Watched it several months ago on hbo max and only a few minutes in, it became a new all time favorite for me. I watched it again at a film festival in my hometown, which was great. Among all the 60s films I've watched, this really astonished me as it felt way ahead of it's time. It's like it was made just for me.

Great Review! I love the crazy stylings and editing techniques. The main characters are basically Marionettes playing with the tonal build of inflicting chaos on the Bourgeoisie!

@@warpathh you know, people say that but when I talk about why i dislike a film that they liked, i get a thumbs down lol the last two recent releases that i thought we’re disappointing was Barbarian and blonde. I also have hot take reviews for memento and pulse. But i plan to do more list videos once I get through these Patron picks. Definitely plan on doing a top 10 hot takes video
@@TheMisfitPond I don’t think UA-cam’s algorithm looks at thumbs-down the same way we would, if that makes sense. The algo focuses on engagement overall so a thumbs down is still valuable. Just saying.

This film was torture. Not Lit. But Del Toro's Pinocchio is very Lit 🥸👌🔥
Overrated, frankly. Hedonism isn't revolutionary. All style, no substance. Somewhat fun, but ultimately thin. 8/10 tops
