I'm an Indian Texan. Of course I'm not as "Texan" as some others, growing up in the city and all with immigrant parents. But I'm a Texan at heart, and this song means a lot to me. It don't matter who you are, Texas has a place for all Texans.
This song is exactly how I feel I feel like when I grow up there won’t be any old Texas dance halls left or any farm land I feel like everything’s gonna be city 😔
Damn shame what theyve done to our great state and our great country. Im just glad i had the pleasure of knowing Cody and Jesse Raub back in the good ole days, i was just a kid and the few times i got to be around them i always appreciated every moment i got to spend learning things about music and guitar from them and just hearing them tell their old stories (especially cody😂) i still have my first guitar i brought out to show them the third time i met them, they had just got thru playing at the Hall of Fame and came to my uncle Tracy's house for a cookoff he was having, they both got pumped and signed my guitar and kept my 15 year old ass up til 5 in the morning drinking crown and playing guitar😂😂 one of the best memories of my life. Codys story about him in the hospital and high on whatever the docs had him on for pain and him trying to convince his mom to smoke weed with him😂😂😂 that and watching him dance like carlton from fresh prince of bell air when jesse played hey hey mama😂😂😂😂 fucking priceless
I just want to know who those 30 idiots are that gave this a thumbs down??!! Someone probably got offended by the broke back comment lol You really do country music justice.
I don’t understand how anyone could give any of Cody Johnson’s songs a thumbs down. I think he and his band are some of the most talented that I’ve heard.
Cody Johnson is taking our Texas music back to the true value of Texas
I have to admit Cody Johnson really knows how to take country music back to the roots
This song really hits home, I'm damn proud to be Texan! We have the best country artists, and everything is just damn better here!
From its hills and sunsets, to the pines and prairies - texas will always be home to me.
