mechs totally need a melee and a self destruct, that'd be awesome.
They have a melee. It's like a stomp attack, but at the moment it's kinda buggy and sometimes (even if it's a fresh mech) you can't do it. Just know that you're able to run over smaller bugs and bots so you might as well just run those over and use your ammo for more important targets.

@@l1zrdking Нет проблем. Oh and I just heard it’s the mission stratagem mech that’re unable to melee. So if you unlock the mechs it should work every time.

for the fabricators, you can also throw the grenade or shoot the Exosuit rocket in the door while the door is open and the Automatons are exiting it.

So if you have Impact grenades on and you're fighting bots, I'd recommend tossing your nades on the door rather than the vents, you might have to deal with 2 or 3 bots that walk out but at least you won't waste more than one nade trying to hit the fabricator

The explosions in this game sound so powerful. it has that THUMP! that i love with explosions.
I’m always amazed by the sound too haha, some of those base explosions (especially against the robots) are SO HUGE. Visually they blow me away too, they can reach so high into the sky, and span like, the whole horizon haha

The point you made in the beginning was my point. My answer to people's crying about railguns was " were are getting mechs!"
It's a "skill issue". Although having to charge the rail gun to the point of exploding to do what it did before.... that is a bit much. Most will probably blow themselves up.
@@jaywerner8415 Skill issue exactly, too many farmers crutching on the railgun, seemed too easy/no point in running anything else before. Now has a better risk-reward gameplay.

@@tommelling9847 yeah. The state of the railgun forced you to use it and that is exactly what balance patches are for. You should not feel obligated to use one specific weapon in every single scenario because that is what kills variety and fun. It's like having ha shitty XP farming spot in an MMO where you do nothing but wait for 10 minutes until a specific mob spawns and then oneshot it. No one has fun but everyone does it because you get XP 10 times faster than with normal fun gameplay. That's what patches are for and they did a good job leveling the ground on the support weapons

I think the punisher shotgun is criminally underrated. To be able to reload per round in between shots allows you to keep up the fight without having to run away to reload and conserves ammo. Slower rate or fire for sure but it's balanced out with superior damage. A skilled Helldiver is a damn surgeon with the punisher shotgun.

The second I drop one of those exosuits I'm putting on the Tundra combat theme from Mechassault. It's just too perfect
I feel like this game could have SO many other types or styles of games built into it over time haha. Even strategy game style, could have some gameplay where you direct forces from orbit, top down view… maybe while allies on the ground battle too, that would be wild, as they expand the number of players

hahaha!!! at 20:35 I thought you called in the airstrike so fast that my eyes didn't catch the arrows, I made sure with slow motion, and yet couldn't see it, I googled how to call in airstrike with just a marker, and nothing... so 20 minutes later, while starting to feel like a SuperBeginner I noticed the blue guy calling it earlier and the laser just happened to land at the same time as your marker hahaha!!! XD
13:10 It feels weird to see the mech suddenly blowing up in these sorts of situations. I know that the smoke surrounding it is an indicator to jump ship. But in the first game, unless your entire mech was crushed by something, you would have an animation of it stopping to function and catching on fire. Leaving you just enough time to exit before it explodes.
The sudden explosion is slightly jarring to me and partially removes the feeling of safety of being in a mech, in my opinion. Not a big concern by any mean, but I wonder if others might feel that way too.

I've been waiting for a game like this for many years, to be honest, we've all been waiting for something like this. if they try to keep this game alive with nice logical updates, it can even become a cult in its field that will be played for many years...
The mechs are good evidence that they're going serious with the roleplaying.

Might be a bit late and you may have figured this out already, but Mechs can Meele, was shocked when I figured it out, more of a "Stomp" attack, but useful if you're being overwhelmed by smaller enemies (02:08)!
Those mechs are awesome! I wonder if they're adding an overwatch mode later down the line? It'd be great for when you have to vacate the mech and grenade a fabricator. Essentially just a massive automated turret emplacement... 😁
We had tanks and APCs in the first game as well, I think at some point we will see them in this one too.

the drop ships at 10:07 blow up if you shoot the engine once, atleast thats the case with expendable AT and recoilless, im not 100% sure how many mech rockets it takes. i would assume also just one

You can melee in mechs. I saw someone demonstrate on a charger. Don't know how though.

Curious if Mechs will require an upgrade in the ship to get... or maybe an upgradeable one with different weapon options like two rocket pods or two gatlings or even less armor to make it a bit faster...
Looks like if you get killed in the mech your ammo auto replenishes upon recall. I noticed your ammo was at max when you recalled it.
You can escape bait chargers with your mech when the ammo is all out. They get stunned and can kill themselves if you hop out last second.
This is a person who understands that this game isn't all about shooting every enemy you see. Funny how he isn't getting swarmed and overwhelmed...
You can melee in the mech. But it’s a stomp like the scout striders do when you’re close to them on foot.
My brand new mech got one-shot destroyed by my squaddie's guarddog laser beam. Normally that thing has to beam the critters (smallest bugs)for 250 ms to take it down but when it comes to friendly fire, a 100ms long beam on the back door of the mech can be enough...
I dunno if its bugs, but my mechs have been randomly exploding on terminid levels, and basically anytime useless team mates are around.

they are quite fun a powerfull. i just wish we could see the mechs health bar when we enter it. because i have blown up so many times due to not being able to see the thing is smoking lol
I think mele is maybe bugged? I played one match with a mech and it would stomp when i pressed F but the next game it only worked once and then wouldnt do it anymore
So is there a level cap system in this game ( I don’t have any console atm 😢)

I hope we can buy upgrades for the mechs. a little later booster would be awesome and a re arm system of some sort, should also have an AI version where you can use it like titan fall and have it fight when you are out of it.

Im loving the game, its loads of fun. I just wish i could play with everything on max settings, your footage looks gorgeous!!! In 1440p medium settings it looks kinda foggy 🥲

For those of you that don't know Hell Divers is nothing more than Lost Planet with a different main character. These angry grasshoppers are the same exact creatures you had to fight all 3 games. You had more access with the mechs you got to take off guns parts and use them and swap out gun parts.
I feel they gotta increase the duration of overload for the Railgun because the Anti-Material Rifle fricken owns.
Why at 8:00 minutes in did the timer cut 10 seconds off? Is this not all straight gameplay? Its spliced videos to seem as 1?
My one issue is EXOs being... way squisher than they should be. I mean, I get it, you gotta be careful at all times.
But come on. A small breeze blows it up.
I wish at least those mechs would drop like in Titanfall. Of course in Helldivers manner, in big metal bullet opening after impact. Maybe they thought it would be too op. And probably that's how all other vehicles will get delivered, so they made it consistent. But titanfall tho man, that would be so epic every time!

Guhh this game is so good. Out of nowhere honestly. I played a lot of hell divers. So I was kinda turned off when I saw launch trailers for this because it was so different. So it releases and man… it is everything I wanted in a video game with guns and war. It is amazing.
Would love to see a stealth run. As much as possible lol

Something ive noticed is that at 8 and 9, the mechs really dont do much in terms of thinning numbers.
Mechanics are terminid killers but are fodder on the terminator side.
U can destroy Fabricators if u shoot the open door ( explosive ) or even with impact grenade , just dont hit the robot that comes out !

Maybe campaign for the ability to restock your mech at a resupply dump? Just feel like 15 rockets and 800rnds isnt enough to do a quarter of a mission 😅

they should add loadouts to mechs, so you can go full 40k warhammer dreadnought
There is a keybind for melee on the mech its F by default I think, it does a stomping animation

Helldivers 1 players know that when the mech runs out of ammo you just run around stomping on people until it blows up,, which is a free bomb.
They are powerful but they are glass cannons against automatons tanks and hulks 😂
Maybe the Dev's should get the rights to make a MechWarrior game....this looks insane!
Honestly those slugs should at least be able to one-shot the chainsaw guys.
Most guns need to be buffed.
They can if you land the headshot, it's just a bit tricky.
