This is fantastic, I'm so happy to see people are trying something similar to Christina Hunger's method. Are you able to tell me where you picked up these fantastic buttons? Thank you for posting this and your progress!
First, I'm a sucker for these talking dog videos. These buttons are the greatest! Second, with their aptitude for understanding human language & ability to build a large vocabulary, Australian Shepherds & Border Collies are the ideal breeds for these experiments. Can't wait to see Penny's progress!
Such an adorable video. What a great pair you two make. What made this video even better is that my pupper's named Penny as well! She's a mutt but she is very responsive to speech and keywords. We have a small vocabulary, and i keep thinking about trying this method to see if her learning could adapt and grow from this.
Wow so smart for week one! My dog is only on button #2 lol we posted videos with little snippets of how our doggos are doing but I can't wait to see the progress after 6 months or a year :)
Hot glue beads around the base and over the record button. It removes easily using rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. The missing button makes the board asymmetric which hopefully helps orientation.
How did you intiially train/teach her to use the buttons? We are trying to just model using the buttons for our dog, but she hasn't quite made the connection.
Model a food, water, and outside button. Let the dog see you press it every time you give food or water. Teach the treat button like any other trick using high value treat. The connection will be made and soon you can ask the dog to tell you food, water, or outside. Don't quite.Good luck.
See no I can't do this for my dog is my dog would you be pressing the frisbee button all the time she's obsessed with it to the point to where if you're holding it and she can't get it she starts foaming in the mouth
The sheer excitement of the guy is almost as precious as the dog...
My dog would stand on the play button from the moment she woke up until we go to bed 😂
For my lab she'd be standing on the food button
@Steve the Pirate I had to put "cookie" up. God, she knows how to spell the word cookie.
It's like a universe, where Scooby can't talk, but Shaggy gave him a translator. I love it. 💗

That's just amazing..... I wish I could teach my old malamute this stuff. She's too old to want to try. This is amazing.

I love your happiness with the dog getting it and also the dog doing things happily.
Why does this make me so unbelievably happy
It would be awesome if you made a tutorial for this?
More videos please!
She is so pretty!
Absolutely gorgeous dog
It helps that the bree of dog is known for their intelligence. Imagine trying that with a cat.... it would press “NF given”
Check out my channel to watch our cat doing it! 😄
Somebody did and the cat randomly presses and spams "mad" apparently, lol
