It's called a song, the instruments are meant to occompany the vocals, not over power it. Their style is this way. Not the type that the vocals are secondary like a lot of doom metal nowadays

Doesn't matter if it's perfect singing. it's perfect for green lung. It's a band. Not to mention. It's very common for singing in live performances to be absolutely awful these days. So often bands can't come close to reproducing whatever is they did in the studio. With green Lung they perform flawlessly, although, stripped down, because I don't think they use any backing tracks and they don't have any backing musicians.
It's honest, in your face, just like the Prince of Darkness Ozzy and the generations of other singers and musicians that spawned from Sabbath. Like Sleep, Cathedral and Sheavy, three good examples where the singers aren't trained or refined. But they have that something, it comes from the gut and the heart. It's all about the feeling, singing on top following the riff and the staying in the groove.
I hope this band considers a new singer in the future. Vocals show struggles and a bit whiney for a much too powerful doom n gloom sound. The music is fantastic but also got tired of hearing every song talk about Lucifer and hocus pokus demons in leaves.
