6661joshua In a way you are right. Look, I play both electrical (blues, rock etc) and also classical guitar, of course not even close to the level of this kid. One thing is for sure, master the classical guitar is way way more complicated than the electrical guitar, it requires literally thousands of hours of dedication, not so if you want to be a good blues guitarrist
thats becuz you guys dont make things, just reproduce, and when you guys try to make music its a piece of crap. So stick to the real classical players while we make the real modern deal ;)
Nah, she ain't. She's pretty good, but nothing beyond that. Pretty shallow interpretation. She doesn't give it a romantic alla Liszt/Mendelssohn interpretation nor a Segovia-like purity achievement. She just play all the right notes in a good tempo. Nothing says best than the last 20 seconds of this video. Just bland, bland music. She never goes for a virtuoso-like feeling. But she's pretty good, I won't deny that.
***** Hey, look at there, check this out, man! Do you see that too? There's like a piece of cloth there... Is she blindfolded, or something? OH YEAH! DUMBASS.
I have collected recordings of variations and transcriptions of Paganini's 24th caprice since before I attended college (for more than 40 years). I have versions played on a tuba, a glass harmonica, drums, and even washboards and saws. I participated in the recording of a new-age, jazz version for a musical project at Cornell University. This performance on acoustic guitar is-without doubt-the most talented, pleasing and moving rendition that I have experienced. It is also remarkably faithful to the original violin composition. Considering the technical complexity of matching the many violin techniques and sounds on a guitar, it's clear that this artist is gifted beyond any words that I can find to praise her performance. Viewing and listening to this UA-cam video is very uplifting. It is truly a great thrill. Thank you, Li Jie. You light up my life. You are amazing!
Talented beyond recognition, for sure. Uplifting - no. It is impossible to be uplifted when one is steeped in unfathomable jelousy at a.. 14 year-old who has attained what I never will and what people who have studies the instrument for decades never will either.
Rom Rom if you can play this song doesnt mean a thing, if you ask her to play Steve vai..it will be a hard, al di meola? another fail,..paco de lucia and his intricate moved...fail. when i learned to play fast and intracate passages i thought i knew it all..but i couldnt be more wrong. peace!
This young lady outclasses most of the guitarists I have heard here in You Tube. She has a distinct technique and clarity in every single tone she brings up. I played capriccio 24 myself on both guitar and violin a couple of years ago. In several of the variations and especially the one with thirds and decimas as many otherwise simplify , Jie Li manages gallantly.
I have always admired this performance since 2009 , I actually quited from playing to enjoy such master pieces as this sample. My most sincere congratulations for Li Jie
I don't know why people would discredit her talent because of her ethnicity... Yea she's Asian and she has probably practiced loads but so do other musicians?
Who are the insecure 559 wannabes that down voted this. Li Jie at 13 and I still can't get her feel after 20 years. Incredible, masterful, go home cry babies.
W O W! You play so wonderfully that you can wake the dead up with your music. Your playing fills me up with so much peace and love. You are absolutely fabulous. Thank you for all the wonderful feelings and sensations you create with your instrument. Bravo. Bravo. I hope to be hearing more from you soon as I believe that also your whole audience does too. Bye for now.
every now and then I keep coming back to this video ... this must be my 40th - 45th time watching this. thank you for keeping this video around! this is truly a treat for the ears and eyes.
Li Jie is probably the best guitarist that plays this "thing", that is a very masterpiece, in the essence. All the deaf that missed the like button are also deathbrains... just look the flames that raise on her fingers, no words.
One of the most soulfull versions of this piece i ever see on a classical guitar. I am a heavy metal guitar player and know how challenging this piece is, i start working on it 3 months ago, but other than the most metalists, i try to play it clean, because distortion kills all the delicate parts. I watch this movie nearly one time a day, its wonderful how she play that.
George Dounos hahah nobody who actually plays violin would say that... If you try to play this peace on a violin, you will laugh at your own comment m8.
Guglielmo Vetere Its a joke XD i mean this is amazing talent no denying that. But I play violin bass and classical/electric guitar and this makes me lol so hard. Guitar in general is sooo much easier to play than violin. And this peace is one of the hardest to play very clean on violin, requires sooo much echnique of especially left hand but also bowing technique.
Listen, it's cool if you don't know the guitarist's name and therefore refers to him as "unknown", however it's not cool to refers to him as "asian". By doing so you suggest there are differences in the capabilites between lets say europeans and asians, which everyone who's researched it will deny. Just try to imagine if he was european, would you have put that in the description?
Mere Eraso He is from Sweden. What do you expect? Sweden is the new Africa and the most liberal country in the world. They don't even use "he" or "she" anymore. People are all "it" in Sweden. The social constructs have really destroyed them.
Wow. It's not often people admit to intentionally having chosen words with racist underlinings, but you just had to go all out, didn't you? Enjoy your small collective illusion of power for as long as you can. I mean it. Because you'll soon find things crumbling around you.
This is the MOST INCREDIBLE GUITAR PLAYING I have ever seen or heard in ALL of my 45 years! What technical prowess...and talent. Just unbelievable. Period . END of Story. I believe this is what Randy Rhoads could have ended up playing, if he had lived, he LOVED classical guitar.
his fingers are so flexible, running back and forth on the fingerboard, and producing an outstanding sound....I hope that when I finally master this song on the guitar as well, it will be as good as this!
That entire palm mute section is so amazing. I can palm mute but try doing it while finger picking, that's a whole new world of hard. Li Jie never ceases to amaze me. Seriously if not the best then very, very close to the best guitarist out there.
Wowwwww . What a rendition !!! I just saw the John Williams version ,that is great , but nothing is like this .Congratulations for this wonderfull lady .
unbelievable talent, she's playing this piece when she was only teen, but some people like me, could not play this piece until old age. I admire her so much
holy mother of god. this is the best guitar playing I've ever seen. as a guitarist myself, I can safely say that this is impossible unless you are a god among men. Li Jie, props for being the best classical guitarist in the world.
Very hard piece. When I first started playing it took me three months all day practicing to play it properly, even though I have over twenty five years experience with the guitar.
Unknown guitar soloist?
Her name is Jie Li and she kicks asses big time!!
C'mon...
Let's hope it was a joke ;-)
485 jealous pentatonic blues scale players

She is Jie Li. Now a guitar teacher in the Central Conservatory of Music, China.
LOL
Unknown? She is Li Jie. Amazing World Class guitarist
beginner's luck lol
Amazing? No, she's allright and that's it.
Alright?? No, she is amazing!!
Nah, she ain't. She's pretty good, but nothing beyond that. Pretty shallow interpretation. She doesn't give it a romantic alla Liszt/Mendelssohn interpretation nor a Segovia-like purity achievement. You're just jealous.
You can feel bad after watching this if youre playing guitar.
its true man, im done ....:(
Why would this make me feel bad? This just inspires me to play more.
Love to see you do better mikey.
ooffffffff *****
***** Hey, look at there, check this out, man! Do you see that too? There's like a piece of cloth there... Is she blindfolded, or something? OH YEAH!
DUMBASS.
Worth repeating to keep the commentary up to date. She is the lovely, talented, Li Jie.

Time pass during quanritine
Yeah!! what this man just said 🤔
Talented beyond recognition, for sure. Uplifting - no. It is impossible to be uplifted when one is steeped in unfathomable jelousy at a.. 14 year-old who has attained what I never will and what people who have studies the instrument for decades never will either.
If you can play this song, you can play everything.
i have tabbed this, it seems more difficult than it really is, the most difficult parts is the arpeggios
it gives me a headhache this arpeggio.
Rom Rom if you can play this song doesnt mean a thing, if you ask her to play Steve vai..it will be a hard, al di meola? another fail,..paco de lucia and his intricate moved...fail. when i learned to play fast and intracate passages i thought i knew it all..but i couldnt be more wrong. peace!
Claudio Cruzat
thats common sense
Latin Lover for some.. not always
I am learning this piece and is very difficult. She is a máster.

Probably,
watched this video over a hundred of times... Such a great performance.
I'd like to see any video of some unknown guitarist with the description: "Unknown caucasian guitar soloist playing ..."
well that won't happen white ppl want to be known....lol
She is well known, her name is Li Jie
I couldn't play this song even if my brain was directly plugged to the guitar... just amazing...
I have always admired this performance since 2009 , I actually quited from playing to enjoy such master pieces as this sample. My most sincere congratulations for Li Jie
Great❤
Wait a minute!!
2006??? Good lord!
When this video was uploaded,
I used to make mess on the bed🙄!!!
She's make it look easy...
She is trying to say "If you are not an asian, give up on your guitar"
this is just outstanding. loveful to watch, to hear and to know that this level of skill is existing among us.. .-)
4:08 - 5:16 my favorite part. Its been 10 years and I still enjoy this video. Thanks.
I don't know why people would discredit her talent because of her ethnicity... Yea she's Asian and she has probably practiced loads but so do other musicians?

I played classical guitar when i was young. Seeing this remember me how difficult it was and how wonderful she plays. Very very impressive !
roses are red , violets are blue , and there is always an asian who is better than you
Lol so true
+Tomas Pap Because there are so many
+Allen K ya that's one of the reasons.
Chinese is Asian idiot
nah everyone in Asia is so racist they can't comprehend belonging to the same racial category
She's Li Jie
PseudohumanoCL that's what they want us to think
Красота! Одно из самых лучших исполнений, какое бывает. Николо бы заценил и похлопал.
every now and then I keep coming back to this video ... this must be my 40th - 45th time watching this. thank you for keeping this video around! this is truly a treat for the ears and eyes.
Next guitar hero-

mike jones fuck you
she has a diabolic magic in her fingers OMG! honestly i've never seen anything like this before in classic guitar. amazing! mind blowing!
The brilliance and artistry brought tears to my eyes
this is very good performence, guitar very hard than violin why they have to touch wire and violin is not...
sure...
I can do that, hold my beer.
Totally amazing, inspired me to play more classical guitar... absolutely one of the best classical guitar pieces ive ever seen played.
I wish I could experience more moments akin to listening to this. Such talent!
I feel frustrated because i could never play like this , inferiority complex sucks ...
Well you can still aim for half as good or 90% as good... It's better than nothing... :p
+Ayman Achoua i can play this but not same speed, i tabbed it myself from watching the video
That's impressive
+Latin Lover dude you really tabbed all of this???
CAn I get the tab for this piece?

If she could only drive half this good!
+Allen K ='D lol
paganini is difficult to perfome.....on violin.....on quitar even more
Guglielmo Vetere i tend to agree with you. i think it would be easier on guitar. but still extremely challenging on any instrument.
George Dounos In general it would be easier on the guitar, but not when performed like this I would think.
George Dounos hahah nobody who actually plays violin would say that... If you try to play this peace on a violin, you will laugh at your own comment m8.
Guglielmo Vetere Its a joke XD i mean this is amazing talent no denying that. But I play violin bass and classical/electric guitar and this makes me lol so hard. guitarvideos777 Gr8 comment m8 I r8 it 8/8 ;) as Yoda once said: "Great butthurt I sense in you"
she made me melt !! she combined the arrogance of the violin and the softness of the guitar :D just amazing
Thanks for posting! A stunning performance that would make even the venerable John Williams hold his breath for a while.

Even the fact that I wrongly said "he" instead of "she" should be evidence that judging by looks nearly always end up inaccurate...
Mere Eraso He is from Sweden. What do you expect? Sweden is the new Africa and the most liberal country in the world. They don't even use "he" or "she" anymore. People are all "it" in Sweden. The social constructs have really destroyed them.
