty a way to punish yourself as if you deserve it? If you don't feel guilty, do you still feel moving on would negate being a good mother, for example: maybe I wasn't a good mom if I can move on?

mental addictions are the hardest to break, not the physical ones and the physical addiction is merely a manifestation of the mental.
