Delighted to have found you here on UA-cam. I have been searching for good Shepherds. I've been following Archbishop Vigano, Fr Altman and so many more recently. Father, I agree with you on many things and I hold up my hand and admit I have thought bad things about pope Francis since he had pachamama in the Vatican. Jesus also said, know him by his fruits. I was very angry but pray for him. In prayer I realised I had to give my confusion, anger etc to God as this is all too much for me. However there is also a just anger too. What happens if your immune system is compromised? I can personally attest to the result. It puts you into a very high risk category. Your immune system cannot fight infections, viral or bacterial. You are susceptible to health disorders such as allergies, asthma, arthritis and rheumatic disorders and finally, cardio vascular disease. Immune systems do not come in one size fits all. Flu and pneumonia shots and a number of vaccines can and do save lives. Give this subject some thought, and imagine a life of daily pain, receiving care from numerous physicians, all with the same reply, "I can't cure you, but I can help you." Would you refuse preventative treatment?

God is truth and those who teach us to walk in truth, even if it is at times unpleasant, are following the Lord's teaching. We have no authority to judge Pope Francis or anyone, however we have the right of discernment. If I see or hear a teacher of our Faith making confusing pronouncements or engaging in astonishing behavior (striking a woman in public, allowing perverse idols in God's temple) I can follow my reason telling me that these acts present a danger to the Church. I must be especially alert and watchful if the perpetrator of this questionable teaching comes from the highest authority of the Church. God knows what lies in the mind of Pope Francis, and He will deal with any errors. Our recourse is prayer, especially the Our Father, and to be vigilant. Fr Doyle is absolutely correct. He doesn't exercise any form of rebellion or hatred. He observes the same incidents that many find questionable and confusing, and instructs us to deal with our misgivings "in the spirit". Trust in God and pray for His assistance.

Confusion! What a beautiful person. Pope Francis needs our prayers. He says what satinist say, you can go to Communion when you're married to a second spouse without getting an anullment. He has time for CEOs but not a Bishop from China. It goes on & on. He needs to become a child of God, the Father of Jesus.
St. Paul himself, did not hesitate to correct St. Peter regarding forced circumcision. Therefore, who is to say that our current Pope is not wrong with his many confusing and bewildering statements that have caused so much confusion and division in the Church? I respect his position as the Vicar of Christ on earth; however, if he strays along the way, he is not above God's law and teachings, and should be put into line and corrected by his fellow-bishops without fear of reprimand.

I am a new 'Parishioner, Father', here in the State of Colorado, United States of America. You have helped me with your Homilies before and ESPECIALLY today's on the subject of our Blessed Father, Pope Francis. I do not like his behaviors, but insist that I respect his soul and pray for his shortcomings and that Jesus care for him and correct anything that's required. I might add that I am also in dislike as to the Administration of the Vatican, which I feel is morally corrupted among other items, including the laws of this earth are being broken. What keeps my soul calm is that Jesus' Laws and Teachings are not corrupted and that He said to keep our eyes on His Face, not on the surrounding storm.

Well stated Fr you have given me guidance again.I shall continue to go to Confession once a week to try at least to remain as much as I can in a state of Grace and not once a year because Pope Francis says it's ok which has been suggested to me locally.My decision is I believe in the Spirit and definately not the flesh as that is exactly what I'm fighting against . Your words helped me to understand better the those who criticize Pope Francis. When I've heard people calling him names I was stunned that godly people would speak that way rather than in a Christ like way. It hurt and confused me. May the voice of Jesus Himself be heard above all others.

I am currently studying MA Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care and as a “want to be” traditional catholic layman, I find good guidance in your words. If I may, can you tell me because I’m unsure, if I have the right (because I’m not an ordained Priest) to administer the Holy Eucharist and other services as a catholic Chaplain working in ie healthcare and other areas and the role (as you see it) that a Catholic layperson Chaplain should play. I've often thought father of the verse of St Paul that says there must be factions. How do we reconcile this with the call to be of one mind? Paul's statement referring to the necessity of factions almost lends legitimacy to the ever splintering denominations within protestantism. I find it hard to reconcile.
Anyone who does not desire Christian unity and who is not working for Christian unity does not have the mind of Christ. But Christian unity has to be centred on Jesus and His teaching. Splintering occurs when there are people who replace the teaching of Jesus with their own ideas or interpretations.

Dear father Doyle, I agree with you on many of them issues that you present to us but I feel as though the anger of a lot of Catholics is growing because this Pope keeps making statements that truly are not the teaching of Christ. And after all, we are only uman therefore we are so fallible and many of us try to overlook some of the statements he makes and Hope and pray that he will soon repent but he's not doing it! I am 74 years old and I remember when the church was perfect and it Grieves my heart so badly to see it in its present condition and I I am often very depressed and I pray that my depression does not lead me into rage or anger. But father it is very hard. Nevertheless, the True Church of Christ which I remember so well from my childhood will always be alive in my heart but I wonder how much harder it is for the younger Catholic who never knew the church as we Elders did how hard it must be for them and they are the ones that are really not in control of their emotions and really are acting a little crazy!! It would be a good idea for the Elders of the church 2 strive to talk to these younger people and try to explain to them that no matter what God is still in control and Jesus did say.... The Gates of Hell shall not Prevail against my church! This is the statement that we must keep in mind when we feel that our church as it was and should always be is dead! No matter what we see or hear cool, we must Keep On Believing in that statement of our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you father with good health and peace!

God is truth and those who teach us to walk in truth, even if it is at times unpleasant, are following the Lord's teaching. We have no authority to judge Pope
Francis or anyone, however we have the right of discernment. If I see or hear a teacher of our Faith making confusing pronouncements or engaging in astonishing behavior (striking a woman in public, allowing perverse idols in God's temple) I can follow my reason telling me that these acts present a danger to the Church. I must be especially alert and watchful if the perpetrator of this questionable teaching comes from the highest authority of the Church.
God knows what lies in the mind of Pope Francis, and He will deal with any errors. Our recourse is prayer, especially the Our Father, and to be vigilant.
Fr Doyle is absolutely correct. He doesn't exercise any form of rebellion or hatred. He observes the same incidents that many find questionable and confusing, and instructs us to deal with our misgivings "in the spirit". Trust in God and pray for His assistance.

St. Paul himself, did not hesitate to correct St. Peter regarding forced circumcision. Therefore, who is to say that our current Pope is not wrong with his many confusing and bewildering statements that have caused so much confusion and division in the Church? I respect his position as the Vicar of Christ on earth; however, if he strays along the way, he is not above God's law and teachings, and should be put into line and corrected by his fellow-bishops without fear of reprimand.

I am a new 'Parishioner, Father', here in the State of Colorado, United States of America. You have helped me with your Homilies before and ESPECIALLY today's on the subject of our Blessed Father, Pope Francis. I do not like his behaviors, but insist that I respect his soul and pray for his shortcomings and that Jesus care for him and correct anything that's required. I might add that I am also in dislike as to the Administration of the Vatican, which I feel is morally corrupted among other items, including the laws of this earth are being broken. What keeps my soul calm is that Jesus' Laws and Teachings are not corrupted and that He said to keep our eyes on His Face, not on the surrounding storm.

Yes a 500 year Protestant lie saying Catholic popes are of the anti Christ.
But the Catholic Church Bishop of Rome has had at least 20 anti popes in it's history.
In end times it says many of the elect will be deceived as the elect are the Catholic faithful.

Unforgiveness, bitterness, & resentment are easy things for me to hold onto. If you've convinced yourself that is all you have, you'll cherish & protect that anger. I've often thought father of the verse of St Paul that says there must be factions. How do we reconcile this with the call to be of one mind? Paul's statement referring to the necessity of factions almost lends legitimacy to the ever splintering denominations within protestantism. I find it hard to reconcile.
Anyone who does not desire Christian unity and who is not working for Christian unity does not have the mind of Christ. But Christian unity has to be centred on Jesus and His teaching. Splintering occurs when there are people who replace the teaching of Jesus with their own ideas or interpretations.

Dear father Doyle, I agree with you on many of them issues that you present to us but I feel as though the anger of a lot of Catholics is growing because this Pope keeps making statements that truly are not the teaching of Christ. And after all, we are only uman therefore we are so fallible and many of us try to overlook some of the statements he makes and Hope and pray that he will soon repent but he's not doing it! I am 74 years old and I remember when the church was perfect and it Grieves my heart so badly to see it in its present condition and I I am often very depressed and I pray that my depression does not lead me into rage or anger. But father it is very hard. Nevertheless, the True Church of Christ which I remember so well from my childhood will always be alive in my heart but I wonder how much harder it is for the younger Catholic who never knew the church as we Elders did how hard it must be for them and they are the ones that are really not in control of their emotions and really are acting a little crazy!! It would be a good idea for the Elders of the church 2 strive to talk to these younger people and try to explain to them that no matter what God is still in control and Jesus did say.... The Gates of Hell shall not Prevail against my church! This is the statement that we must keep in mind when we feel that our church as it was and should always be is dead! No matter what we see or hear cool, we must Keep On Believing in that statement of our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you father with good health and peace!
