Just imagine if like only one out of 100 specialists give part of their time to upload such videos and share their experiences with other doctors across the planet.. the human impact would be enormous.
Seriously much respect for the time and the spirit of sharing Dr. Ebrahim.
A cordial thanks to you from a young resident.

I wish my doctor had sent me to this video to explain my injury (Maisonneuve Fracture). I was skeptical of the need for surgery but after seeing this video it is clear that he made the right decision. Today is the first day I am cleared to (carefully) wear a shoe.

Thanks a lot for your informative video about syndesmotic injury. In case of severe Pilon fracture of the ankle which combined with syndesmotic injury, I wonder if it is necessary to fix the syndesmosis. Can anyone enlighten me?

Well I guess that depend of the injury but I had a trimalleolar fracture and my tibia was a mess. They coundn't fix it with just two screws they put a lot of pins. They "fix" my broken bones on the first surgery and i had a second operation 6 weeks later and they fix my syndesmosis with the tightrope. It was a choice(recommendation) that my doctor gave me to prevent osteoarthritis.

This describes exactly the issues I’m having with my ankle and fibula but the doctors keep sending me back home saying it’s just a soft tissue injury!!! What should I do ?

Schedule and appointment with an orthopedic doctor.

Ask for an xray. I put up with it for a week before going to hospital and found i had a maisonneuve fracture (medial ankle, ayndesmosis and fibula neck). Hard to deny X-rays.
