Sleeper 960HP AWD Civic Runs 8's on Street Tires! The Perfect Street Honda?

- On this episode we feature one of the baddest street driven hondas we've seen! Ryan Chin's 1996 Honda Civic (AWD K20) is pure insanity, pushing almost 1000awhp with a 7285 turbo, it is capable of running mid 8's all while still riding on 225/50/15 street radial tires. As far as we know this is the quickest and fastest honda on a street radial tire. We can't wait to see more with this car, stay tuned!

As a performance car builder I just want to say thank you to the owner of this car for giving mad shout outs do the people that help him achieve his goal. There are way way too many people that will say they built a vehicle and they didn't. They paid for it to be built. I've seen a RWD run 5s in the eight on hard tires, not r888s or other semi slicks. Straight up 200 treadwear street radial tires.

I remember this car and driver from the NSCRA days...around 2009. It was one of the few turbo K-series street cars from that time, and was super clean. It's nice to see him get the car back and doing this new build, the car still looks nice!

It also says street tires, which he even states are drag radials. Not that I'm crapping on the car, cause it's still super fast, but they should at least change the title to drag radials. The guy even admits to not driving it every day. Cars like this are lucky to get a year out of them before having to replace and engine or transmission, to start it all over again, etc. Especially with this car being high compression and running boost. But I'm sure it's still loads of fun running down the track!!

not really. in the end its still a civic...now remove all the go fast parts n it wouldnt hurt anyones feelings...same thing can be said for any car that is heavily modified...put the same aamount of money he did in this car into a lets say demon or hellcat and would end up with the same results

Simple? You do know this guy amongst others who had it before him and it stayed at a race shop the whole 10 years damn near it.. this car has way too much money in it to call it what they claim. Yes it's fast but several people owned it in the matter of 10 years and eventually sold it bc they couldn't afford to keep building it. Now he gets it after he let everyone pay for most of the work done to it. He saved finished it now claims he built the car. What a douche

Awesome Build!! For the sleeper effect, all I would of done was remove the Flex Fuel badge, ran a stock exhaust and made an electronic cut off before the stock exhaust and straight piped the Exhaust and dump tube under the car

Good looking build. It's nice to see someone who appreciates the "natural" aesthetics of their chosen car whatever that may be. It's borderline amazing the power and times people are getting out of 4bangers these days. Now, if you could just make them not sound like a pissed off weed whacker with a chronic cough... Based on sound alone, I would take a 350hp 13.5 second american v8 over that car every day. That being said, that civic is a beast and I hope he hits his high to mid 7's. Go fast, keep it straight and be safe!

Ryan is a bad ass for sure. I have a 03 Evo 8 that he built the engine in it for the previous owner. Currently has a Precision DBB 6262 the car made 666whp on AG AutoSports dyno and flat 600whp 6-8800rpm on 5150Racing's mustang in SoCal. Very solid build of an engine by Ryan, definitely looking forward to changing the turbo for a 6766 or 6875.

For 960HP, the way it looks is "sleeper" enough IMHO. Sure, hood exit and all the other things, but I still wouldn't expect almost 1000 HP from that thing at first glance. That's just me though 🤷🏽♂️
