All ground units are led by knights: the leftmost column of a division template may only contain cavalry and all artillery and anti-air must be towed by horses. No column may exceed the amouny of cavalry units in the template, and the knights do not trust tanks, so these are relegated to the reserves (rightmost column only!). Planes are optional depending on whether you think that's too much, but no paratroopers, you must use your navy to take on the British! This is relevant because your end goal is to rule the Atlantic and return the Americas to the rule of the country that first claimed them, and humiliate the British while you're at it! Mainland Europe is entirely optional, as long as they do not oppose your complete and utter dominance over the Atlantic.
Fun fact: if you haven't completed focuses "Undermine the Duce" and "conspiracies in the Shadows" they will give you the Pope's power later, because they always moves the national balnce of power to the left
When doing the pope route don't take undermine the duce or conspiracies in shadows because once you choose the pope those focuses update and they shift the balance of power towards the pope so you don't have to wait a extra year
I think Germany didn’t join the war against Bulgaria and Hungary because Paradox tweaking the AI recently made it far less likely for enemy AI nations to join wars when they have a border with the enemy and not many divisions to man the border

And, since I'm not aligned, I can't declare war on my own until 50% world tension. Entire run fucked up because yugoslavia felt a bit french there XD Little edit: btw if you research the amphibious tank chassis you can use marines too
