It’s sad to hear Papercut without Chester, but you can tell Mike gets into it much more than the other songs. He seems more energetic, like watching an LP show. I feel that that itself honors Chester more than him doing the song.
Mike is a true genius. With every show he plays he gets a little bit better. His voice improves and he is so passionate about what he’s doing. In my opinion this was his best Papercut performance so far. That was a whole new level of dedication.
Listening to Running From My Shadow with Phoenix's live bass sounded f-ing amazing. So great to see and hear him. I wanted the other guys there. I love the solo work, but I'm starting to think Mike could carry LP in a new direction that ROCKS. Having the audience sing in parts works. LP forever. Even Chester said Mike's singing chops were now solid and joked he was glad he had job security. It's not Chester's voice, but who would Chester pick to front the band? Mike. Mike's gotta know that. #makechesterproud
The problem lies in songs with Chester's high notes/screams. Mike can't sing those even if he wanted to. Even the parts in Post Traumatic where it was required of him to sing high notes, he struggled with it. They can't just let go of some of their most popular songs. Also they can't get a replacement to do it for them simply because there is no one even remotely close to Chester. Sometimes bands get a like to like replacement, like AC/DC got in Brian Johnson when Bon Scott died, other times they don't. No matter how optimistic I try to be, I can't think of a solution to this and it's clear that after more than a year, neither can Mike.
I lost it during papercut. how I've missed that voice, god. & mike blowing a kiss at the sky straight up wrecked me @ 35:15 (thank you so much for sharing this - I missed the live feed)
i love this guy, not just for maintaining lp and chester's legacy alive, but mostly for being so positive and uplifting even after everything he has been through. mike's an icon and someone to look up to.
I love this guy so much it makes my heart ache. Also, much love to “J.” Was anybody else surprised he didn’t just come out and say who he was talking about with that coming out story? I feel like people who don’t know much about him (and don’t read the album liner notes) will think he was talking about a band mate. By the way, he was not talking about a band mate.
At first I thought he was talking about his brother "Jason "? He calls him Jay for short. But idk then he said he changed the name🤔🤔 but tbh, I don't really care to find out either
I just see this video now and its really disappointing how quiet the crowd was during in the end. Most of them were either staring at the ground or talking to each other not paying attention whatsoever. They were so dead that Mike had to start singing Chester's part. Im very angry right now about how disrespectful they were.
When we sang in the end this overwhelming sadness hit me like a truck and i could barly sing and i could swere i felt chesters presence it was so sad i cried
Jozé so bc they r deaf u assume they cant access that area? U do realize she is there particularly for the deaf which means the deaf are in that area. And just bc they are deaf doesnt mean they dont enjoy music the closer they r to stage, the more they feel. Stop judging.
Anirudh Srivastava Not all people are deaf, some are hearing impaired. Also, deaf people can feel the music instead of hear it. (There is a girl at got talent who did that and explained how it works).
I can see that everything about his shows is improving, he's more confident 'bout the singing, and the crowd(yea it was kinda dead) Are more active(he had much worse crowds
im big fan for 15 years of LP and never seen that shit in live.............. But i want see mike shinoda, chester is with him, no physically but he is here
It was because it wasn't Mike's show but a festival with several artists. Not all people in audience came there because of Mike. I guess, some of them even haven't heard about his new album. Mike's and LP fans were right near the stage - singing and dancing 😊
I live in Utah and know every word to every song of post traumatic and every single linkin Park song and I DIDNT EVEN KNOW HE WAS HERE PLAYING THIS SHOW LAST NIGHT 💔💔💔💔
Hmm based on this fact i can make an analysis: After 1 year since the day, 1 LP member perform with mike on stage. So in order for full LP to make a comeback, joe+brad+rob=3 more years, so they will reunite again by 2021. You’re welcome.
You see what i did there I like your logic but Joe has performed with Mike at a show already. So just Brad and Rob to go. That's if we're not including the 'Celebrate Life' concert back in October. 😉

Alice in Chains managed to overcome the loss of the greatest vocals in history with a single, unmistakable voice, as well as that of Chester I think Mike could have a conversation with Jerry in time and not in a hurry to find someone competent to play the band along with him
Mike is very talented person
Mike is " just" a GENIOUS !!!
🙏
This was so amazing. It's such a shame the crowd didn't seem to be into it much. I bet half of them didn't even know how much of a genius Mike is.
GameElite ikr if i was there i would be losing my shit
We know Mike's a genius. It was just super hot, like high 90's in the afternoon. Too hot to really get hyped.
For a festival I think the reception was pretty good. Especially at make it up as I go
I'd be going mad too. I'd love to meet Mike in person.
I was there and i was screaming my guts off!! I even dressed up as the big puppet. I went down from san Francisco and had the sign.
I think Mike almost crying at 26:33. This is so sad. In The End is the hardest part of every concert for Mike :c

Mike Shinoda was straight the life of the whole concert, he was spectacular. I'm definitely going to see him live again!!!

Heather Levy Rest In Peace Linkin Park
Dave was actually playing Mike’s guitar, it wasn’t even a bass and he still killed it!
I meant to write guitar! I'm a dork. He did kill it. All those guys are so amazing at everything they do!
Heather Levy amen man..LP since 11 years old

Mike did pretty good though. Chester will always be with us.
Yes Rest In Peace Linkin Park
But you can see how much more into it he gets than the other songs. That’s his legacy
+Jagerbaumbastic but the reality is that Linkin park is officially dead
I think this album is actually his best work, it's just a real shame that it had to come from such a sad time!
I lost it during papercut. how I've missed that voice, god. & mike blowing a kiss at the sky straight up wrecked me @ 35:15
(thank you so much for sharing this - I missed the live feed)
ren You're very welcome! Papercut was my favourite too and his kiss to the sky got me too. 😊

It's crazy to think how much different it is without Chester. But still it's cool to see how much talent Mike has. Amazing performance!!
He need a band , its not possibile sing and play at the same time unless u r Mike shinoda , holy molly
I love mike and linkinpark has a special place in my heart
Crystal Johnson Rest in Peace Linkin park gone forever but never forgotten
i love this guy, not just for maintaining lp and chester's legacy alive, but mostly for being so positive and uplifting even after everything he has been through. mike's an icon and someone to look up to.

I love this guy so much it makes my heart ache. Also, much love to “J.” Was anybody else surprised he didn’t just come out and say who he was talking about with that coming out story? When we sang in the end this overwhelming sadness hit me like a truck and i could barly sing and i could swere i felt chesters presence it was so sad i cried
31:30 most genuine “over again” performance
Do you feel that emotions from Mike? I’m crying...love you. #makechesterproud
I really love the fact there is a lady on the right hand side infront of the stage signing everything for people with hearing disabillities.!
Lisa H i don't like that it's very distracting if there's deaf people I don't think they will be at front row is so hard to get a spot in there.
Jozé so bc they r deaf u assume they cant access that area? U do realize she is there particularly for the deaf which means the deaf are in that area. And just bc they are deaf doesnt mean they dont enjoy music the closer they r to stage, the more they feel. Stop judging.
Look I'm all in for having a sign language expert there but why would deaf people come to a music concert anyway?
Anirudh Srivastava Not all people are deaf, some are hearing impaired. Also, deaf people can feel the music instead of hear it. (There is a girl at got talent who did that and explained how it works).
The thought of hearing impaired people being there never came to my mind. I do realize the comment might've come across as ignorant or dumb now haha.
Mike is my fucking idol I love him so much
Thanks for the upload buddy ✌🏻
Awh, he choked up during Roads untraveled.
Mike Shinoda comes across, better than any other musician out there. Seems like the nicest most genuine guy.
I was there and he was amazing
Mike Shinoda is so cool
This girl is so cute

OMG!!! Thank you so very much for this upload!
I just checked my computer setting at 08:03 ...
Kinman Simon Yeah, that was a bad time to mess around with my phone when it was plugged in. My bad! 😂
I can see that everything about his shows is improving, he's more confident 'bout the singing, and the crowd(yea it was kinda dead) Are more active(he had much worse crowds
crowd's fucking dead. Mike is a Legend!
ça me fait quelque chose... J'adore! Chester manque et pourtant il est présent, je le sens...

Mike is great as always, but crowd is dead. Sad.
It was because it wasn't Mike's show but a festival with several artists. Not all people in audience came there because of Mike. I guess, some of them even haven't heard about his new album.
Mike's and LP fans were right near the stage - singing and dancing 😊
Yeah, you're right. :)

Я просто охерел на песне In The End, когда толпа начала петь за Честера. Мурашки по всему телу. Это невероятно.
Hmm based on this fact i can make an analysis:

Actually dave is the second one of the guys to go on stage with Mike. Check out Mike at IDENTITY! JOE, goes on stage with Mike.
Few years off! But they're back ❤
Thanks 4 uploading
I think a piano covers of 'in the end' with Mike singing would be a hell of a song, but it would probably be so difficult for him to do.
Please come back home.....
