- This video sees me taking a look into the multitude of problems currently plaguing Everton FC behind the scenes, with supporters extremely fearful over the club's chances of retaining their Premier League status for another year. Frank Lampard has been relieved of his duties, Farhad Moshiri has put them in all sorts of FFP bother and Bill Kenwright is on the verge of a full-blown civil war; with those who turn up to watch the team every week voicing their growing feelings of discontent at every turn.

As an Everton fan, can I thank you for such an excellent summary of our chaos.
As an Everton fan, great overview of the issues Dan, not too many outside of Everton really understand the issues of the club and the reasons why the fanbase are so annoyed with how the club is run other than just looking at us and painting us as negative/toxic which is not at all true. Hopefully with Dyche and the money from the Gordon sale Thelwell can sign us some players that can keep us up but the board issues are a long term and huge issue and even if Dyche keeps us up they need to be sorted out. One can only hope that all corners of the table view this video. The problems all laid out for everyone to take in. The three "P" rule needs to start now from top to bottom throughout the club. (Perfect Plan, Perfect Preparation, Perfect Performance. Dan, this is spot on and although filmed what, 7 months ago, still reflects our situation to this day. We survived again by the skin of our teeth, and already this season feels like it will be a long hard slog again and we could sleepwalk into the abyss if we don’t see change at the top. I hope I’m wrong. Thank you for your excellent overview and insight into the inner turmoil that fans of our great club are going through, which to neutrals must seem like a disaster waiting to happen.
The problems for me started with Martinez. In his first season, he inherited a solid team through its defence and midfield . He added flair and Lukakus goals to that and had what was a solid side with goals in every position. He changed that system, and it fell apart after he was sacked. Everton chased success rather than build steadily on what they had. Player after player overrated, overvalued, and overpaid walked through the door via successive managers. In came Carlo, and he showed what could be done with the players we had. Who knows what might have been had he stayed. After he left, Evertons board just fell to bits, Rafa was a monumental mistake, and Frank wasn't experienced enough. The rebuild needs to start now and quickly. On the fans part, all we can do is turn Goodison into the bear pit it once was and get behind what we have because it's all we have.

As an outsider this feels like a decent summary of a worrying situation for an Everton fan.
I'm an everton fan. It's a very worrying time, but it's mostly on the board. It's their mismagement of managers' finances and transfer of poor players. It time to for bill to go his looking ill and is his out of touch with the fans as are farhad moshiri and the board. We have a great history but that nothing asmt the moment. There was an Arab group that came in before farhad Bought us, but he didn't trust Arab investment. I like the dyche appointment he will stabilise us. I understand the unrest between fellow fans but its turning toxic. We buggered with ffp. Moshiri has had to advise from super agents like medes joorabchin and the late mino riola. I agree with Alex. Great summary.

Well covered mate. There’s a complete lack of structure, and huge impatience. It seems the managers we have brought on board are all short term projects aside from Marco Silva, which didn’t work out unfortunately. Dyche again is a short term project. They need to commit to a long term vision.

Ive been an Everton supporter for > 50 years. I‘ve never seen the club in such disarray. You‘ve provided an excellent summary. IMHO the board and owner are to blame for this mess. They don‘t know how to run a football club period.
As an Evertonian, I think you did a great job of describing the implosion of Everton FC! 7 managers, 3 directors of football and countless random players are obvious indicators of our current predicament! It's a mess!

As an Evertonian, a large issue I have with Kenwright is how he celebrates mediocrity. He told fans while we were in last year's relegation battle 'we've had good times', a completely inapropriate thing to say in that situation and stank of indifference, he had the newspaper clipping of us staying up framed in his office, ignoring how it should have never have come to that point at all. He's perfectly content with Everton never going forward, and that stagnation has caused us to go backwards and end in what I think will be our inevitable relegation, to which Kenwright's reaction will no doubt be one of 'oh well'. Him combined with our CEO who is completely unqualified for her position have destroyed this football club with their lack of care, thought or planning put in when being in charge of the club, and things will never truly change until Moshiri sacks them and completely reworks the entire hierarchy into one that will be focused on a consistent strategy to take us forward and pursue the highest levels relentlessly

Great video. Great synopsis of what’s going on at our beloved club. A charlatan chairman who is out of his depth. But refuses to let someone else take over. And an owner that’s playing fast and loose with FFP and threatening our very survival. Great job Dan!!

Dropping down to the championship may seem an option, the reality as a Newcastle fan who have been relegated twice, those who work behind the scenes and keep the club ticking over, they are the first to go in the inevitable cost cutting that follows. Newcastle were fortunate they came straight back up, others weren't so lucky our neighbours 13 miles down the road were relegated to League 1 the following season. New stadium, Championship football, players abandoning a sinking ship, a drastic loss of income, Financial Armageddon is a possibility, no body is to good to go down, its a myth the final league table does not lie

Our problems begun in 2004 when Kenwright took over, is it a coincidence that since then our club honours are .......wait for it.........
F A Cup runners up in 2009 absolutely feck all since. & make no mistake he’s still very much in charge (I have a very reliable sauce) as he is the only common denominator (since winning stuff) then he must go, also we need some ppl on the board who are not “yes men”, at this present time we are a laughing stock. I know that Amanda Holden is a big Evertonian and a celebrity and actress. Jenny Seagrove who is an actress is an Evertonian, Jody Comer is an Evertonian and an actress; and of course Bill Kenwright is connected heavily with theatre and showbusiness. Do you see a pattern here? There seems to be a lot of big time Charlie celebrities from showbusiness associated with and owning and controlling EvertonFC. What the hell do they know about making a professional sporting organization successful? There are just too many amateurs with money who are drunk with the vanity that goes with controlling a large football club. It's a bloody joke. Incidentally, did anyone note the presence of former Labour/SDP politician Dr David Owen in the director's box back there? Evertonian? Or is he a Kenwright crony. This is what I am getting at about the culture at the club being suspect. What the hell is going on. I think Kenwright's influence is unhealthy and I think Moshiri is either too weak or doesn't have the inclination to challenge it. To Bill Kenwright, I know you love the club but you need to go. On the question of Tottenham, I think something similar is going on. Levy and his crew need to get out of Dodge.
