What a coincidence you and Mick Foley share the same birthday. Mick had one hell of a career. 3x WWE champ, former Hardcore champ, 8x tag team champion, WWE Hall of Famer, etc.
Happy birthday James,Allen Iverson and Mick Foley salute to greatness! My birthday was yesterday along with Drew McIntyre and Robert Englund just to name a few.
Mick has put over a lot of people to help get them to superstar status....crazy how mick was Austin, Rock and HHH first opponent during their 1st world championship title runs
Happy birthday James also I remember when mick Foley debut as mankind in 1996 he scared me as a kid, but the character was different from what was going on at the time and he took off and we had his amazing wwf career
Happy Birthday James and Happy Birthday Mick Foley, my favorite face of Foley is Mankind. Favorite match of Mankind - King of the Ring 1998 vs Undertaker Dude Love - Over the Edge 1998 vs Stone Cold Cactus Jack - Royal Rumble 2000 vs Triple H
My top 3 favorite Foley matches in his WWF tenure? 1) vs Triple H in a street fight at the 2000 royal rumble. 2) vs Orton at backlash 2004. 3) Hell in a cell vs taker at the '98 KOTR. One of my favorite moments Foley had was when Rock shoot accidentally knocked his sunglasses off while doing his schtick, embarrassed, and broke char to thank Foley for retrieving his sunglasses. That and when Foley ribbed Rock when he baited Rock into his "it doesn't matter" spheal (I wanna say it was during his time as commisioner? [I was about 33 minutes into the vid when I thought of this]). My favorite face of Foley is early Mankind because of how unnerving he was relatively to stuff prior in the WWF, especially with his promos.
Mick Foley is willing to elevate others and make them look good, even if his body is gonna be hurt beyond recognition (just ask Rock, Helmsley, Orton and Edge) As for my favorite matches featuring Mick Foley (I’ll go for top five) 1. Mankind vs Undertaker (KotR 98)- Foley gets to have a career defining moment, even if it involves him getting tossed like a rag doll. 2. Mick Foley vs Edge (WrestleMania 22)- Foley finally gets an unforgettable WrestleMania moment after his previous WrestleMania appearances are sub par and semi-decent…at the expense of his body (again!) 3. Mick Foley vs Randy Orton (Backlash 2004)- this match is Randy Orton’s baptismal by fire and Orton took his beating like a man and Foley gave Orton a big time boost even if Foley’s body is gonna be hurt. 4. Cactus Jack vs Triple H (Royal Rumble 2000)- we all know that Triple H is a mega heel and he’s on the verge of making his way to the next level and Mick Foley is gonna step up to elevate Helmsley and make him look like a million bucks. 5. Mankind vs The Rock (WWE Raw, 1/4/99)- after years of working hard and paying his dues (that includes his body getting beaten beyond recognition), Mick Foley wins the biggest prize in the WWE and it is a feel good moment for guys like Foley who are deemed “not fit for prime time”…despite the fact that WCW decided to ruin the moment by letting the world know that the win already happened last year!
Russo has confirmed the triple threat rumors for Mania 15. And that HBK was the guy who got in Austin’s ear, then Austin went to Vince and Mick was out of the match. Looking back, and knowing what happened a year later, I think it would’ve made sense for it to be a triple threat match.
I’ll choose Mankind because he’s a tortured soul, a character who has the vibe that says “Society has shunned me because I look like a monster, so guess what? I’ll make them pay for treating me like crap!”
Favorite matches one of all 3 faces 1. Mankind- Mankind vs the rock he won his first wwf heavyweight championship match 2. Dude love- dude love vs stone cold steve Austin unforgiven 98 3. Cactus jack- cactus jack vs triple h 2000 royal rumble street fight James I know there was a lot of great matches but I choose one of all three faces
For me; all 3 faces Mankind: vs. Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell at King Of The Ring 1998 Dude Love: vs. Steve Austin for the WWF Championship at Over The Edge In Your House Cactus Jack: vs. Triple H in a Street Fight for the WWF Championship at Royal Rumble 2000
Question- What was the highest rated Raw Segment Views between Rock Mankind This is your Life or Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Undertaker World Title Match.
Questions 1. Did you think mick Foley was gonna be thrown off that hell in a cell. 2. James how would mankind would have been if he won king of the ring in 1997 3. James who was a better partner for mankind the rock or stone cold steve Austin 4. 1998 royal rumble how did Foley pull off bringing in all 3 faces of Foley 5. Which match would you say was brutality the hell in a cell king of the ring 1998 or the street fight the royal rumble 1999 6. What do you grade mick Foley as commissioner.

Is that college thesis on the Over The Edge ‘98 Austin/Foley match true and if it is, I’m hoping they put it online so I and others can read it.

Rock & Foley are the rare duo that had great chemistry as opponents AND as tag team partners
Mick Foley is willing to elevate others and make them look good, even if his body is gonna be hurt beyond recognition (just ask Rock, Helmsley, Orton and Edge)

Cactus Jack: vs. Triple H in a Street Fight for the WWF Championship at Royal Rumble 2000

His match against Undertaker as Mankind or his match against Triple-H as Cactus Jack.
The Undertaker one
Mick Foley is an underrated draw in Wrestling
