They have a melee. It's like a stomp attack, but at the moment it's kinda buggy and sometimes (even if it's a fresh mech) you can't do it. Just know that you're able to run over smaller bugs and bots so you might as well just run those over and use your ammo for more important targets.

So if you have Impact grenades on and you're fighting bots, I'd recommend tossing your nades on the door rather than the vents, you might have to deal with 2 or 3 bots that walk out but at least you won't waste more than one nade trying to hit the fabricator
13:10 It feels weird to see the mech suddenly blowing up in these sorts of situations. I know that the smoke surrounding it is an indicator to jump ship. But in the first game, unless your entire mech was crushed by something, you would have an animation of it stopping to function and catching on fire. Leaving you just enough time to exit before it explodes. The sudden explosion is slightly jarring to me and partially removes the feeling of safety of being in a mech, in my opinion. Not a big concern by any mean, but I wonder if others might feel that way too.
It's a "skill issue". Although having to charge the rail gun to the point of exploding to do what it did before.... that is a bit much. Most will probably blow themselves up.

You should not feel obligated to use one specific weapon in every single scenario because that is what kills variety and fun. It's like having ha shitty XP farming spot in an MMO where you do nothing but wait for 10 minutes until a specific mob spawns and then oneshot it. No one has fun but everyone does it because you get XP 10 times faster than with normal fun gameplay. That's what patches are for and they did a good job leveling the ground on the support weapons
I’m always amazed by the sound too haha, some of those base explosions (especially against the robots) are SO HUGE. Visually they blow me away too, they can reach so high into the sky, and span like, the whole horizon haha
I think the punisher shotgun is criminally underrated. To be able to reload per round in between shots allows you to keep up the fight without having to run away to reload and conserves ammo. Slower rate or fire for sure but it's balanced out with superior damage. A skilled Helldiver is a damn surgeon with the punisher shotgun.
I feel like this game could have SO many other types or styles of games built into it over time haha. Even strategy game style, could have some gameplay where you direct forces from orbit, top down view… maybe while allies on the ground battle too, that would be wild, as they expand the number of players

the drop ships at 10:07 blow up if you shoot the engine once, atleast thats the case with expendable AT and recoilless, im not 100% sure how many mech rockets it takes. i would assume also just one
For those of you that don't know Hell Divers is nothing more than Lost Planet with a different main character. These angry grasshoppers are the same exact creatures you had to fight all 3 games. You had more access with the mechs you got to take off guns parts and use them and swap out gun parts.
My brand new mech got one-shot destroyed by my squaddie's guarddog laser beam. Normally that thing has to beam the critters (smallest bugs)for 250 ms to take it down but when it comes to friendly fire, a 100ms long beam on the back door of the mech can be enough...
Those mechs are awesome! I wonder if they're adding an overwatch mode later down the line? It'd be great for when you have to vacate the mech and grenade a fabricator. Essentially just a massive automated turret emplacement... 😁
Curious if Mechs will require an upgrade in the ship to get... or maybe an upgradeable one with different weapon options like two rocket pods or two gatlings or even less armor to make it a bit faster...
I wish at least those mechs would drop like in Titanfall. Of course in Helldivers manner, in big metal bullet opening after impact. Maybe they thought it would be too op. And probably that's how all other vehicles will get delivered, so they made it consistent. But titanfall tho man, that would be so epic every time!
Guhh this game is so good. Out of nowhere honestly. I played a lot of hell divers. So I was kinda turned off when I saw launch trailers for this because it was so different. So it releases and man… it is everything I wanted in a video game with guns and war. It is amazing.
I hope we can buy upgrades for the mechs. a little later booster would be awesome and a re arm system of some sort, should also have an AI version where you can use it like titan fall and have it fight when you are out of it.
High level players, maxed gear, coordinated mic play: Barely escaped without samples and no revives after using every mech at their disposal…on Tier 7 of 9. I hope to god devs and players don’t look at a small slice of gameplay where for a few brief glorious moments mechs appeared to ‘trivialize the content’ and freak out and do anything rash. This looks like nicely balanced gameplay with a chance of fun, glory power and risk in nice balance. I know my small gaming group will never make it past tier 5 at our age, skill and time allottment level. I’d hate to see the difficulties and content we can play made more difficult for our humble selves.
Has anyone gotten a hold of the road map for this game over the next few years? It seems like they have tons of stuff they want to add to this game over time.
Im loving the game, its loads of fun. I just wish i could play with everything on max settings, your footage looks gorgeous!!! In 1440p medium settings it looks kinda foggy 🥲
Enjoy the game a ton.. still my main gripe are the insanely weak call-ins/guns not being buffed in any way of use... plus the heavy spam is getting very annoying as THIS alone limits any hope of options higher up.... with reducing heavy spam and compensating with larger hordes of mediums/smalls a few call-ins/guns would have a bit of use though they'd still require buffs. With less heavy spam in mind just for guns few off the top of my head, keep in mind these level of buffs ARE NOT huge though enough mixed with less heavy spam to make these a viable pick without legit trolling your team. (I'm no meta slave either yet I hardly play Helldive ATM as it's just not fun I tend to stick around 4-7) AR-23 Liberator, +10 damage, +10 mag size, 2 extra mags in reserve AR-23P Liberator Penetrator, +5 damage, +15 mag size P-2 Peacemaker, +10 damage, give medium armor pen OR a slightly quicker reload with 6 extra mags P-4 Senator, +50 damage, give medium armor pen, slight speed increase for reload SG-225 Breaker, +80 damage, increase mag size by 7, massively increase pellet spread so this is the up in your face shotty with zero use beyond that so around 15 meters or some shit. APW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle, 2X damage, give medium armor pen, 3 extra mags in reserve, also add a hyper pen round that does 2X of the new base damage and can punch through ANY armor tier if the unit is under 50 meters away, you only get 1 of these hyper pen rounds per ammo pack with 1 being the maximum in reserve to, slight trade off is this dumps any ammo in the mag you have currently to use this hyper shot. MG-43 Machine Gun, +15 damage, armor stripping on concentrated fire, such as stripping a chargers leg armor after 30 rounds of focus fire at under 50 meters. (scale to tier of enemy) Stuff like that, tbh I could spend a couple hours and come up with a massive change list that'll make stuff USEABLE at 7+ difficulty without it being "OP" most stuff needs small buffs in damage/ammo to be a viable option to deal with smalls (that should be in much higher numbers than the heavy spams that currently take place)... end of the day 7+ should be hard to do... and I want to keep it like that WITH options I can take that are of use and not objectively worse at EVERYTHING than the current "meta"... now meta will always be a thing one must make options available that are close to the "meta" without being outright stupid making the upper end difficulties a cake walk.. Heavy units SHOULD be hard to take down though in much lesser numbers so we can have options that deal with them reasonably... or less punchy options that are good flexes such as the Auto-cannon... that is a great example of a fair call-in... it's useable vs heavies yet NOT ideal... though it's solid at dealing with mediums however being a bit of a waste on the smalls yet one can still blow the ammo on them either way.
My one issue is EXOs being... way squisher than they should be. I mean, I get it, you gotta be careful at all times. But come on. A small breeze blows it up.
Maybe campaign for the ability to restock your mech at a resupply dump? Just feel like 15 rockets and 800rnds isnt enough to do a quarter of a mission 😅

Huh? They 2 shot kill Bile Titans in the face and 1 shot to the leg of a charger plus a follow up burst of the gatling gun will kill them in just a few seconds... They are the most efficient way of dealing with both enemy types right now!
EXO-44 Walker is just as good as it was in Helldivers, except more that it has more rockets now and (I think) less minigun ammo. Nothing unexpected there, mechs are still a thing that makes everything easier for some time, as they always were. Is it worth a stratagem slot? Heck yea, especially when now thats two mechs at cost of one stratagem, not that cool on bots tho, but if it will get more armor against rockets it will be completely worth this stratagem slot. And minigun on LMB is so god damn unusual, just why. I mean, logic, minigun is on left side, but man its uncomfortable. And walking/strafing is so weird
they are quite fun a powerfull. i just wish we could see the mechs health bar when we enter it. because i have blown up so many times due to not being able to see the thing is smoking lol

Why at 8:00 minutes in did the timer cut 10 seconds off? Is this not all straight gameplay? Its spliced videos to seem as 1?

I dunno if its bugs, but my mechs have been randomly exploding on terminid levels, and basically anytime useless team mates are around.
You can escape bait chargers with your mech when the ammo is all out. They get stunned and can kill themselves if you hop out last second.

Helldivers 1 players know that when the mech runs out of ammo you just run around stomping on people until it blows up,, which is a free bomb.
You can also explode the fabricator by shooting into the open door

U can destroy Fabricators if u shoot the open door ( explosive ) or even with impact grenade , just dont hit the robot that comes out !

0:05 "These things are even more powerful than we ever thought they would be" dead wrong and quite frankly they suck pretty bad. Only useful part is the guns the armor for the thing is abismal and the whole thing is just generally buggy.
Huh? They 2 shot kill Bile Titans in the face and 1 shot to the leg of a charger plus a follow up burst of the gatling gun will kill them in just a few seconds... They are the most efficient way of dealing with both enemy types right now!
Does anyone else wonder what them blue screens are facing the armoury? Do you think they will be used for anything?
EXO-44 Walker is just as good as it was in Helldivers, except more that it has more rockets now and (I think) less minigun ammo. Nothing unexpected there, mechs are still a thing that makes everything easier for some time, as they always were. Is it worth a stratagem slot? Heck yea, especially when now thats two mechs at cost of one stratagem, not that cool on bots tho, but if it will get more armor against rockets it will be completely worth this stratagem slot.
And minigun on LMB is so god damn unusual, just why. I mean, logic, minigun is on left side, but man its uncomfortable. And walking/strafing is so weird

they are quite fun a powerfull. i just wish we could see the mechs health bar when we enter it. because i have blown up so many times due to not being able to see the thing is smoking lol
