Would be great if these guides were more explicit with which items to sell/replace late game, because as a new player its hard to tell which items are core for the build and which are just for early game. Great guide nonetheless.
You should only have to sell extra regen and melee lifesteal in like 99% of games, and then spirit strike if you really need it. Will keep that in mind if I make another vid like this
Don’t forgot slowing hex stops pockets teleport. If he casts it he usually waits a few seconds to get range so if you cast it a second or two into it you can interrupt him from teleporting out.
I played this build and while its decent I find Enchanted Barrier/Phantom Strike/Shadow Weave insta 4-active-item oneshot build to be better. Just because of kill threat pressure you apply on enemy team and fear it induces. Idea is not mine but rather from bebop mains. The build I personally came up with is very similar to yours but I utilized enduring spirit (8% LS, 4 SP for 500??), close quarters (also boosts melee, can be upgraded to point blank later) and improved spirit instead.

Great insight in this video thank you, one question is when should you optimally be using left vs right click on Yamato? For example does right click melee proc spirtual overflow? Should you be triple left clicking to proc SO? Again great video and insight into Yamato itemization.
I’m p sure alt fire doesn’t proc SO it doesn’t work with a lot of things so if you have SO left click a lll more, but alt fires are really nice in your combos, I believe I talked a lil more about it in my playstyle guide video

I know you main Yamato but any thoughts on how you would mod this for Shiv? I have a similar build to this in many ways but trying to consider if it’s right enough yet. Shiv also doesn’t have very good spirit damage at range like Yamato so seems like torment pulse would be a no brainer with escalating. I have 2 questions, what do you think about getting ammo scavanger as 1st or second item in lane. I feel like It helps a lot of with securing souls with low ammo count of Yamato. 2nd question, why do you go straight into Mystic reverb instead of improved burst? Improved burst seems to give similar dmg on 1 and the rest of the effects are good,but it means you dont get stronger for quite a long time.
ammo scav is decent i just dont wanna give up a slot or spend more on tier 1s, and you want reverb first because burst gets better the more health they have. Reverb also gives you 15 range resist and lifesteal and is an extra slow its a LOT more than just the dmg added. also if you look at the graph when i show reverb it did more than twice the amount of dmg as burst when i get burst right after reverb
Hey Fred, What about Lifestrike? You just upgrade melee lifesteal so it doesn't take an extra slot. Then you get movement slow on hit, extra health, extra health on hit, and some other factors. Thoughts?
I tried this build and it was a ton of fun deleting Vindictas and Grey Talons, but I would usually fall off hard in 40+ minute games and get outcarried by Hazes and Wraiths. Even characters like Warden and McGinnis made it hard to go in when they had a ton of items. Probably a skill issue on my part, but how do you deal with gun carries late game when you can't oneshot them anymore?
it really depends on the game but if youre strugglign with super tanky people then escalating exposure and torment will give you slashes that do over 1500 dmg, and if you have refresher you can stay in fights for super long. If youre not getitng kills you can still get value by taking attention, cooldowns, and doing a ton of dmg

So a question, I love this build, but I seem to struggle getting the late game items completely filled out even at 40+ minutes. Is there any items we should be selling? Or is it just straight camp farming and kills that allows you to get all these 6000+ items?
in most games you wont get a lot of the items in the build, theyre just there in case you do get to those amount of souls. in like a 45+ minute game youll get a lot more of them
i find superior stamina often better than just movespeed... stamina helps you escape tricky situations, or join them, while with just move speed you're quick out of stamina actions/jumps and you're dead

@@housambarakat9279 theyre using macros to press multiple things at the same time. IMO it’s super scummy and just diminishes any skill in using combos or anything. The one necros is using also just isn’t very good he just has way more souls
her 1 2 and reverb slows, shes already one of the fastest movement speed heroes on the game, ult makes you faster, and 2 closes p much any distance after upgraded so i dont really think you need extra stam. also kinetic dash amkes your dash jumps only take 1 stam and is super fast
Do you think the gun Yamato build is viable over spirit in any situations? I feel like the build has a far weaker early / early mid game and feels infinitely worse for the first 15 or so minutes, but once things progress to mid/late game its monsterous at split pushing and taking on 1v1s. In 30 games of gun build exclusively I've been able to get a 74.1% wr with 550 obj dps/min, but I don't know if thats because its genuinely viable, or if I was just playing against worse players. Input would be greatly appreciated!
i think the only thing its better at is split pushing, and spirit yamato can still split push well and is still a demon in 1v1s. unless youre giga fed on gun yamato then you p much do nothing in team fights but anyone can carry when theyre giga fed

@@FredTheFinch I'm inclined to completely agree with you, however you have surge of power in your build and I think boundless spirit completely beats it. It does everything surge of power does better.

Like you already can buy the Reactive Barrier like you said to invalidate his kit or combo at least, but you can actually full stop delete his damage from you?! That's going to need to be changed if it's not an unintentional bug or something, otherwise I see why people can say he sucks way more lmfao

it gives a lot of healing and after one upgrade point it slow their fire rate by 60%. its your sustain ability and makes 1v1s against ADC gun heroes really favorable for you
her 1 has really good scaling and super high dmg with a low cd, her ult resets all of her cds and her 2 is realy strong for closing distance ot hit your 1. on the contrary she doesnt have amazing gun scaling, she has really bad falloff, your 1 doesnt do much if youre building for gun and a useless ability is always bad, and gun yamato really struggles in team fights
Yamato is just such a bland hero. jumps around and deals damage. If shes bad or mediocre she runs around turns red and then dies, if shes good she is an unkillable stat stick, but plays the same. Whatever she does she just kind of "exists"... Needs a rework ASAP.

"shes kinda there, dying" or "shes kinda there, killing us all" There isnt any specific thing she does that makes her stand out. In a vc cooperation, i can not ever imagine having any specific callouts about her. its not "shes on cd she cant sleep you" its not "bebop missed hook!". its always "shes on me" or "shes running there" or basic callouts. No game changing ult, nothing to outplay, its either shes good and hits her abilities and plays flanks or shes bad and dies in teamfights.

Well, shes a melee hyper carry. She can either be really good if ahead or really bad if behind. But it's refreshing because everyone in the cast is mainly shooter based except for mo and krill

torment pulse and escalating exposure are my two big purcahses first because they stack together allowing you to hit 1,000+ damage Q's early.

gun dmg is good but its not great to use flex slots for the extra gun stuff you would rather just go spirit items and duration items

Yea if you need a slot you can sell them, just try your best to keep spirit strike for a long time the rest don’t really matter

Movespeed most valuable stat in most mobas
In Deadlock it only applies to vindicta since she flies. For all other characters there is plenty enough movement tech to make movespeed irrelevant.

It’s definitely intentional his bomb is a debuff it’s why building bebop only for bombs is really bad

In the end game screen at the bottom hit graphs and then that one is healing by type

What’s wrong with building gun?
well most of yamatos abilities dont support gun play. Not that theres anything wrong with it.
I tried gun build, it’s also just as good. I think go spirit build when your team already got a lot of bullet characters and vice versa
