Great film boys and even greater adventure. this is my new favorite channel. The US boys better be happy y'all are not over here full-time or else you'd completely take over the western hunting media scene.
You’re a legend made! Thank you for the awesome feedback, you genuinely brought a smile to our faces 🙌 We’re planning on heading back in 2025 if tag draws play the game so expect some more epic content!
Thanks, we were fortunate enough to pull it off in the end with pressure mounting, however the journey leading up to that moment was equally as incredible!
I've watched a lot of elk hunting films, but what you guys put together is something special. The tempo of the film was sick, especially 38 mins - I only wish there was a longer cut, because you definitely put in the time and had the shots to slow it down. Incredible animals, beautiful country and a trip of a lifetime - this is a showing of what hunting films can be! Great work and awesome bull!
Thank you very much, we appreciate your kind words and feedback! Theres certainly more to come. In early 2025 we will be releasing a series for this adventure and dedicate the proper time to dive into the raw/ uncut emotions and perspectives from the hunt. There was simply too much footage and neat wildlife encounters to unpack in just one film. You can use this as a trailer / highlight video as to whats to come!

Top work gents 👌🏼 wicked camera work and a true example of persistence against the odds. Congratulations on another excellent representation of why we love the chase 🙏🏻
Well done to the pair of you guys, yet another sensational story captured for us all to share, the txt msg’s at the start really gets those feelings pumped up. Congratulations well done guys.👍👌
Cheers mate! We put in a lot of work for that film both on the mountain and when editing, so we're stoked you enjoyed it. Our friends at Huntin' Fool were a massive part of this hunts success. Without them we would have never drawn this specific tag.
Thanks Scott, glad you enjoyed! The highs and lows were a massive part of this trip. Twenty days of hunting takes it out of you physically, yet the mental battle was by far tougher. Not having years of experience of what a "shooter" bull looked also made every bull that we passed up a real mental debate!
We were very lucky to experience an elk hunt like this on so few points but it goes to show the expertise of Huntin' Fool and their services. We honestly haven't had the bull measured as of yet! A few knowledgeable elk hunters that laid hands on him before we headed home to Australia suggested he would be in that 340-345 mark yep! So your guess would be as good as ours haha
Thanks Will, we appreciate it! This was all filmed using the Sony AS3 and Sony A7r4, with a combination of lenses including the sigma 24-70, sigma 150-60mm and Tamron 18-300. We were a modest two man team with James behind the bow and Ayden dual slinging cameras, tripods and lenses over the mountain side trying to capture all the exciting encounters!
Against All Odds refers not only to the hunt in this instance, but the draw odds and tag applications. An Australian, non resident with virtually no points, drawing a limited entry elk tag in Montana, USA is as the title suggests...
Congrats Gents. Inspirational, enjoyed watching with my family. Don't know how you resisted putting an arrow in some of those quality bulls from the first few days. How many years have you been going in the draw for an elk tag?
Thanks so much mate! Thats great to hear and we appreciate you sharing with your family. Honestly there's probably a bit of rookie error mixed in there regarding passing up bulls early in the trip. We had our hearts set on a mature bull and were having too much of a good time observing elk to shoot something early, given we had a fair chunk of time devoted to the hunt. In hindsight some of the early trip / pre rut bulls were probably the most mature bulls and best opportunities for a stalk! If we had the tag again, we would probably be a bit more aggressive early and try and identify a shooter earlier, rather than have a spectator mindset.

What a great experience with all the game and patience to pull at the right time! 🍻 👍

@ the hard work does not go unnoticed, well done again👍👌
nice video 🔥
Thank you, we appreciate your contribution also.
Thanks a bunch, appreciate you watching!
Absolutely awsome fellas, there are so many animals there yet so many highs and lows and frustrations getting into bow range on a big one .
We’ll done
Thanks Scott, glad you enjoyed!

Hell, yes congrats boys awesome video and a great bull
Thanks a bunch, glad you enjoyed the film!
Very good boys. Very very good 🫡
Cheers legend!
so awesome guys, I can see why it's one of the best units in the state. Not that it matters, did he go 345ish?
We were very lucky to experience an elk hunt like this on so few points but it goes to show the expertise of Huntin' Fool and their services.

Great Video!! What camera do you guys use to film?
Thanks Will, we appreciate it!

A 340 bull is a once in a lifetime for normal tag drawing hunters.
Thank you, greatly appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed
Is this 2023? Because elk season did start till the 7 this year.
Yep, thats correct!
This hunt took place in September 2023
Fucking epic❤
Cheers mate!
Love how the film is titled against all odds but he’s hunting private 🙄
Against All Odds refers not only to the hunt in this instance, but the draw odds and tag applications.
An Australian, non resident with virtually no points, drawing a limited entry elk tag in Montana, USA is as the title suggests...
Its probably unit 411 or 380
We hope you understand, although we wont be specifying any units.
Cheers mate!
After all those big bulls…that’s the bull you killed ?? 👎🏼
Even for a bot you’re a dick
Yes Sir, and over the moon about it!
