@@EZBOT_in all seriousness how do you feel about trading in an octa for this? I value overbridge quite a bit and decided NOT to sound design in the octa lol.
@@EZBOT_ I think the only thing I’m missing is a real slice mode but yeah, I’m a dungeon dweller, not a performance kind of guy. Thanks for the insight!
Awesome walkthrough and you answered a question that I've had for some time: what do I do with the world's fanciest pedal when all my elektron boxes have multiple channels? I can't isolate a single channel to go through the pedal. The answer is simple: you sample your sound through the pedal and into the Digitakt! The vocoder was a great example.
What a lovely mellow track..My only gripe is the snare sound is a bit out of place..I would have put a soft clap type snare on it..but hey....its excellent...
My biggest complaint about the digitakt is the lack of stereo sampling. Sucks we have all these stereo toys for leads and pads and they get nerfed coming into the digitakt. I’m glad we can add delay and reverb but I’d rather just retain the stereo field that I had going in. That way you could capture the mood mk2 in all of its glory.
I've thought about getting one of these specifically because of the cc control. Would love to see a demonstration of that using an elektron box to sequence. Have you done that?
Hello, this is a bit off topic.. Is there a way to copy tracks between patterns?? I figure, if anyone knows the answer to this you do… Thanks.. Ps.. On the syntakt..lol
Hey great demo of the power of an electron set up! Quick question though on the choice of using the Digitakt to sample the Mood 2. You mentioned that you used the OP-1 as it's got good stereo capabilities and the Mood 2 is now in stereo, but when you sample into Digitakt, it only samples in mono right? Does that not defeat the objective of using the OP-1 and Mood 2?
in terms of sampling yes but in regards to playing with the mood its more fun in stereo. This video took place over 2 hours, it was an unscripted jam that was edited into a short video. So some context is lost.
@@EZBOT_ I understand. So the initial intention was to play around with the Mood 2 with some stereo information, and the sampling into the DT was just a natural next steps once you found something useful. Is the mono sampling in the DT a point of frustration for you at all? Or do you just roll with it and add reverb/delay to widen up any sounds once you've sampled them?
@@freddiefranklin1 I just roll with it and add reverb and delay. When I don’t want the limitations of hardware I produce on my computer. I don’t mind the mono sampling all that much
There's one thing that bugged me about this... The part about how you chose the OP-1 to pair with the MOOD MKII is because the OP-1 is a 'stereo synth and one of the biggest features of the MKII is that it's stereo, yet, you sampled into the DT (which is mono) rather than the OT (which is stereo)🤔. I'm not going to deny that the sample wasn't awesome however. The MOOD definitely has a way of...adding mood 😛. And the final song had me moving and that's all that really matters right?
@@EZBOT_ oh definitely. Can’t wait for them to stereoize Blooper. Been holding off getting one with hopes that they do. But the MOOD is still awesome. Even MKI sound awesome. They’re just so expensive 🙁
I just bought a Syntakt, sometimes after having pushed Function, Track Pattern and or Bank, I get no sound at all no matter what I do next.......Is there a reboot way of getting back to factory settings>?
I have to disagree with that. Not enough tracks to have the control I need. Plus why take away gear for one track? That’s like deleting VSTs cause my DAW has built in devices.
@@EZBOT_ I’m just selling a syntakt right now, and this vid almost made me reconsider. Silly psychological stuff. What do you mean “control”? Different drums on different tracks? Layering sounds for more control over timbre?
@@nottieru for my setup/live performance workflow I like to have control over individual sounds. I don’t want all my sound summed down to 12 tracks maximum which is what it would be with OT/DN.
Boss, be careful when pouring those liquids in your circuitry. Your quest to be human is causing some very questionable behavior. Most people have no idea that you are an artificial intelligence unit. Don’t take a chance and short circuit trying to sell the idea that you are human. You would be surprised to know how easy it is to fool people. However it is admirable that you don’t take that for granted.

Hey man, How can I buy from you the effect parameters you have for the OT?
@@quantika72 you can get the template from Ko-Fi.com/ezbot
So goooood…🖤🫶
Thank you!
It's true. It is the way.
This is the way.
Best moments compilation from last Elektron talks then
Haha, exactly!
Always great sound and vibe
Thank you!
Sounds so good, you should do another video with the DT2, now that it is stereo should work even better with this stereo MOOD MK2
Hah! Elektron definitely won't add chorus to the syntakt now because of Heat + FX... :(
great stuff
Thanks!
Super Inspiring! thx as always~..🤖
You are the Elektron maestro.

It’s pronounced Le Quack! Get it righhht

Mood II looks absolutely sick. Can’t believe how EZ that was!
So EZ!!!
Really nice vibes! Really enjoyed seeing how you work through the different parts and build the track.

This is awesome! Sir, may I ask how u use the Analog Heat (MK1 I assume?) with which device?
In this setup it's "coloring" the sound. So just some slight distortion to the overall signal.
I've thought about getting one of these specifically because of the cc control. Would love to see a demonstration of that using an elektron box to sequence. Have you done that?
I haven't tried the synth mode yet, i need to do that.
Sick!:)
Thanks!

Seems like a feature that’s missing..
Dont u need to occupy two tracks on the Digitakt and pan them L/R for the OP Mood sample?
❤
Chorus and tape warble pretty please.
Why go stereo to then sample in mono?
I was playing it live in stereo and sampled in mono
mood 2 is stereo -> sampling into digitakt -> mono … why???
I was playing with it in stereo just so I could enjoy it while I wrote music

I can’t help but notice that an OT, a Digitone and a Mood could really do that without all the other boxes.
