Looking at this for my blind dog as his hearing is ultra sensitive and he trembles shakes and pants so bad with thunder and heavy wind😢. So glad I found this idea
I to have a blue heeler, my problem is my dog is not one to enjoy treats, matter of fact she ignores them… How do you train without treats, what other methods can I use, training her anything else is easy because I use her frisbee as a reward, but I’m finding that rather difficult in regards to the gear because she hates the gear, and could care less about the frisbee while the gear is in the room
I would work on the food drive and use really high value food, something she hasn't had before. Another thing to note, depending on what the reason for use for the gear is. If it's more so kinda for fun, be kinda cool, I wouldn't push my dog on that training. If it's more on the side of safety, then I would be looking at different ways I can successfully train it. You want to break down the training as much as possible with what you have described.
Sooner or later no dog likes having stuff on their head. That doesn't look like it has anything to hold it on and most dogs would have it off effortlessly.

Hi Kona, your wonderful, and good!

What do you feed them? And how much? They look really healthy.
They eat a raw food diet! Specially, Naturawls.
@@EngagedK9 Thanks, really appreciate it!
What size Ear Pro did you buy? A size 2? Size 3? What did your dog’s head measure?
Kona wears the size 3!
What treats are ya giving Kona?
Looks like kibble. I change up what I use for food rewards. Use what is of high value to your dog.
What situations are the specs needed for?
We use it when we ATV. Others use it for UV protection. Some dogs have eye conditions making them sensitive to light.
do you think this will work well with fireworks etc?
I think by the looks rexspecs made this to keep degree outa of the ears not for sound
their site specifically mentions this as a potential application for non working dogs
Yep! This will help dampen the sound of fireworks and loud noises helping with reactivity that dogs experience.
Sooner or later no dog likes having stuff on their head. That doesn't look like it has anything to hold it on and most dogs would have it off effortlessly.
and now you have successfully impaired your dog's sight and hearing.....
What is the point of putting all this on your dog?
Protection during certain activities.
Personally Ive just been stuffing my dogs ears with a cotton ball when we hunt until I found this
@@EngagedK9 are you shooting rifles or something? I’m not sure why the extreme ear pro
Gotcha, that makes sense
@@magatilithertz8414 some dogs also have noise phobias. To things like fireworks, thunder, etc.
Your dog doesn't need this, stop
