I own both these movies along with beat streets and I still fancy all these tunes..I’ve been popping the moves yet.🤩😁❤️ born 69 just in time for the unforgettable 80s
There was a Friday late night show on NYC TV on the ABC network during the 1980s called "NY Hot Tracks" where they showed music videos. It was syndicated throughout the US too. Yes, they showed "99 1/2" several times. I used to tape the videos! 😸
Alucinante. Gracias Carol.
Phoenix I subbed ..am 46.this song and movie is my best time memory I connected and loved dancing .the spirit of dance doesnt get better than this. Such an amazing movie. Thank you.Lia
1984 when I was 12 years old growing up in Chicago. Went and saw both Breakin' and Beat Street at the movie theater on Clark Street. Fond, memorable times!
Adolfo Shabba-Doo Quinones is from Chi-town, he used to live in my neighborhood on Erie Street & Wood St. He used to go to Talcott School as a kid n also went to Wells Academy High School. We also had the Union League Boys & Girls Club #2 were as a kid he was going there. In 1984 when Breakin 1 & 2 came out he came to our school Talcott with Michael Boogaloo Schrimp aka Turbo. I was in 6th grade when they came n perform for the kids on stage. Mrs. Richmond our principal at the time, remember Shabba-Doo as a kid. Rip Mrs. Richmond. Those same moves on the video, they were doing it on stage. Also, I wa nted to mention that Shabba-Doo was also a Soul Train Dancer. Great memories as a kid.
